Good Earth with Farm Yard Manure Mixer- Supplying of good earth/ soil-less media and/ or organic matter, preparation of top dressing mixture or pot media. Screening farm yard manure through sieve of I.S. designation 16 mm and mixing with good earth in ratio of 1:1.

PROVIDING AND PLANTING OF SPECIMEN PLANTS:- Providing healthy sapling of trees of minimum height 6 feet and acceptable to the EIC. Digging of pits of a size 75cm x 75cm x 75cm refilling of excavated earth after mixing with 2 Kg Neem cake 0.34 Cum earth and 02 (two) Cft well rotten farm yard manure . Planting of plants including digging holes and fixing the earth ball in position and making raised edge around the pit. Watering the plants through tractor tanker @ 40 litres per plant before and after planting the Tree. Plants will be protected from white ants with insecticides (Chlorpyriphos) @ 50ml per plant. Trees will be protected and safe guarded from storm with support of bamboo sticks. The care and nurture of sapling should be done by the contractor as per the satisfaction of EIC.

Providing & planting of trees SUPPLYING AND PLANTING PERMANENT TREES IN PREPARED PITS AND WATERING. Supplying and planting permenent trees having minimum height of 1.8 m and minimum caliper of 2.5 cm in prepeared pits and watering. Supplying & planting of healthy permanent tree plants with khurpa, fixing the earth ball position and making raised edge around the pit after planting and watering the plant @20 litre/plant before and after planting, complete in all respect by the contractor as per the satisfaction and direction of EIC. Quality characteristics of trees: - Tree Trunk: - Tree trunks shall be straight and well tapered. Trees with multiple leaders, unless specified, shall be rejected. Damaged, cut or crooked leaders; included bark, bark abrasions, sunscald, disfiguring knots, mold, and prematurely opened buds or cut limbs over three-quarter inch (3/4”) diameter that are not completely callused shall be rejected. The minimum acceptable size of trees after pruning, with branches in normal positions, shall be a minimum height of 1.8 m and minimum caliper of 2.5 cm. Caliper measurement shall be taken at a point on the trunk 15 cm above root flare. All trees shall have terminal shoots and reasonably well-developed crown. Trees of same species shall have uniform height, structure, and spread.

Providing and planting of Hedge :- Planting permanent hedges including digging of trenches 60cm. wide and 30cm. deep, refilling the excavated earth mixed with manure supplied @ of 4.65 cum per 100 m & Supplying & planting hedge plants at 30cm. apart.

Pruning, trimming, shaping of mature trees /shrubs (ht 15 feet and above) including removal of cut materials up to 50m lead.

MAINTENANCE OF TREES FOR 3 YEARS

Maintenance of tree including fertilization, application of insecticide, watering, weeding, training, pruning, disposal of debris and other activities. During this maintenance period all the required operations will be done as per yearly maintenance schedule given here under:-

1. Irrigations 27 Nos. @ 4 irrigations each in the month of April, May & June at 7 day interval, 2 irrigations in the month of February, March, September, October, November and December and one each in the month of July, August and January or as per requirement to the seasonal variations. Each irrigation should be of 20 Ltrs. water per plant per irrigation. However the numbers of irrigations can be increased or decreased as per the requirement at site or as per the satisfaction of EIC.

2. Hoeing and preparation of dowels 15 Nos. in a year @ 2 hoeing each in the month of July, august, September and one in remaining nine months or as per seasonal requirement. 9” high earthen dowels should also be made all around the pit after each hoeing to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge. However the numbers of hoeing can be increased as per the requirement and as per the entire satisfaction of EIC.

3. Application of urea in the month February or July having 80 gm urea per plant per time , and dosage of DAP 40 gm per plant in April or as per requirement at site and entire satisfaction of EIC.

4. Application of 30 ml. of Chlorpyriphos for protection against white ants twice in the year or as per requirement and entire satisfaction of EIC.

5. Manuring with 0.0508 Cum well rotten farm yard manure per plant will be applied in the month of December or as per requirement at site and satisfaction of EIC.

6. The watch & ward of plant & tree guard should be done by the contractor. The training of plants carries out as single stem according to the shape/size of specific plant.

7. The replacement of casualties if any will be done by the contractor complete in all respects as per specifications and instructions of EIC.

(i) Maintenance of trees (Age 1st year) for 1st year. Trees with initial height of 1.8 meters

(ii) Maintenance of trees (Age 2nd year) for 2nd year. Trees with initial height of 1.8 meters

(iii) Maintenance of trees (Age 3rd year) for 3rd year. Trees with initial height of 1.8 meters

MAINTENANCE OF INDIVIDUAL SHRUBS FOR 3 YEARS

Maintenance of shrubs for one year including training, pruning, fertilization, application of insecticide, watering and weeding. During this maintenance period all the required operations will be done as per yearly maintenance schedule given here under:-

2. Hoeing 15 Nos. in a year @ 2 hoeing each in the month of July, August & September and one hoeing each in the remaining nine month or as per seasonal requirement to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge. However the numbers of hoeing can be increased as per the requirement and as per the entire satisfaction of EIC.

3. Application of urea in the month of February or July having 40 gm urea per Sqm and dosage of DAP @ 10 gm per Sqm in April or as per requirement at site and entire satisfaction of EIC.

4. Application of manuring with well rotten farm yard manure with 0.06 cum per sqm in the month of December or as per requirement at site and satisfaction of EIC.

5. Replacement of causalities as and when required.

2. Application of urea in the month of February or July having 30 gm urea per Sqm. per time and dosage of DAP 20 gm per plant per time as per requirement at site and entire satisfaction of EIC.

3. Application of 10 ml. of Chlorpyriphos per Sqm for protection against white ants twice in the year or as per requirement and entire satisfaction of EIC.

4. 15 no. mowing of lawn with power lawn mower @ two mowing each in the months of July, Aug. & Sept. & 1 mowing each in the remaining 9 months.

5. Repair and patch work of grass as per site requirement and entire satisfaction of EIC.

MAINTENANCE OF Seasonal flower beds. MAINTENANCE OF Seasonal flower beds including digging of beds to 15cm depth mixing FYM, fertilizer and insecticides, planting of sapling at 20cm distance from plant to plant and row to row, three times a year. Annual maintenance: Summer, rainy and winter flowering seasonal seedlings shall be planted as directed by the Engineer- in-charge. The plants shall be watered regularly at frequency to be decided by Engineer-in-charge depending on season, plant species and soil conditions. Well rotten F.Y.M. shall be applied @ 0.508 cum per 10 sqm to winter annuals. DAP @ 20 gm per sqm shall be applied to the Summer and Winter season annuals. Urea shall be applied @ 0.4 kg per 10 sqm in three to four splits depending on soil type. Chlorpyriphos @ 0.1 liter per 10 sqm shall be applied during April-May and Sept-Oct to safeguard against termites. Broad spectrum fungicide @ 2 gm/ liter of water shall be sprayed at least once in every season to protect plants from diseases. Constant watch shall be maintained to ensure that dead plants are replaced and weeds are removed. Hoeing/Weeding shall be done 15 times a year, twice a month in July, August and September and once a month in remaining months of the year.

The plants shall be pinched one month after planting to encourage lateral growth. Withered flower heads shall be continuously removed during flowering time. The dead plants shall be replaced with plants of same species. Measurement: Length and breadth of the bed shall be measured correct to 0.1 m and the area shall be calculated in square meter correct to two places of decimal. Rate: The rate shall include the cost of labour and material involved in all the operations described above. All the above operations shall be done as per the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge.
