Carrying out Water Proofing works in Residential and Non Residential buildings at PDPM area in DAE Township at Kalpakkam during the year 2024 - 2025

Providing and laying following water proofing treatment system comprising of bond coat, top screed concrete including preparation of surface by chipping/dismantling the existing loose surfaces/ roof tiles with bed mortar, cleaning the surface by washing throughout, filling the cracks using approved crack fillers, injection/ grouting the cracks where ever required with cement slurry using suitable water proofing admixtures, applying bond coat, finishing the top with 20mm thick IPS flooring with water proofing admixtures, leak test, curing, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note:- i) Cost of dismantling the existing tiles and bed concrete, grouting the cracks if any required will be paid separately under relevant item. ii) This treatment should be done by an agency specialized in the job having sufficient knowledge of waterproofing treatment, authorized trained applicator should be used and certificate should be submitted before commence the work.

iii) Aluminium mobile tower scaffolding having double width platform with stairway as directed by EIC shall be provided by the contractor to access the working area during execution of work wherever the work being executed at inaccessible terrace at a height of upto 11m. iv) Five years guarantee from the date of completion of maintenance period shall be given by the contractor in the prescribed format of the department for the workmanship and the materials provided. v) 50% (Fifty percent) of security deposit will be retained as performance security for the guarantee period and the same will be released after successful completion of the guarantee period i.e., after five years to be reckoned from the date after the maintenance period prescribed in the contract. Providing and laying following water proofing treatment system including preparation of surface by cleaning the surface by washing thoroughly by mechanical and manual means, making surface free from dirt/oil/other materials, removal of loose/ cracked mortar joints of weathering tiles, filling the cracks using approved crack fillers, filling/injection/ grouting the cracks/joints where ever required with polymer modified cement mortar using admixtures, loose tiles shall be fixed firmly, applying bond coat, applying second coat of two component highly flexible cementious water proofing coat, applying third and fourth coat of high performance acrylic elastomeric coating, leak test, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note:- i) Cost for fixing new tiles if any required will be paid for separately under relevant item. ii) Cost for grouting the cracks if any required will be paid for separately under relevant item.

Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side at all height made with 40mm diameter M.S. tube spaced @ 1.5m center to center at both horizontal and vertical tubes, joining with cup and lock system with M.S.tube, M.S.tube challies, M.S clamps and M.S staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc., and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for the required duration as approved and removing it thereafter. The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners connection with the building, etc., Wherever required for the inspection of work at required location with essential safety features for the workmen, etc., complete as per directions and approval of Engineer-in-charge. (Note: The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose. The payment will be made once irrespective of duration of scaffolding.)

Repairs to internal/ external plastering over brick work/ concrete at all locations and all lifts using Polymer modified cement repair mortar including preparing the surface by hacking the surface for better adhesion, providing glass fibre mesh or chicken reinforcement, if any required, applying bond coat, filling/plastering with polymer modified repair mortar in layers using approved polymers, curing, cleaning of floor/windows thoroughly on completion of repair work, scaffolding etc., all complete as detailed below as per manufacturer specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. a) Surface Preparation: Preparing the wall surface by chipping of unsound/ weak /loose plaster surface mortar with manual Chisel and/ or by mechanical means at all lifts including cutting/trimming of edges to provide firm vertical faces, making square shoulders of cavities, cleaning the exposed surface to make surface dust free, disposal of debris within 2 Km lead. b) Bond Coat: Applying SBR based bond coat of make MC Bauchemie (Naufufill-SBR) or FOSROC (Nitobond SBR) or FAB Chemical (Mixbond SBR) or Bostik (Boscocem 475) or Ultratech (Xtracrete). Mixing ratio of chemicals, consumption and application shall be as per manufacturer specifications. c) Application of repair mortar: Building up with polymer modified cement repair mortar of ratio 1:4 (1 part of cement : 4 parts of sand) and adding admixtures in recommended proportion of make MC Bauchemie (Naufufill-SBR) or FOSROC (Nitobond SBR) or FAB Chemical (Mixbond SBR) or Bostik (Boscocem 475) or Ultratech (Xtracrete). Mixing ratio of chemicals, consumption and application shall be as per manufacturer specifications (minimum 2% by wt. of cement shall be used).

12mm average thickness - Plain plaster

Providing and laying APP (Atactic Polypropylene Polymer) modified prefabricated five layers of 4mm thick water proofing membrane, black finished reinforced with non ­ woven polyester matt of make SIKA or STP or Asian paints with centre core non ­ woven polyester reinforcement and finished on both sides with a thermo fusible film over a coat of bitumen primer including preparing the surface so that the surface receiving membrane shall be dry, clean and free from loose materials, providing 90-100mm width of overlap with adjacent layers, sealing the joints thoroughly, raising the treatment area upto parapet wall or grooves shall be cut into the wall and membrane tucked into the groove and the groove shall be plastered with CM 1:4, etc., all complete as per specification and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: - i) The laying of membrane shall be done through the agency specialized in the job having sufficient knowledge authorised by the membrane manufacturer. ii) The rate shall be applicable for providing bituminous water proofing membrane over all type of surface viz., flat roof, sloped roof, gutter portion etc., iii) Five years guarantee from the date of completion of maintenance period shall be given by the contractor in the prescribed format of the department for the workmanship and the materials provided.

Supplying and fixing in position of Alkali resistance Glass fibre mesh (4-5mm square aperture with 145 gsm) over the joints of RCC and Brick work with cement paste before plastering as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Painting the APP membrane top surface with two coat of Aluminium paint of make ‘Asian (3 Mangoes)’ or other approved make including cleaning the surface free from dust/oil, surface preparation, painting two coats of aluminium paint, etc., all complete as per manufacturer specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Painting with flexible polymer modified cement based anti-dampness coating for interiors using Asian Paints Damp Block or other approved equivalent make including preparation of affected surface, removing old paint / putty using wire brush / chisel to expose cement plaster, apply self priming coat of damp block (1:1 ratio diluted in water) and apply 2 coats of damp block (diluted with water in 3 part powder : 1 part water ratio) using a putty knife or a trowel to achieve total coverage of 7.5 sqft/ kg, finishing the surface smooth, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer.

White/Colour washing One Coat of lime solution using shell lime of approved quality admixed with glue, ultra marine etc., on existing surfaces of walls and ceiling at all lifts including cost of all materials, labour, scaffolding, removing nails, brooming down the surfaces for removing cobwebs, smoke dirt etc., filling the holes, cracks, crevices with Snowfilla or other suitable filler materials, covering the furniture by suitable covering materials, cleaning/removal of white washing splashing and dropping from floors, doors & windows, electrical fixtures, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Providing following for over rough cast/plain plaster with One coat of premium exterior emulsion paint of make Asian (APEX - Dust proof) or other approved equivalent make of approved shade or match with existing shade over the coat of Highly flexible cementious two component coat water proofing treatment system over the coat of bond coat including making surface free from dirt/oil/other materials by scrapping the surface, removal of loose/ cracked mortar, filling the cracks using approved crack fillers, filling/injection/ grouting the cracks/joints where ever required with polymer modified cement mortar using admixtures, scaffolding, etc., all complete as detailed below as per manufacturer specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. i) Surface preparation: Remove the existing coatings, paints, etc., Seal the surface cracks by cutting 'V' shaped grooves and filling with crack & using seal compound. Clean the surface thoroughly to remove the dirt's and contaminates and keep dry prior to the primer application, debonded or weak plaster must be replaced with polymer modified mortar. ii) Bond Coat (1st Coat) : Applying Base primer bond coat with of make FAB chemical (MIXBond AC) or Bostik (Boscocem 476) over the existing surface. Mixing ratio consumption and application procedure shall be as per manufacturer specifications. iii) Highly flexible cementious water proofing coat (2nd & 3rd Coat): Applying 2 component waterproofing coating of make FAB Chemical (Mixguard AC) or Bostik (Boscolastic). Duration between these two coats shall be minimum 4 hrs. Mixing ratio of chemicals, consumption and application procedure shall be as per manufacturer specifications. Painting over all exposed surfaces at all heights over rough cast/plain plaster.

iv) One coat of external wall primer (3rd coat): Applying one coat of external wall primer of make Asian or other approved equivalent, consumption and application procedure shall be as per manufacturer specifications. v) One coat of premium exterior emulsion paint (4th coat): Applying one coat of premium exterior emulsion paint of make Asian (APEX - Dust proof) or other approved equivalent make of approved shade or match with existing shade. Mixing ratio of paint, consumption and application shall be as per manufacturer specifications. Note: Cost for plastering will be paid for separately under relevant item. Painting over all exposed surfaces at all heights

Repairs to the wall and ceiling cracks by cutting 'V' shaped grooves and filling with crack seal compound of make Asian (Smart care crack seal) MC Bauchemie (Crackfill) or FAB Chemical (Mixbuild GP) or Bostik (Crackfill) including cleaning the grooves treat the crack with primer, apply two coats of crack seal using spatulla or putty knife, finishing the surface, etc., Mixing ratio, consumption and application procedure shall be as per manufacturer specifications all complete as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and inserting 12mm (± 2mm) dia Galvanized steel/ Aluminium injection nipple suitable to withstand high pressure grouting in honey comb area/weak/porous concrete including drilling of holes of required diametre (20mm to 30mm) up to depth from 30mm to 80mm at required spacing, making the hole dust free by blowing compressed air, sealing the sides of injection nipple with adhesive chemical of make MC Bauchemie (MC Fix-ST) or Bostik (Plug leak) or other approved make and allow it to cure, etc., all complete as directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

Providing and injecting PU based injection grout of make MC Bauchemie (MC Inkjet 2700L) or other approved make in proportion as recommended by the manufacturer into cracks/honey-comb area of concrete by suitable two component injection gun/pump at required pressure including mixing of two component, injecting at specified pressure, cutting of nipples after curing, etc., all complete as directed by Engineer-In-Charge. Note:- i) The payment shall be made on the basis of actual weight of approved grout injected. ii) Mixing ratio of chemicals, consumption and application shall be as per manufacturer specifications. iii) The treatment should be done by an agency specialized in the job having sufficient knowledge of grouting in concrete. iv) Cost of providing and fixing of injection nipples will be paid for separately under relevant item.

Providing and laying Cement Concrete 1:2:4 using 20mm and downgraded size hard granite broken stone in foundations, trenches etc., including ramming, compaction, levelling, mechanical mixing, curing, dewatering, if any and including closing of Air vents at sloped roof, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Dismantling of Tile work in floors and roofs laid in CM upto 25mm thick including removal of tiles, stacking as directed, disposal of debris within a initial lead of 50m etc., all complete.

Dismantling Plain cement concrete / Brick bat coba at all lifts including clearing and depositing the same with a distance of 100 metres as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Dismantling Reinforced cement concrete at all lifts including dismantling of Air vents, clearing and depositing the same with a distance of 100 metres as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Disposal of surplus excavated earth / Dismantled debris by collecting, loading, transporting by mechanical means and unloading them at places as shown by the Department within a lead specified below and levelling, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note:- 1) The rates in respect of this item are applicable for the NET Quantities arrived at after making deductions for voids @ 20% in respect of soil and @ 50% in respect of rock from the corresponding stack / truck measurements. 2) The earth shall be dumped well inside the dumping yard and not over approach pathway road.
