Supply of Outdoor Metal free Optical fiber cable 6F (Non-Nylon type) for underground installation in ducts. The cable shall have double HDPE jacketing anti-termite& anti-rodent with glass yarn in between as reinforcement. The optical fiber cable shall be suitably protected for the ingress of moisture by Flooding Jelly/WS yarn and WS tape. Optical fiber cable shall be able to work in a saline atmosphere in coastal areas and should be protected against corrosion The Optical fiber cable supplied shall be suitable and compatible to match with the dimensions, fixing, terminating & splicing arrangement of the splice closure. The cable supplied shall also meet other requirement of splice closure (GR No.TEC/GR/TX/OJC-002/03/APR-2010) and subsequent amendments, if any. Single Mode Optical Fiber used in manufacturing optical fiber cables shall be as per ITU-T Rec. G 652 D

Supply of permanently Lubricated HDPE Telecom Ducts for use as underground optical fibre cable conduits The HDPE pipes suitable for Optical Fibre Cable is pull through 40mm outer diameter PLB Pipes/Coils having strength of 10 Kg/sq. cm. Necessary HDPE socket, PR rope, PLB end caps To prevent entry of rodents into PLB pipes, the ends of PLB pipes are sealed at every manhole and joint using rodent resistant hard rubber bush (cap) after optical fibre cable is pulled.

Laying of OFC cable & HDPE pipes mentioned in Sl.No. 1& 2 in the fencing inside Red Gate and along korampallam bridge with proper clamping

Laying of OFC cable & HDPE pipes mentioned in Sl.No.1& 2 inside the cable duct by lifting the concrete blocks trench behind green gate entrance and after laying of cables inside duct the concrete blocks to be arranged to avoid hindrance for pedestrian movement.

Laying of OFC cable in trench by excavating earth at a depth of 1 mtr Necessary cushioning and cable should be covered for protection and refilling the trench and make good.

Supply & laying of suitable ISI standard GI pipe in road crossing by road cutting to a depth of 300 mm and laying of GI and finishing with concrete to the road level Necessary rubber bushes to be provided in the ends of the GI pipe for easy movement of OFC cables and to prevent rodents G.I. pipes should be of medium duty class having diameter of 65 mm./40mm. The G.I. Pipes should conform to IS 554/1985 (revised upto date) IS 1989 (Part-I), 1900 Sockets (revised upto date) & IS 1239 (Part-II) 1992 (revised upto date).

Laying PLB pipe by HDD method using HDD machine and cable blowing is done by Air compressor cable blowing machine along the highways road from Check Post No.1 of VOC Port to VOC Port truck parking terminal opposite to fisheries college as per the rules of NHAI/ TN State Highways. The contractor shall obtain permission from NHAI for laying. The necessary OFC joints/ clamping inside over bridge if required in the above area is in the scope of the contractor.
