PROVISION OF BASKET BALL COURT WOODEN FLOORING IN INDOOR STADIUM AT SAINIK SCHOOL BIJAPUR UNDER GE BELGAUM

Supply and Installation of Maple Wooden flooring minimum 21/22mm thick, confirming to the requirements of FIBA / WSF / BWE for indoor purpose, complete all as specified and as per manufacturers instructions, with and including product should be tested and certified as per FIBA norms, with and including demolition & removal of existing old u/s flooring with frame / grid of any type and sealing holes with PCC 1:1.5:3 type A0 and preparation of wooden suface having following specifications:- (a) Top Surface Board: Kiln seasoned imported solid Hard Maple (Sycamore) Wooden board flooring of minimum 21/22mm thick, 60 to 85mm width and in random length (upto 1.8m), jointed with tongue & groove shape on all four sides of board. The edges of the board shall have a finger lock groove and bottom side with air pass groove and applied with polyurethane lacquer. The under frame made of commercial quality fir/spruce/pine wood runners of 70mm x 45mm treated with anti-termite solution at points of contact of wood work by ATT chemical @0.50Lit/hole by drilling 6mm dia holes at downward angle of 45 degree at 150mm c/c and sealing the joints with CM1:2 to match the existing floor fixed on bottom side with 10mm/19mm thick EPDM air cushioning pads of staple through the two wings at 300mm c/c over subbase. (b) Installation: The vapour barrier of 6ml (600 micron) thick shall be placed on the levelled IPS Sub floor before laying the under frame. The runners having air cell pads shall be placed on the vapour barrier in the perfect level at 300mm c/c in one direction. The surface boards shall be screwed to the runners through the tongue only and shall lock the screwed tongue by the groove at the adjoining boards. (c) Finishing: After installation, the floor shall be drum machine sanded in uniform level and finished with imported non-skid DIN certified Bona-AB Polyurethane lacquer. Game line marking shall be carried out in required colours before applying the finishing coat. (d) Timber: All timber used for surface boards shall be imported Hard Maple Wood. All timber shall be free from loose knots, bee holes, splits, cracks and fungal attack. All timer shall be Klin Seasoned to a moisture content of Apx 12% to 14%. The varying colour of the wood due to its natural characteristics will not be considered as defects, complete with and including all leads & all lifts & costs as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
