Milling of distress bituminous layer upto 20mm depth in a single pass with suitable milling machine (capable of milling @ 200-300 sqm area per Hr.) fitted with loading conveyor for loading the milled material directly on the trucks for safe disposal with all leads and lifts complete in all respects. Note: - The quantity of milled bituminous mix material shall be a recovery item as mention in BOQ item No. 24.

Earth work excavation in ordinary soil exclusive of compensation of earth. Kassi work undressed involving an average horizontal throw upto 2 metres, and an average vertical lift upto 0.5 metre including breaking of clods. Excavated earth may be reused on berms and disposed off surplus earth with all lead and lift including dressing complete in territorial as per direction of Engineer-in-charge will be incidental to work and nothing will be paid. Preparation of sub grade including trenching, rough dressing of spoil, final dressing of earth, to given levels and camber, watering, rolling with road roller, and compacting the bed (HSR 24.1) Note: - In widening portion sub grade will be prepared with the use of Baby roller (HSR 24.1) or width of excavation should be made sufficient wide to accommodate road roller. i) Bricks @ 4.50 each Recovery items: The rates quoted against recovery items will not be included in the total amount rather it will be deducted while calculating financial statement of the agency. Material obtained from dismantling scarifying bituminous crust layer have been calculated taking assumption that 80% of theoretical material will be retrieved. The dismantled material scarified be can issued in any of the item for the work after modification (bringing it to required specifications) on approval from the employer. In case it is not possible to use this material on the work, the agency can take away this material. This material can be taken away by the agency at the price quoted by the agency but minimum price to be quoted is limited to reserve price as fixed However the reserve price is as under:-
ii) Brick Bats @ 400 per Cum
iii) Bituminous Credit @ 1254.00 per Cum Note :- All quantities of the above materials have been worked out on the basis of theoretical quantities laid on this road. However, agency may visit site before quoting rates and assess the extent of retrieved material. There shall be no measurement after actual scarifying and if material after scarifying is found on lesser side, no claim of agency on this score will be entertained and full recovery on the basis of quoted rate and quantity exhibited in the BOQ shall be made. The reserve rates are minimum rates to be used as base for quoting purchase rate by the agency. No rates below the reserve price will be entertained and reserve price will be considered for all purposes in case the agency quotes lesser than reserve price. Note:- In case of any difference in the unit & nomenclature of any of the HSR items depicted in this DNIT and that given in HSR. the unit and nomenclature given in HSR Shall be applicable. ii) In case of any difference in the unit of any Non- schedule items depicted in this DNIT and the Conventional unit of that N.S Item as per practice in this department the conventional unit as per practice shall be applicable.
