Mandtory:- Monsoon sheds need to be provided fo all weather construction activity (especially roof treatment works). No separate item is included in the BoQ. The rates quoted by the vender is deemed to be inclusive of monsoon sheds.
Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side of building/structure, up to 25 meter height, above ground level, including additional rows of scaffolding in stepped manner as per requirement of site, made with 40mm dia M.S. tube, placed 1.5 meter center to center, horizontal & vertical tubes joint with cup & lock system with M.S. Tubes, M.S. tube challis, M.S. clamps and staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for execution of work of cleaning and/ or pointing and/ or applying chemical and removing it thereafter. The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connecting with the building etc, wherever required, if feasible, for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc., complete as per directions and approval of Engineer-in-charge. Note:- (1) The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose. (2) The payment will be made once only for execution of all items for such works. Provision for erection External Steel scaffolding using MS - Cup and Lock system pipe and MS working platform at different level as per the site requirement etc., up to a approximate Height of 10 m to execute the conservation works etc., complete as per the directions of Conservation Engineer.
Providing supply and fixing Spalling Safety nets all around the building each net (or section of it) should have a border rope or bedding of the same quality material as the mesh material. The mesh rope or webbing should be anchored securely to the border at each crossing. The minimum size of the border rope should be 3⁄4-inch diameter. As directed by the engineer in charge

Jack Arch Roof works - entire roof area is divided as per percentage of estimated damage for Complete Jack Arch, Complete Terrace Works which is considered as provisional at 20% of Slab Area, and Repair works or roof repair works are considered at 60% of the total slab area. which shall be computed at the time of removal of deteriorated plaster from terrace and ceiling, level of damage shall be and ascertained detailed recording of the same shall be done by engineer in charge and conservation architect, all terrace work items are subject to measurement. Installing new ISMB of 100mm, with anticorrosion coating, (Desired length of the ISMB to be ascertained from the deteriorated I beam, which is removed for repair)

Applying 50 mm lime plaster in three coats on the scraped surface washed with lime water and kept wet for two days and Applying to attain uniform surface over uneven scraped surface duly filling the weak pockets in masonry walls in the following sequence (applying to ceiling first and then facade surface). 1. Applying 28 mm of lime mortar (1 lime: 2 sand including Ingredients such as Jaggery liquid, Karakkai liquid and jute fiber). In two or three coats on the scraped surface, ensuring uniform thickness. It shall be dashed with mortar and floated roughly with wooden float and kept damp for at least two days. 2. Applying 18 mm of lime plaster (lime in water with ingredients such as Jaggery liquid, Karkkai liquid, Egg shells and brick jelly made ready for application after mixing and keeping for 20 days period) on the wetted surface of the first coat. It shall be brought to true even surface and lightly roughened with a wooden float and allowed to dry after keeping damp for two days. 3. Sprinkled lime water curing shall be started once the plaster has sufficiently hardened and kept wet for at least 10 days. Complete for finished item of work. All lime mortars, Plasters, contain necessary ingredients and additives in the above mix, the cost of ingredients is added separately. The weight for slaked lime is 500Kg/Cum after 10 days of slaking. As per CPWD Rate Analysis (APSD Schedule Item No.226)
Scraping old decayed plastering Making cornice work wherever necessary and attending 50mm thick Ornamental plastering 1st coat 36mm thick in LM (1:2) prop, 2nd coat, 14mm thick in LM (1: 1 1/2) prop and top finishing with Cebara 3mm thick, for clock tower including cost and conveyance of all material and labour charges, Scaffolding charges etc., complete for finished item of work for -10 sqm.

DEVEGETATION Manually removal of vegetation (major trees, climbing plants, creepers) from walls, columns, arches, floor etc in a skilled and careful manner, using appropriate tools and means and without causing any damage to the adjoining parts, including carrying and stacking the dismantled materials including lift/lower up to 11mtrs and lead up to 50 mtrs as directed by the engineer or architect in charge. The exposed surfaces will be coated with a paste made from ammonium sulphonate crystals or with "Tree killer" available in market. In this condition the root system may be left to absorb and die. Large sections of dead wood must not be left within the core. As they decay they will remove support and create voids and weaknesses in the wall. Pull off a well‐established mat of vegetation must be resisted. Tamping, grouting, pointing and resetting of brick / stones especially on wall top, must all be anticipated as remedial work. Preparatory work that includes removal of existing vegetation on the Facade by cutting the branches first and inserting mixture of asafetida and quick lime 3 times through a hole made in the trunk and removing all the roots carefully causing minimum damage to the structure, along with clearing of moss/algae growth with necessary scaffolding etc. and disposal of the debris up to a distance of 500m outside the periphery of the area cleared, complete for finished item of work.
