ADDITION/ ALTERATION AND REPLACEMENT OF ALL GLASS WINDOWS WITH UPVC WINDOWS OF MCPO CPOs BUILDINGS P-08 P-09 AT KADAMBA VANAM NAVAL BASE AREA KARWAR

Taking down chowkats or frames exceeding 1.5 sqm but not exceeding 4.0 sqm each, with shutters (without taking off shutters from the frames), including making good the disturbed portions to match the adjoining surfaces, complete all as specified and as directed.

All as per Item No. 1 above, but not exceeding 1.5 sqm each, complete all as specified and as directed.

Providing and fixing factory-made uPVC white colour sliding window, three-track, area exceeding 2.00 sqm each, made of extruded profiles with wall thickness of 2.3 mm (±0.2 mm). Window profile with hollow multi-chamber sections. Frame (88 mm x 52 mm), sliding sash (42 mm x 67 mm), sliding mesh sash (42 mm x 57 mm), sliding interlock (one vertical length in each shutter) (45.5 mm x 28 mm), glazing bead (24.5 mm x 16 mm), mitred cut and fusion welded at all corners, including drilling of holes for fixing hardware and drainage of water, etc., and making arrangements for fixing of hardware. EPDM gasket, 1.2 mm (±0.2 mm) thick galvanised steel reinforcement: frame (30 mm x 18 mm) – 2 Nos, sliding sash (30 mm x 18 mm), sliding mesh sash (26 mm x 10 mm), profile to be inserted in required sections. Frame fixed to wall with 8 mm x 100 mm long fasteners. Hardware comprising touch lock of zinc alloy (white powder coated), steel roller system, stainless steel wire cloth of 0.36 mm nominal dia of wire and average aperture width of 1.40 mm, and all other required accessories, complete all as specified and as directed. (Note: The unit rate quoted by the contractor excludes cost of glass but includes all other connected accessories. Net opening shall be measured for payment.)

S&F 4.0 mm thick sheet glass, ordinary quality, and glazing with oil putty in squares not exceeding 0.5 sqm in each pane, fixed to uPVC windows/ventilators, complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F anodised aluminium grill (anodised transparent or dyed to required shade according to IS 1868 with minimum anodic coating of Grade AC 15) of approved design/pattern, with approved standard sections, fixed to existing frame with CP brass/stainless steel screws at 200 mm centre to centre, including cutting the grill to proper opening size for fixing and operation of handles, and fixing approved anodised aluminium standard sections around the opening, complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for rendering 10 mm thick in cement mortar (1:6) on fair faces of brickwork or concrete surfaces and finished even and smooth without using extra cement, including necessary scaffolding and safety measures, complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for preparation of new plastered/ decorated wall surfaces, including applying a coat of 1 mm thick wall care putty on new surface and applying two coat of acrylic washable distemper using mechanical spray (maximum working pressure of 3300 PSI) over a coat of alkaline resistant primer including necessary scaffolding and safety measures as required, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
