M & L for maintenance free earthing complete in replacement of making high conductive ,corrosion resistant , CPRI approved maintenance free Chemical Earth pit of brand conforming to minimum ISO 9001-2000 certification comprising of chemical earth enhancing nonferrous compound containing no carbon or graphite filled in earth pit (Qty 50 Kg ) of bore hole of >150 m and depth upto 3.3 mtr (approx) and comprising of earth electrode of copper bonded low carbon steel core of 3 metre long, 17.2mm dia buried directly in ground and tappered at thebottom (digging or auguring of earth to the required depth as specified and directed) and filling up with carbon based earth enhancing compound in slurry form 30 Kgs bag - 1 No, provision of exothermic welded copper clamp of size 25mm x 3mm x 150mm to the electrode, copper earth strip connected etc, technically required to achieve resistance of 1 ohm along with heavy duty high density lockable plastic cover cum inspection chamber mounted on earthing electrode shall be fixed stainless steel fasteners including all other required accessories to complete the job of earth pit with earth termination to achieve rod resistance 1 ohms complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. In case of excess value of earth resistance, contractor has to make the earthing good till achieving desired value in front of Engineer-in-Charge without any extra cost.

Supply & fixing earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in heavy grade PVC conduit of approved make wherever indicated for loop earthing etc by using copper strip 32x6 mm including ceramic saddles/ bus bar insulators of suitable size as required complete all as specified and directed. Note: (i) PVC pipe shall be measured and paid separately under respective items (ii) GI clamp of suitable size for fixing PVC pipes is deemed to be included in quoted rate.

Earthing complete with GI earth plate electrode 600x 600 x 6 mm thick buried directly in ground vertically to a depth of not less than 2.25 m below ground level with the top edge not less than 1.5 m below ground level connected with GI earth wire of 4 sqmm by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers as shown in electrical plate No. 3 connected to earthing test point all as specified or indicated including testing on completion all as specified & directed . Notes:Quoted rates shall be deemed to be included the following (a) Excavation ,RFR earth work in any type of soil. (b) PCC pit in cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-1, pre cast RCC cover 40 mm thick in PCC 1:2:4 type B-1, with suitable handle reinforced with welded steel wire fabric weighing not less than 1.87 kg/sqm. (c) funnel with wire mesh , watering pipe of GI 20 mm nominal bore light grade and lugs etc. complete all as specified & directed. (d) 15 mm nominal bore medium grade GI protection pipe 7.5 meter long for protection of earthing lead complete all as specified & directed. (e) Requisite quantity of common salt and charcoal in alternative layers as specified.

Earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 60 cm x60 cm x 6 mm thick buried directly in ground ,(Earth pit not less than 2.25 meter deep below ground level) with top edge of plate not less than 1.5 meter below normal ground level ,connected to and including galvanised iron earth wire 25 X 4 mm by means of nut, bolts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron or steel and provision of charcoal dust and common salt packed all around the earth plate including necessary excavation and earth work in any type of soil and testing complete all as specified and directed and shown in electrical plate number 3 of MES SSR part-I(2009) Note: Unit rate quoted shall be deemed to be included the following (a) Excavation and earth work for drilling hole for electrode in any type of Soil. (b) PCC pit in cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-1, Pre cast RCC cover with suitable handle 40 mm thick in PCC 1:2:4 type B-1, reinforced with welded steel wire fabric weighing not less than1.87 Kg/ Sq meter. (c) Funnel with watering pipe of GI 20 mm nominal bore light grade and lugs etc complete all as specified and directed (d) 40 mm nominal bore medium grade GI protection pipe 7.5 meter long for protection of earthing lead complete all as specified and directed. (e) Requisite quantity of common salt and charcoal. (f) Testing of earthing.

Supply & fixing Earthing complete with copper earth plate electrode 60cm×60cm× 3.15mm thick buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 metres deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 metres below normal ground level, connected to 20×3mm copper strip as earthing lead, by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of brass or steel all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 connected to earthing test point all as specified or indicated including testing on completion all as specified & directed . Notes:Quoted rates shall be deemed to be included the following (a) Excavation ,RFR earth work in any type of soil. M&L for copper strip of size 20x3.15mm fixed on epoxy earth strip insulator of size 25x3.15mm including fixing screws and fasteners for fixed to wall or batten or recess or chases or burried in ground or drawn in coduit/ pipe or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc complete all as specified and directed.

M & L Earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc. as required but 25x4mm galvanised iron strip all as directed by Engr-in-charge.

M&L for 4mm dia galvanised iron or steel wire as in earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in PVC conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or DB's/Indoor type LT PBs or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc. all as specified and directed.

Supply & fixing in replacement Air termination rod, single pointed, copper rod 12mm dia and 300mm long complete all as specified & directed

Supply and fix in replacement test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size 75x75x25mm drilled and screwed including 3 nos. 8mm dia 25mm long hex. head screw all as specified and directed. Note: (i) Rate for FRP enclosure/junction box (Approved make only) of out door type of suitable dimension is included in quoted rate.
