Preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc. complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for bituminous macadam not exceeding 75 mm thickness (compacted thickness) using hot mix plant and mechanical paver with 4% binder (paving grade bitumen VG-30 grade) content by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted with power roller 8 to 10 tonnes to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- (i) Bituminous macadam shall be laid using self propelled hydrostatic paver finisher and preparation of mix shall be using hot mix plant and transporting the mix in tipper. (ii) The exact bitumen content required shall be determined as per IRC 27: 2009. The adjustment in rate due to variation in quantity of bitumen if any shall be priced at the rate of ₹44 per kg.

M & L for semi dense bituminous concrete 30 mm (compacted thickness) using graded crushed stone aggregate premixed with binder (paving grade bitumen VG-30 grade) @ 5% by weight of total mix & hydraulic lime filler, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- (i) Semi dense bituminous concrete shall be laid using self propelled hydrostatic paver finisher and preparation of mix shall be using hot mix plant and transporting the mix in tipper. (ii) The exact bitumen content required shall be determined following the Marshall Mix Design procedure contained in the Asphalt Institute Manual MS-2 (Sixth Edition) as referred in case 3.5.3 of IRC 111: 2009. The adjustment in rate due to variation in quantity of bitumen if any shall be priced at the rate of ₹44 per kg.

Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area exceeding 400 sqm, depth of pot hole exceeding 50 mm but not exceeding 100 mm including rolling over the broken surfaces using 8 to 10 tonnes power roller to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for 7.5 cm thick (compacted thickness) WBM, with coarse aggregates of granite, trap or basalt of grading 2 (63 to 45 mm size) or of grading 3 (53 to 22.4 mm size), spread, rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber with three wheel-power roller of 80 to 100 kN capacity or an equivalent vibratory roller complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for applying primer on the surface of non-bituminous granular base course preparatory to the superimposition of bituminous treatment coat with cationic bitumen emulsion SS-1 grade at the rate of 10 kg per 10 Sqm of surface complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for applying tack coat on existing bituminous, cement concrete or primed granular surface to ensure a bond between the surface being paved and the overlaying course with cationic bitumen emulsion RS-1 grade at the rate of 3 kg per 10 sqm of surface complete all as specified and as directed.

Providing and applying 2.5 mm thick road marking strips (retro-reflective) of specified shade/ colour using hot thermoplastic material by fully/ semi-automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater, driven by experienced operator on road surface including cost of material, labour, T & P, cleaning the road surface of all dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign material etc. complete all as specified and as directed.

Providing and fixing in repairs Glow studs (cat's eye) of size 80 to 100 mm X 80 to 100 mm X 15 to 20 mm made of heavy duty body shall be moulded ASA (Acrylic styrene Acryloretrite) or HIP (High impact polystyrene) or ABS having electronically welded micro- prismatic lens with abrasion resistant coating as approved by Engineer in charge. The cat’s eye shall support a load of 13635 kg tested in accordance with ASTM D4280. The slope of retro- reflective surface shall be 35⁰ ± 5⁰ to base. The reflective panels on both sides with at least 12 cm of reflective area up each side. The luminance intensity should be as per the specification and shall be tested as described in ASTM I: 809 as recommended in BS: 873 Part 4: 1973. The studs shall be fixed to the Road surface using the adhesive conforming to IS, as per procedure recommended by the manufacturer complete and as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.

S & F in repairs delineator as per Model No. DA-952-GP of M/s Dark Eye, ABS round body fitted with 2 Nos 100 mm dia highly reflective reflectors made out of PMMA and mounted on MS pipe of 50 duly powder coated, antirust & anti-theft steel net including embedding 200 mm below ground level in PCC M15(Nominal Mix) with using 20 mm graded stone aggregate in foundation of size 250 mm X 250 mm X 250 mm, necessary excavation and making good surface complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix in repairs rubber speed bump of size 50 mm (height) X 380 mm (width) X 500 mm (length), ABS block black and yellow & reflectors on both sides including necessary fixing arrangements with epoxy/thermoplastic adhesive all as per manufacturers instructions and complying to guidelines issued by Min of Road Transport. etc. complete.

Surface excavation not exceeding 30 cm deep and averaging 15 cm deep and getting out in soft/ loose soil complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for 100 mm spread thickness, moorum in granular sub base or light wearing surfaces, spread, rolled and compacted using vibratory roller of 80 to 100 kN static weight with plain or pad foot drum to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and as directed.

Removing excavated material (soils) not exceeding 50 m and depositing where directed at a level n exc. 1.5 m above the starting point
