Excavating trenches of required width by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) / manual means for pipes, cables etc., for depth upto 1.5m in all kinds of soil including excavation for sockets, dressing of sides, ramming of bottoms, getting out the excavated soil and then refilling the soil as required in layers not exceeding 200mm in depth, consolidating each deposited layer by ramming, watering etc., and disposing of surplus excavated soil as directed within a lead of 50m, (Disposed soil to be levelled by breaking clods, if any and neatly dressed), etc., all complete as per specification.
Clearing light jungle including uprooting of rank vegetation, grass, brush wood, removal of rubbish upto a distance of 100m outside the periphery of the area cleared, etc., all complete as per specification and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge.
Cutting and felling trees of the girth (measured at a height of 1m above ground level) including cutting of trunks, branches, removing the roots, stacking of serviceable materials and disposal of unserviceable materials within a lead of 200m including filling the pits and depression with excavated earth, etc., all as directed by Engineer-In-Charge.
Beyond 300mm girth upto and including 600mm girth.
Disposal of surplus excavated earth / Debris by collecting, loading, transporting by mechanical means and unloading them at places as shown by the Department within a lead specified below and levelling, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: 1) The rates in respect of this item are applicable for the NET Quantities arrived at after making deductions for voids @ 20% in respect of soil and @ 50% in respect of rock from the corresponding stack / truck measurements. 2) The earth shall be dumped well inside the dumping yard and not over approach pathway road.

Providing and laying in position of plain cement concrete using hard granite broken stone for all insitu levelling courses in foundations, floor, roof screeding, encasing pipes, etc., including mechanical mixing, ramming, compaction, levelling, curing, dewatering, if any including the cost of formwork etc., all complete as per specifications.

Providing, erecting, placing in position and removing Formwork for all insitu concrete works at all lifts and all shapes such as circular works, chamfers, splays, etc., using Steel / Plywood shuttering including centering, scaffolding, strutting, propping with necessary bracing in all areas, fixing of EPs, cutting holes and fixing pipe sleeves, applying of approved form oil over surface in contact with concrete, de-shuttering after specified curing period, etc., all complete as per drawings and specifications. Note: Measurement for the formwork shall be the area of forms in contact with concrete surfaces. Stop boards for construction joints will not be measured separately for payment. Centering and shuttering where exceeding 3.5m height in one floor shall be measured and paid for separately.
For Plain Surfaces upto 3.5m height
Providing and casting insitu Reinforced Cement Concrete 1 : 1.5 : 3 using machine crushed hard broken granite stone of nominal size 20mm including mechanical mixing, transporting, placing at all lifts, vibrating, consolidation, curing, finishing smooth all exposed faces, for all insitu concrete items, etc. as per drawings and specifications. Note : The rate quoted shall be exclusive of reinforcement and formwork which will be paid for separately under relevant items.
Providing, cutting, bending, placing and binding steel reinforcement using TMT bars of Fe-500 / Fe-500D grade in all reinforced cement concrete works including cutting, bending, fixing, tieing in position with 1.6 mm dia soft drawn annealed binding wire, cost of cover blocks in C.M 1:2, etc., complete as per specifications and drawings. Important Note: The required quantity of steel reinforcement as mentioned in the schedule should be procured by the contractor only of SAIL, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (VIZAG), TATA Steel & JINDAL from authorised dealers which shall conform to IS: 1786 (Latest Edition).
Providing and laying brick masonry from FFL upto Floor-V level with well burnt chamber bricks / FALG Bricks of approved quality in Cement Mortar 1:6 in all shapes and sizes including scaffolding, curing, raking out joints, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer.
Plastering with cement Mortar 1:5 , 12mm thick for brickwork for internal & External faces, finished smooth with a floating coat of neat cement including scaffolding , curing and forming grooves wherever necessary and applying bonding agents, disposing the dismantled debris, etc all complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer.
Providing and Fixing Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC) pipes (Class-I) of SDR-11 of approved make conforming to IS 15778 having thermal stability for hot and cold water supply including providing all CPVC plain and brass threaded fittings, fixing the clamps at 1m spacing, jointing of pipes and fittings with 1 step CPVC solvent cement, turflong tape making necessary opening/chasing of the wall , flooring/ earthwork testing of joints, etc., all complete as per specification and as directed by Engineer In-Charge. (Internal work-Exposed on wall)

Supplying, laying and fixing in position the following sizes of ductile iron pipes in standard length of K-9 class conforming to IS:8329/2000, suitable for rubber gasket (SPR) push on joints, pipes shall be bearing with ISI marks and cement mortar lining inside barrel including lowering them into the excavated trenches and laying, fixing in position to proper grade and alignment all as per IS:12288 and standard specifications including cutting the pipes to the required length, cost of labour, pipes and other materials, tools and plants for laying and installing the pipe lines and testing the lines to the required hydrostatic pressure of 14 kgs./sq.cm. at the specified intervals but excluding cost of Ductile iron specials / fittings and joints which will be paid under relevant items. (Note: The effective length of the DI fittings / specials, valves, double flanged pipes, etc., will be deducted from the overall measurement of the pipe line for making payment against this item).

Providing and fixing rubber gasket (SBR or EPDM) push on joints to the following sizes of DI pipes including insertion of rubber gasket into the centering rings of the socket of the pipes and pushing the spigot end into socket and making the joint intact to withstand the hydrostatic pressure of 14Kgs./sq.cm. including cost of all materials, rubber gasket, tools and plants, etc., complete conforming to IS:5382/1985 and IS:12288/1987.

Supplying and fixing tested heavy quality DI specials / fittings K-12 class socket, spigot and flanged specials such as bends, collars tapers, tees, duckfoot bend, flanged socket and flanged spigot tail pieces, blank flanges, etc. and conforming to IS:9523/2000 and IS:8329/2000 drilling holes to the flanged fittings shall be PN classification and socket specials /fittings shall be suitable for rubber gasket (SPR) push on joints, etc., complete (Joints will be paid for separately under relevant items).

Construction of Brick masonry Sluice valve Chamber of size 1200 x 1200mm clear internally with brick masonry walls 345mm thick for the bottom to a height of 400mm and 230mm for the remaining portion using well burnt chamber bricks in Cement Mortar 1:5 (with necessary corbelling as required) plastering with Cement Mortar 1:5; 12mm thick inside and outside, inside finished smooth with a floating coat of neat cement and outside trowel finished , providing and laying bed concrete 150mm thick and having 150mm wide projection on all the sides with Plain Cement Concrete 1:4.5:8 using 40mm maximum size hard granite broken stone, providing 75mm thick RCC precast cover slab in two pieces of size with necessary steel reinforcement including excavation in all types of soils, back filling, disposing the surplus earth, etc.,., all complete as per specifications and as directed up to an initial depth upto 1.00 metre. Taking out existing CC interlocking paver blocks from footpath/ central verge, including removal of rubbish etc., disposal of unserviceable material to the dumping ground, for which payment shall be made separately and stacking of serviceable material within 50 metre lead as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
Laying old cement concrete interlocking paver blocks of any design/ shape laid in required line, level, curvature, colour and pattern over and including taking out existing CC interlocking paver blocks from footpath/ central verge, removal of rubbish, providing 50 mm thick compacted bed of sand, filling the joints with fine sand etc. all complete as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge. (Note: Old CC paver blocks shall be supplied by the Department free of cost)
Providing and laying of Wet Mix Macadam (WMM) for Sub-base and base course conforming to clause 406 of MORT&H Specification for road and bridge works (Fifth Revision) using 53mm downgraded stone aggregate including cost of coarse aggregates, fine aggregate, premixing the Material with water at OMC in mechanical mix plant, carriage of mixed Material by tipper to site, laying in uniform layers with paver/motor grader in sub-base / base course on well prepared surface and compacting with vibratory roller to achieve the desired density, etc., all as per specification and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Cutting the existing bituminous road for pipeline / cable trenches including restoring to its original condition using the retrieved and supply of extra quantities of materials, etc., as per specifications and as directed.
Providing and fixing of pre-cast route marker of size 300mmx850mm and 50mm thick with 1:2:4 mix plain cement concrete using 12mm size aggregate including two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of primer, lettering the route details with black enamel paint of approved font, formwork, fixing, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer In Charge. (Note: The cost of steel which will be paid for separately under relevant item.)
Dismantling Plain cement concrete/Brick bat coba at all lifts including clearing and depositing the same with a distance of 100 metres as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Dismantling RR Masonry in cement mortar at all lifts including stacking of RR stone, clearing and depositing the debris within a distance of 100 metres all as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Dismantling 15 to 40 mm dia Internal G.I/PE-AL-PE /cpvc pipe line Exposed on wall including stacking of dismantled pipes (within 50 metres lead) as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
