RESURFACING OF ROAD, ROAD MARKING, REPLACEMENT OF ROAD FURNITURE AND ALLIED WORKS AT AF STN ARJAN SINGH UNDER GE (AF) PANAGARH

Milling/ Scarifying the existing bituminous road surface (wearing course) mechanically by using milling machine to a depth of 40 mm (avg) and disposal of scarified material within all lifts and outside MOD land complete all as specified and directed.

Material & Labour preparation of old bituminious/ black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing cake mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in -charge.

Material & labour applying evenly a priming / tack coat with bituminious primer @ 5kg per 10 sqm with paving bitumen (grade VG 10) complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M&L for premix bituminous macadam laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (Consolidated thickness 75 mm or less) using paving bitumen VG-30 grade as binder minimum 4% by weight of total mix complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- If the requirement of bitumen as per design mix is more than 4% the same shall be provided by the contractor at no extra cost to the Govt.

M&L Bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete (SDAC) 40mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder content of grade VG-30 by weight of total Mix, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete using hot mix plant and machanical paver rolled with 8 to 12 tonne power roller complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- (i) Premix SDAC shall be procured from a Hot Mix Plant (ii) Exact quantity of binder to be used shall be ascertained by Design Mix. (iii) Minimum of 5.5 % of binder shall be used. However in case more than 5.5% of binder content is required as per design mix the same shall be provided by the contractor at no extra cost. (iv) Bitumen content and density testing equipment should be readily available at site during work. (v) The design mix shall be prepared by any Govt Engg College/NIT/IIT and the same shall be approved by GE and the quoted rate shall be inclusive of the same.

M&L for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc. and the like n. exc 10 cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine all as per manufactures instruction complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for preparation of new surface and applying one coat of Synthetic enamel paint on brick, stone, plaster or concrete complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Supply and fix solar cat eye aluminium alloy shall (100% water proofing design according to 65) of size 125mm x 125mm x 25mm (shank 65mm) of high efficiency Mono rystafie solar panel 2.4V/ 0.3 watt one NI-ed rechargeable battery (1.2V/ 1600MA) consisting of super bright LED with 10,000 to 18,000 mcd completed as per manufactures instructions etc. all as specified and directed. Note: (i) the contractor shall submit purchse voucher for the same at the time of RAR/Final Bill. The Engr-in-CHarge Shall verify the same and submit along with RAR/FB. Non-SUbmission may lead to non-Payment of this item Make : Dark Eye DA - 110/ 3M/ TATA/ BP/ Road Star /Oskar or as approved by GE.

Supply and fixing cat eye solar reflective type of ABS body of size 100mm x 100mm x 18.5mm with reflector of model No. DA 978 fixed with and incl MS stud of suitable size as per manufactures instructions complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: (i) the contractor shall submit purchse voucher for the same at the time of RAR/Final Bill. The Engr-in-CHarge Shall verify the same and submit along with RAR/FB. Supplying and fixing retro reflective overhead signage boards made up of 2 mm thick aluminium sheet, face to be fully covered with high intensity and encapsulated lens type heat activated retro reflective sheeting conforming to type - III of ASTM-D-4956-01 as approved by Engineer-in-charge, letters, borders etc. as per IRC : 67-2001 in silver white with blue colour back ground and with high intensity grade, pasted on substrate by pressure sensitive adhesive backing which shall be activated by applying pressure conforming to class II of ASTM-D-4956-01 and fixing the same to the plate of structural frame work by means of suitable sized aluminium alloys, rivets or bolts & nuts @ 300 mm centre to centre all along the periphery as well as in two vertical rows along with theft resistant measures, including the cost of painting with two or more coats of epoxy paint in grey colour on the back side of aluminium sheet including appropriate priming coat. The rate includes the cost of rounding off the corners, lowering down the structural frame work from the gantry, fixing and erecting the same in position all complete as per drawings, specification and direction of the engineer-in-charge.(Structural frame work including M.S. plate to be provided separately. Rectangular area of the sheet only shall be measured for payment).
