Annual maintenance contract for Fire Alarm Systems and Fire Fighting Systems at various places at IIT Madras for the year 2025-26

Fire Alarm Sytem Maintenance

Charges for routine checking and rectification of general faults in fire alarm system in the campus as per the list including replacement, cleaning and making them in good working condition and as per the terms & condition vide annexure.The routine daily,fortnightly,monthly quarterly, yearly check up and rectification of defects replacement of accessories should be carried by posting 1 sets of technicians- 1 set consists of 1 Fire Alarm Technician & 1 helper. The weekly report about the activities should be sumitted in the specific format.

Supply of following fire alarm devices as replacement of defective one.

Addressable Multisensor smoke/Heat detectors compatible with the existing Bosch/Morley IAS/Siemens or equivalent make FACP

Addressable Hooters compatible with the existing Bosch/Morley IAS/Siemens or equivalent make FACP

Addressable Hooters with strobe compatible with the existing Bosch/Morley IAS/Siemens or equivalent make FACP

Addressable MACP compatible with the existing Bosch/Morley IAS/Siemens or equivalent make FACP

Response indicator compatible with the existing Bosch/Morley IAS/Siemens or equivalent make FACP

Addressable fire control module compatible with the existingBosch/Morley IAS/Siemens or equivalent make FACP

Addressable fire short circuit module complete as require for Bosch/Morley IAS/Siemens or equivalent make FACP

Supply and clamping of 2 x 1.5 sq.mm FRLS copper conductor shielded armoured UG cable on wall/ceiling to connect the detectors,MACP and hooters as required.

Fire Hydrant Sytem Maintenance

Charges for routine checking and rectification of general faults in fire hydrant system in the campus as per the list including replacement, cleaning and making them in good working condition and as per the terms & condition vide annexure.The routine daily,fortnightly,monthly quarterly, yearly check up and rectification of defects replacement of accessories should be carried by posting 1 sets of technicians- 1 set consists of 1 Fire Technician & 1 helper. The weekly report about the activities should be sumitted in the specific format.

Earth work excavation over areas(not exceeeding 1.5 m in width or 10 sqm on plan) including dressing of sides and ramming of bottom lift upto 1.5 m including getting out the excavated soil and disposal of surplus excavated soil as directed within lead of 50m in all kinds of soil.

Charges for painting of existing 150/100/80mm dia MS Fire hydrant pipe on the ground level/open terrance level/Inside vertical risers using the RED rubberised paint(MRF) after scrapping the surface.

Charges for repairing the hydrant pipes of various sizes including arresting the leak using all required tools such welding machines, rods etc as required.The charges should be considered per job that means arresting the leak by welding hydrant pipes by joining the pipes on both sides bu connecting the bit pipe but excluding the cost of bit pipes. In case only one welding without joining the pipes, the job will be considered as 0.5 times only

Supplying of wrapping & coating over the fire hydrant pipes after the cold settings as required.

Supplying & replacement of following fire hydrant accessories as required.

Reconditioning of Mono block Jockey pump of Fire hydrant system in various locations of following rating including using PVC double coated copper wire & necessary insulation materials.The charges inclusive of replacement of long brass bushes/Thrust bearings,rubber oil seal, stud/bolt/nuts, lock nut, packing, gascut, O ring, shaft reconditioning or replacement,any lathe work for unremovable bolts. The charges inclusive of complete pump side dismantling, impeller & body cleaning, reassembling, painting & testing and replacement of HI-Bolt, new main cable with core rubber and Transportation. The warrantee of the reconditioning shall be at least 6 months.In case of failure of pump within 6 months, the vendor is responsible for reconditioning the same at free of cost. The list of pumps and its model number is herewith attached to access the cost of repair.

Service of 75 to 95 BHP Kirloskar make Diesel Engine for fire fighting system installed in various locations of Fire Sump including supply and replacement of required quantity of oil filters, Fuel filters, Air filters, Coolant and Lube oil as required at least once in a year. It is the responsibility of tenderer to dispose of the above spares from the campus on the same day of the servicing.

Supplying and fixing of MS frame work of required size and dimention to suit to replace the existing pump bed with one coat of red oxide/zinc coated primer and 2 coats of enamel paint as required.
