Construction of granular sub-base by providing well graded material like natural sand crushed gravel or crushed stone having CBR >30, spreading in uniform layers with motor grader on prepared surface, mixing by mix in place method with rotavator or plant mix method at OMC, and compacting with vibratory rollers of 80 to 100 kN static weight to achieve the desired density, complete as per Clause 401 of Specification. ( A ) Plant Mix Method (i) For Grading-I Material

Providing, laying, spreading and compacting stone aggregates of specific sizes to water bound macadam specification including spreading in uniform thickness, hand packing, rolling with vibratory roller 8-10 tonnes in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming requisite type of screening/ binding Materials to fill up the interstices of coarse aggregate, watering and compacting to the required density as per clause 404 of specification. ( B ) By Mechanical Means (iii) Grading- II (53 to 22.4mm) (a) Using Screening Type-B (11.2mm Agg.)

Providing and applying tack coat with low viscosity bitumen of VG 10 grade using bitumen pressure sprayer on the prepared bituminous/granular surface cleaned with mechanical broom and as per relevant clauses of section-503 of specifications. (iv) @ 0.40 kg per sqm (Non-bituminous surfaces) granular base not primed.

Providing and constructing 75 mm. thick Modified Penetration Macadam (MPM) road surface including all materials, preparing the existing road surface, spreading 40 mm. stone metal layers 30% crusher broken metal + 70% Hand broken (by breaking rubble obtained by blasting) heating and spraying the bitumen of specified grade @ 2 Kg/sqm, spreading 12 mm.size chips compacting with three wheel static roller having weight 8 to 10 MT. to achive the desired degree of compaction as per Technical Specification Clause 506 etc. complete. Including picking of existing WBM surface. (VG-30 bulk bitumen rates are considered to arrive at rates)

Providing and laying dense bituminous macadam using crushed aggregates of specified grading, premixed with bituminous binder @ 4.0 to 4.5% by weight of total mix of mix and filler, transporting the hot mix to work site, laying with a hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per clause 505 of specification complete in all respects. (a) Using Batch Mix Plnt of appropriate capacity and Paver finisher Hydraustatic with Sensor. (ii) for GradingII(19 mm nominal size)

Providing and laying bituminous concrete using crushed aggregates of specified grading, premixed with bituminous binder @ 5.4 to 5.6 % of mix and filler, transporting the hot mix to work site, laying with a hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per clause 507 of specification. (a) Using Batch Mix Plant of appropriate capacity and Paver Finisher Hydraustatic with Sensor control. (iv) for Grading-II (30-45 mm thickness ) with 60/70 bitumen(VG-30)

Supplying soft murum at the road site, including conveying and stacking complete.

Spreading hard murum/ soft murrum/ gravel or kankar for side width complete

Compacting the hard murum side widths including laying in layers on each side with vibratory roller including artificial watering etc. complete.

Scarifying the existing bituminous road surface to a depth of 50 mm and disposal of scarified material with in all lifts and lead upto 1000 metres.

Providing and Laying hot applied thermoplastic road marking strip on Bituminous Surface of specified shade/ colour of 2.5 mm thick including 1.5 Refractive index reflectorizing glass beads @ 250gm/sqm .Thickness of 2.5 mm is exclusive of surface applied glass beads as per IRC 35:2015. Initial Dry reflectivity RL shall be > 250 mcd/sqm/lux measured in the initial 7 days and sustained reflectivity RL of 100 mcd/sqm/ lux and Qd of 100 mcd/sqm/ lux measured at the end of 2 years by means of a Standard Reflectometer of Zehntner, Easylux, Delta make capable of measuring RL & QD both according to IRC 35:2015 clause 15.5. The finished surface to be level, uniform, and free from streaks and holes complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge and in accordance with applicable specifications.(Refer MORTH Clause 803 for technical Specification and Performance for IRC 35:2015).

Supplying and Fixing of Molded Shank Raised Pavement Markers / Cat's Eye made of polycarbonate and ABS moulded body and reflective panels with micro prismatic lens capable of providing total internal reflection of the light entering the lens face and shall support a load of 16000 kg tested in accordance to ASTM D 4280 Type H and complying to Specifications of Category A of MORTH Circular No RW/NH/33023/10-97 DO III Dt 11.06. 1997. The height, width and length shall not exceed 50 mm, 100 mm and 102 +/- 2 mm and with minimum reflective area of 13 Sqcm on each side and the slope to the base shall be 35 +/- 5 degree. The strength of detachment of the integrated cylindrical shanks, (of diameter not less than 19 +/- 2 mm and height not less than 30+/- 2 mm) from the body is to be a minimum value of 500 Kg. Fixing will be by drilling holes on the road for the shanks to go inside, without nails and using epoxy resin based adhesive as per manufacturer's recommendation and complete as directed by the engineer.The contractor shall submit a two year warranty for satisfactory field performance including stipulated retro-reflectance of the reflecting panel, to the Engineer.
