Clearing and Grubbing Road Land Clearing and grubbing road land including uprooting wild vegetation, grass, bushes, shrubs, saplings and trees of girth upto 300 mm, removal of stumps of such trees cut earlier and disposal of unserviceable materials and stacking of serviceable material to be used or auctioned, upto a lead of 1000 m including removal and disposal of top organic soil not exceeding 150 mm in thickness as per Technical Specification Clause 201.

Picking BT Scarifying the existing bituminous road surface to a depth of scarified material with a lift upto 3 m and lead upto 1000 m as per Technical Specification Clause 301.4.

Excavatation of Soil using Hydraulic Excavator and Tippers with disposal upto 1000m. Excavation for Road work in soil with hydraulic excavator of 0.9 cum bucket capacity including cutting and loading in tippers, trimming bottom and side slopes, in accordance with requirements of lines, grades and cross-sections, and transporting to the embankment location with a lift upto 1.5m and lead upto 1000m as per Technical Specification Clause 302.3

Water Bound MACADAM - II Providing, laying, spreaing and compacting grade stone aggregate of specific sizes to water bound macadam specification including spreading in uniform thickness, hand packing, rolling with three wheel 800-100 kN static roller in stages to proper grade and camber, appying and brooming, crushable screening to fill-uo the interstices of coarse aggregate, watering and compacting to the required density Grading 2 as per Technical Specification clause.

Water Bound MACADAM - III Providing, laying, spreaing and compacting grade stone aggregate of specific sizes to water bound macadam specification including spreading in uniform thickness, hand packing, rolling with three wheel 800-100 kN static roller in stages to proper grade and camber, appying and brooming, crushable screening to fill-uo the interstices of coarse aggregate, watering and compacting to the required density Grading 2 as per Technical Specification clause.

Providing and applying prime coat with bitumen emulsion (SS-1) on prepared surface of granular base including cleaning of road surface and spraying primer at the rate of 0.85 kg/sqm using mechanical means as per Technical Specification Clause 502.

Providing and applying tack coat with Bitumen emulsion (RS-1) using emulsion distributor at the rate of 0.275 kg per sqm on the prepared Granular surface treated with Primer & cleaned with Hydraulic broom as per Technical Specification Clause 503

PREMIX CARPET Providing, laying and rolling of open-graded premix carpet of 20 mm thickness composed of 13.2 mm to 5.6 mm aggregates either using penetration grade bitumen or emulsion to required line, grade and level to serve as wearing course on a previously prepared base, including mixing in a suitable plant, laying and rolling with a three wheel 80-100 KN static roller capacity, finished to required level and grades to be followed by seal coat of either Type A or Type B or Type C as per Technical Specification Clause 508.

Maintenance of the road

Towards the charges for routline maintenance of the road work executed under PMGSY including dressing of berms by refilling the gully with the earth from borrow pits, cleaning of wild seasonal growth on berms, destilting of side drains and CD works, white washing guard stones, painting of KM, HM stones, parapets, cutting of branches of trees, refixing displaced guard stones, caution boards, speed limit boards etc., with the periodicity for the above activities as prescribed in IRCSP- 20:2002 and as directed by the departmental officers except for the constructional defects which has to be rectified by the contractor at his own cost
