Tenders from Joint ventures are not acceptable.

Bidders shall not be under a declaration of ineligibility for corrupt and fraudulent practices issued by Government of Karnataka

The bidder shall quote his rates exclusive of GST but inclusive of all other applicable taxes, levies, duties and Building Workers Welfare Cess at 1%, pre-medical health checkup charges for labourers engaged, PPEs cost etc., as per the latest GoK and GoI at prevailing rates as on last date of receipt of tender.

It shall be the responsibility of the Bidder to ensure credit of Tender Processing Fee and EMD into the respective receiving bank accounts of e-Procurement on or before the last date and time of bid submission.

EMD Payments through e-Payment mode shall be made as one single transaction and payments made in part are liable for rejection.

Tender document is part and parcel of agreement.

Conditional tenders are liable for rejection.

The contractor shall follow minimum wages act and other statutory acts and its amendments.

The contractor shall quote his rates inclusive of PF as per the applicable rate as issued by the PF department from time to time and if any variation occurs it shall be paid / refunded by / to the Corporation against documentary evidence.

The tenderer shall register himself under section 7 and their worker who will be engaged for the work under section 12 of the building and other construction workers act 1996. If not the successful tenderer may do so immediately before award of work.

The successful tenderer shall give an undertaking that they would abide by the provisions of the Employees Provident Fund Act.

The tenderer shall obtain insurance coverage for all the workers deployed for this work.

KPCL shall recover the Income Tax, building workers welfare cess, at the prevailing applicable rates.

The bidder should take into account the prevailing royalty charges while quoting their rates and shall be deducted from the work bills.

The tenderer should maintain register of workers deployed and wages paid for the workers and shall produce the documents whenever called for by the competent authority. Remittance towards PF shall be commensurate with the labour component of the work involved.

Tenderer should have independent PF code. The tenderer shall remit PF of labourers to Contractors permanent PF code number only and not to the KPCL PF sub code.

In case the dates notified above declared as holiday, the immediate next working day will be reckoned.

If the tenderer makes any alterations in the conditions of the contract or puts any condition of his own, such tenders are liable for rejection.

Any variation in labour wages made by the Government from time to time shall be borne by the agency. Any claim towards this variation will not be entertained by KPCL.

In case of death of a contractor after executing the agreement/commencement of the work, his legal heir (to be intimated at the time of execution of agreement by the successful contractor), if any eligible registered contractor and willing, can execute and complete the work at the accepted tender rates irrespective of the cost of the work after obtaining approval from competent authority.

The successful tenderer shall furnish a Contract performance guarantee (CPG)/Security deposit (SD) equivalent to 5% of the contract price in the form of e-BG from any Nationalized/scheduled bank acceptable to the Corporation in the prescribed format within 20 days of receipt of acceptance letter from KPCL. The validity of e-BG should be contract period (contract period plus defect liability period) plus one month or e-BG shall be extended until the final bill passed by the division. And shall execute the agreement within scheduled time, failing which will attract penalty.

The work completion period is 04 Months (Including monsoon) and the defect liability period is 12 months.

Any reputed individual/company registered as KPWD Class-III and above contractor is eligible to apply and certificate issued in this regard shall be uploaded

The tenderer should have satisfactorily completed (at least 90% of contract value) as a prime contractor, at least one similar nature of work such as strengthening/retrofitting work of machine foundations to an extent of value not less than Rs.19.063 lakhs (Excluding GST) in any one year in the last five financial years (i.e. 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25 & 2025-26). The work done certificate issued from state / central Government / Government under taking from officers not below the rank of Executive Engineer or equivalent cadre shall be furnished. (Weightage of 10% per year will be given to the cost of completed works of previous years to bring them to the price level of present financial year).

The tenderer should have achieved in at least two financial years an average annual financial turnover of Rs.38.13 lakhs (Excluding GST) in the last five financial years (i.e. 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25 & 2025-26). Turnover certificate duly certified by the chartered accountant shall be furnished. (Weightage of 10% per year will be given to the financial turnover of previous years to bring them to the price level of present financial year).
