Repairs and Maint of LT Feeder pillar Boxes , replacing the unserviceable door hinges, locks , cutting the burnt portion of cable / lugs and crimping with new lugs of suitable size and connecting . Painting the Feeder Pillar Box with approved colour and all as shown and directed.

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5 m in wide and not exceeding 1.5m in depth for laying of cables / stay assembly / pipe lines and getting out in the any type of soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Ditto all as per item above, but depth exc 1.5 m and n.exc 3 m complete all as specified and as directed.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cms complete all as specified and as directed.

Removing excavated soil to a distance not exceeding 50m and depositing where directed at a level not exc. 1.5m above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and spreading clean, fine, dry river sand in trenches for cushioning of under ground cable / inside transformer yard complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: Only punned thickness shall be measured for payment purpose.

Supply and lay common burnt clay building bricks sub class 'B' of designation 75 laid in trenches as protection to cables complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Road cutting / hard standing for taking up or laying of LT UG cable upto a depth of 15 cm, after laying of cable, well ramming to the excavated soil and repair the exvcavated portion of road as existing or by providing suitable mixture of PCC all as specified and as directed.

M&L for new galvanized steel tubing, light grade, with all fittings for protection of cable complete all as specified and as directed of the following sizes :-

M&L for Chemical Earthing complete with copper earth plate of size 900mm x 600mm x 5mm thick burried in ground vertically to a deapth not less than 5 meter below normal ground level with top edge of plate at a depth not less than 4.25 meter below normal ground level with a bottom layer MG SO4 of 150 mm thick, earth plate surrounded with graphite powder, vegetable soil mxture mixed with bentonite in equal proportion, charcoal and common salt in equal proportion around and 150 mm above the plate and 150 mm thick MG SO4 as top layer and the remaining portion filled with compacted black cotton/ loomy soil and connected with copper strip 32mm x 6mm duly brazed and by means of bolts, nut and washers up to 7.5 meter length and connected to earthing test point, GI pipe light grade 40 mm bore for earth lead protection and GI pipe medium grade 20 mm bore for watering with funnel and wire mesh all as shown in electrical plate No-3 of MES SSR part-I 2009 and specified and testing on completion

(iii) Earthing is to be done in front of the Engineer-in-charge (iv) Test result of earthing to be submitted by the contractor for all earthing pits. (v) The contractor shall give guarantee for maintenance earth resistance of less than 1 ohm for a period of 05 (Five) years after certified date of completion and shall deposit security deposit of Rs 2000/- per earthing pit for a period of five years. (vi) Failing to maintain earthing pit result less than 1 Ohm, New earthing pit to be provided by the contractor with out any extra cost. (vii) Necessary earth work excavation in any type of strata, returning filling and making good the surrounding area complete.

Supply and fix or lay in trenches/ wall aluminium copper strip of size 25 mm x 3 mm as earth continuity conductor drawn through rigid non metallic PVC conduit of size 32 mm dia bore and accessories for protection of earthing strip complete all as specified and as directed. Note: Conduit pipe shall me measured and paid seperately under relevant items.

M&L for brass nut, bolts and washers for jointing of copper strip 25 x 3 mm complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for Porcelain insulator with complete fixing arrangement fixing on wall to protect earthing strip complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in-charge.

Test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size 75x75x25mm drilled and screwed including 3 nos. 8mm dia 25mm long hex. head screw.

Supply, installing, testing and commissioning of CPRI approved LT distribution panel board Factory Made, cubical, out door type, powder coated with fabricated 3.15 mm thick skelton with angle iron / flat iron frame work , bus Bar chamber,front openable hinged door with locking arrangement and common openable hinged door from rear side, floor mouting type, IP-65 protection and as per IS, comprising the following accessories ,including connecting with the incoming / out going feeders by providing cable glands and cable lugs complete, all as specified and directed.

M&L earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 60cmx 60cm x6mm thick burried directly in ground ( earth pit not less than 2.25 mtr below normal ground level ) with top edge of the earth plate not less then 1.5 mtr deep below normal ground level connected to and including galvanised iron strip 25x4 mm as earthing le by means of bolts nuts check nuts and washers of steel after welding of GI tubing light grade protection pipe upto test point. 20 mm dia GI watering pipe with funnel and wire mesh ,PCC pit 1:3:6 with pit cover of size 40mm x 40mm x 4mm ,adquite qty of charcoal dust and salt layers all around the earth plate , removal of surplus soil and returining filling in all as required at site including test point made out of steel plate of Size 75x75x6mm fixed to wall or pole all as specified in plate No 3 of SSR Part-I and directed by Engr- in- Charge.

Notes: On testing after completion of earthing, if desired earth resistance is not obtained, the earthing will be re-done by the contractor at his own risk & cost to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge.
