The follwing test are required for the Job No C-1411: Provn of KLP Accn for 522 ASC Bn (PH-II of II PHS) at Meerut Cantt as per specification given below :- (a) Soil Investigation for 13 bore holes Boring holes 150 mm dia supplemented with standard penetration test at every 1.50 m interval or change of strata whichever occurs earlier upto 10 mtr depth or refusal of strata whichever occurs later and collection of undisturbed and disturbed samples at every 1 m interval. as per IS 1892:1979 and corrseponding trial bits (size 1.2 x 1.2 x 3 mtr deep) 5 mtr away from each BH (b) Laboratory test of disturbed and undisturbed soil samples :- (i) Determination of field density and moisture content. (ii) Classification, grain size distrubution, determination of index properties, Atterberg limits, particle size distribution. (iii) Consolidated test (iv) Unconfined compressive strength on attant two undisturbed samples from each BH (v) Triaxial shear test/direct shear test (vi) Presence of deleterious material/ Orgonic matter (vii) Describing sub-soil strata and preparation of bore logs. (viii) Collection and Chemical analysis test on a sub-soil sample. (ix) Collection and Chemical analysis test on a sample of water. (x) Recording the depth of Ground water table on its full stabilization in all bore holes in case of its occurance. (xi) Free swell index (xii) permeability (xiii) SPT & SPT resistance curve (xiv) Specific gravity Notes: - (a) The laboratory test of soil be carried out as per IS code 6403:1981. (b) Firm will submit his report in bounded paper in triplicate. (c) Firm will give the recommendation regarding safe bearing capacity of soil and foundation depth. (d) Factor applied for SPT N values as per IS 2131:1981 (d) Recommendation regarding possibility 0f liquifaction of soil in case of saturated/partially saturated loose/compacted sandy soil.

(b) Plate load test for 05 No bore holes Conducting Plate load test and submit the report with recommendation to obtain Modulus of Sub-grade reaction (K-vlaue) as per IS : 9214. (For rigid pavements) The measurement will be done for each plate load test and payment will include all activities i.e. test, report, materials, transportation, equipments, handling, labour etc. Nothing will be paid extra other than the quoted rate. (c) Lab CBR test for 05 No bore holes Conducting Lab CBR test to find soaked and unsoaked CBR and field CBR at 0.6mtr depth value for sub-grade as per IS: 2720 (Part 16) :1987 on samples from Each test is an average of 3 CBR test single borehole. Note : - (a) All the boreholes or Pits made during work should be refilled after completion of the particular job(s). (b) After completion of the work, agency is required to remove all tools, machineries deployed during work and required to clean the site where the work is to be executed. (c) During drilling, if any problematic strata is encountered, more number of tests will have to be conducted in consultation with Engr-in-Charge. (d) The working hrs will be 0900 hrs to 1700 hrs (e) All T&P items and site expenses such as comping transportation etc should be deemed to be included in the quoted rates. (f) Site plan duly marked with location of bore hole is required (g) Colour photograph of every bore holes is required in soil testing report Auth: HQ CEBZ Bareilly letter No.824318/MRT/301/E2 (Plg) dt 13 Oct 2021. and GE (P) No2 letter No. 2194/313/E2 dt 18 Oct 2021.
