SPECIFICATION FOR ULTRA PURE WATER PURIFICATION SYSTEM The Ultrapure water system must be capable of providing Type-I, Type-II and Type-III water to perform all laboratory functions through one system like washing and rinsing of laboratory glass wares, General Chemistry, Autoclave feed, Buffer and media preparation, sample dilution, reagent preparation, spectrophotometry, Flame photometer and use of water in AAS, ICP, Ion chromatography, Liquid chromatography, molecular biology etc. The water purification system must have multiple quality sensors to regularly monitor both ultrapure and pure water. It will also have inbuilt periodic recirculation to minimize and retarred the production of biofilm. Prefiltration: The Pre-filtration unit will have triple cartridge including 10 micron, 5 micron and 1 micron filters to remove suspended particles, free chlorine and hardness of water in feed water and a booster pump for enhancing the feed water pressure minimum 2 bar (30 psi). Filtration System: There will be an integrated filtration system having Reverse Osmosis, De-ionized filtration with ultra violet disinfection with final point of use filtration of 0.22 micron and option to attach biofilter. Disinfection: The system will have UV lamp with emission at 185 nm and 254 nm wavelength. Reservoir: There will be internal reservoir with minimum 6 ltr capacity Water dispensing System: The water purification system will have auto-volume dispensing function capable of dispensing desired volume of ultra-pure water between 0.1Ltr to 6.0 Ltr or more. Volumetric dispensing accuracy is + 10 ml or + 3% Dispensing Flow Rate: Type-I Water 1.2 Ltr/Minute DATA Transfer and capturing: The system will have data capture facility to capture water parameters via a USB port. Display: Graphic Colour LCD Display with information a. System and performance status b. On routine maintenance requirements c. Alarms for trouble shooting in the event of malfunctioning of system Recirculation of Water: The system will be able to recirculate water through purification components to maintain high water quality whenever dispensed.
