EARTHWORK IN EXCAVATION

Earthwork in excavation for foundation trenches of walls, retaining walls, footings of column, steps, septic tank etc. including refilling (return filling) the quantity as necessary after completion of work, breaking clods in return filling, dressing, watering and ramming etc. and removal of surplus earth with all lead and lifts as directed and specified in the following classification of soils including bailing out water where necessary as directed and specified.

Extra lead per km truck carriage for sand gravel beyond the initial lead of 8 km.

PILING WORKS

Providing cast in-situ machine driven reinforced cement concrete piles of required bore-diameter, bulb diameter, lengths and with reinforcement as per specifications and drawings including using of Bentonite solution. (Reinforcement to be measured and paid seperately as per item no. 21.4.1) (II) Concrete Grade M25

Supplying and planting of ornamental trees (1'-0" height sapling) including pit making ( 60 cm x 60 cm x 60 cm ), filling the pit with appropriate soil media, manure and fertilizers as per specification and necessary maintenance for a period of one year from the date of planting complete as specified and directed . MASONRY WORKS

1st class brick nogged wall in cement mortar including racking out joints and curing complete as directed in super structure above plinth up to 1st floor level (protruding M.S rod/Tor steel of column to be embeded in cement mortar and will be measured and paid separately) (A) 112mm thick brick wall (a) In cement mortar in proportion 1:4. (1 cement:4 sand)

TILES WORKS: VITRIFIED TILES

B)ON WALLS Providing polished vitrified wall tiles of approved quality, size, shape and thickness not less than 8mm on walls and skirtings over cement mortar bed 10 mm thick in prop. 1:3 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand ) including cutting where necessary finished with flush pointing with Fix-A-Tile (Choksey/Sika/Pedelite/Rouf)/white cement slurry mixed with approved pigment to match shade of tilesc complete at all levels as specified and directed. (coloured pigment should be in conformity with colour of tiles and as approved and directed by the department).

A) ON FLOOR Providing VITRIFIED floor tiles of approved quality of specified size, shape and thickness not less than 18mm on floors, skirtings, risers and treads of steps over 15 mm thick base of cement mortar in prop. 1:3 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand ) including cutting where necessary finished with flush pointing with Fix-A-Tile (Choksey/Sika/Pedelite/Rouf) / white cement slurry mixed with approved pigment to match shade of tiles, mixed with approved pigment to match the shade of the tiles, complete at all levels as specified and directed. (Coloured pigment should be in conformity with colour of tiles and as approved and directed by the Department) i) Of size 400mmx400mm and above

Cement concrete works in topping 1:1:2 (1cement :1sand :2 graded aggregates on R.C.C floor, tread and rise of steps finished with a floating coat of neat cement using cement slurry for bond @ 2.75 kg.of cement per sq. m. of floor to be laid in panels including curing complete as directed. (b) 20 mm thick

65 mm thick cement concrete floor consisting of 50 mm under layer of cement concrete in prop. 1:3:6 (1cement : 3 coarse sand : 6 coarse aggregate of 25mm and down) and 15 mm thick wearing layer in cement concrete in prop. 1:1:2 (1cement :1 coarse sand : 2 coarse aggregate of size 10mm down) laid in panels and finished with a floating coat of neat cement finish (using cement slurry for bond @ 2.75 kg. per square metre of floor area) including curing etc. complete as directed.

Providing and laying 50mm thick C.C. floor with metallic concrete hardener topping under layer of 35 mm thick cement concrete in prop.1:2:4 (1cement : 2 coarse sand : 4 coarse aggregate of 20 mm and down) and top layer of 15mm thick of metallic cement hardener consisting of mix 1:2 (1 cement hardener mix : 2 stone aggregate 6 mm and down) by volume with which metallic hardening compound of approved quality is mixed in the ratio of 4:1 (4 parts of cement : 1 part of metallic floor hardening compound of approved quality by weight) including finishing with curing complete as directed.

Cement plaster skirting with cement mortar in prop. 1:3 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand) finished with a floating coat of neat cement including rounding of junctions with floor. (a) 15 mm thick, Under ground

40 mm thick cement concrete floor consisting of 25 mm under layer of cement concrete in prop. 1:3:6 (1cement : 3 coarse sand : 6 coarse aggregate of 12.5 mm and down) and 15 mm thick wearing layer in cement concrete in prop. 1:1:2 (1cement :1 coarse sand : 2 coarse aggregate of size 10mm down) finished with a floating coat of neat cement finish using cement slurry for bond @ 2.75 kg. per square metre of floor area , wearing layer is to be laid in panels including curing etc. complete as directed.

GRANITE FLOORING: Providing polished granite tiles of approved quality, size and shape and thickness not less than 8mm, on walls over 15mm thick, cement mortar bed in prop. 1:3 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand) including cutting where necessary, finished with flush pointing on wall with ordinary cement slurry mixed with approved pigment to match shade of tiles, complete at all levels as specified and directed.

WOOD WORKS

Providing wood work in frame (chowkaths) of doors, windows, clerestory windows and other similar works wrought, framed and fixed in position in contact with C.C or brick masonry wall including supplying, fitting and fixing with M.S. hold fast (40mmx3mmx250mm) as per design embeded in cement concrete block in proportion 1:2:4 and with two coats of kiricide oiling to the timber faces in contact with C.C and masonry as directed and specified. (a) With sal wood

Providing, fitting and fixing factory made wooden panelled doors with panel inserts of 75mm to 50mm width and 12mm to 20mm thickness,joined together with continous tongue and groove joints glued together with Movicol or other approved adhesive leaving a vertical groove of 7.5mm to 15mm between the inserts,the edges of panel inserts being feather tongue into styles and rails including providing three pairs of oxidised M.S butt hinges (100mm x75 mm x3.55mm) and furnishing with moulded timber beading of size 25mmx15mm around the panels complete as per drawing (moulded timber bead and all fittings except hinges to be paid separately) a) With Teak wood / Sissu wood.

WINDOWS AND VENTILATORS : Providing, fitting and fixing anodised aluminium windows and ventilators of standard sections of approved brand without horizontal glazing bars joints mitred and welded (manufactured to relevant IS specifications) fitted with 6mm x 3.15mm lugs 100mm long embedded in CC blocks 150mm x 100mm x 100mm in 1:3:6 mix including providing and fixing handles, frictions stays, joining cleat, bolting device, locking arrangement, spring catch as required complete as specified and directed for all levels. GLASS FITTING:Providing and fixing clear sheet glass beded in putty and fixed with/without wooden bidding including necessary cutting and glass to be required sized(payment for wooden bead shall be made separately) (1). Area of glass panes not exceeding 0.15m2 (a). 3.00mm thick.

Providing, fitting and fixing steel windows of standard rolled steel sections as per relevant I.S. Code, joints mitred and welded with 15mmx13mmx100mm lugs embedded in cement concrete block of M-10 grade including providing and fixing of projecting hinges (not more than 65mm and not less than 15mm wide) bolting device, steel handles, pegs, stays of 300mm long etc. complete including providing 12mmx12mm sq. bars duly welded to steel frame at not more than 12cm c/c applying a priming coat of red-lead paint etc. complete as per drawing. a) Openable

Ceiling with Exposed Metal (G.I.) Frame work with E-Grid - 2430 :: Providing and fixing, in position suspended false ceiling using E-Grid (exposed ceiling suspension 2430 system) of grid size 600mm x 600mm/1200mmx600mm with main runner 38 x 24mm, cross tee 29mm x 24mm & wall angle 24mm x 24mm . Using 4mm/6mm thick High Pressure Steam Cured Non Asbestos Fibre Cement Board as per IS 14862, to be placed in a grid of G.I. system duly suspended with 4mm/6mm dia G.I/M.S bar hanger fixed with steel dash fasteners or iron purlin from the roof with adjustment clip providing positions for light fixtures, air conditioning diffuser and ducts, sprinklers, smoke detectors etc. The main runners to be secured to structural soffit by hanger @ 1220mm maximum c/c. The last hanger at the end of each main runner should not be placed at more than 450mm from the adjacent wall. Flush fitting 1220mm cross tee to be interlocked between main runners @ 610mm c/c, so as to form 600mm x 600mm/1200mmx600mm grid, all complete as per the drawing & directions of engineer-in-charge. Finally, if specified, are to be painted with 2 coats of acrylic emulsion paint of approved shade/make over a coat of cement primer before installing it on the grid.

Raising low site around the building with approved soil obtained from outside by truck carriage including breaking clods, dressing etc. complete including paying necessary forest royelty, sales tax, land compensation, municipal gate fees, if any monopoly duty etc. (profile measurement to be taken and 12.5% deduction for shrinkage to be made from total quantity) etc. complete as directed and specified.

PLAIN CEMENT CONCRETE WORKS

Plain cement concrete works with coarse aggregate of sizes 13mm to 32mm in foundation bed for footing steps, walls, brick works etc. as directed and specified including dewatering if necessary, and curing complete (shuttering where necessary shall be measured and paid separately).

Plain cement concrete floor base in prop1:3:6 laid in alternate bays as specified with coarse agg. of size 13mm to 32mm including dewatering if necessary, and curing etc. complete.

Steel work riveted and/ or bolted/ riveted in built up sections, frame work including cutting, hoisting, fixing in position and applying a priming coat of red- lead paint up to 4.6m height above plinth including drilling holes, supplying, fitting and fixing with bolts and nuts or welding, if necessary as directed. b) In single stanchions (columns) composed of R.S.J. or channels with caps, bases, splices, angle brackets etc.

Structural steel work in sigle sections including cutting, hoisting, fixing in position and applying a priming coat of red lead paint (up to 4.6m height) from plinth level including drilling holes, supplying, fitting and fixing with bolts and nuts or welding, if necessary as directed. a) In beams and joists fitted independently without connecting plates.

Providing, fitting and fixing powder coated pressed steel door frame made of 1.25mm/ 1.6mm thick sheet of various sizes with necessary hinge jamb, lock jamb, head and steel base ties at the bottom of the frame. The whole frame shall be welded or rigidly fixed together by mechanical means with base ties of pressed mild steel angle of size 20x20x1.25mm thick. Frame to be filled up with 1:4:8 P.C.C. after fitting the frame with brick/ concrete works etc.complete as directed by the department for all levels. (P.C.C. to be measured and paid for seperately). PAINTING ON WOOD AND WOOD BASED SURFACES

Applying priming coat over new wood and wood based surfaces over 100mm in girth/width after and including preparing the surface by throughly cleaning oil, grease, dirt snd other foreign matter , sand papering and knotting. (b). With ready mixed paint , wood primer (white).
