Repairs to roof of Terminal Building and Under Ground Sump at Power House at Puducherry Airport

Providing and laying of three course water proofing treatment to be laid in patches at roof of Terminal building wherever required. First layer consists of application of Polyurethane Primer (Shaliprime Primer or equivalent) to be applied on the surface area after cleaning the surface with wire brush and dust and loose particles to be removed. Second layer consists of Polyurethane elastometric liquid membrane (ShaliUrethane LM or equivalent) with Geo-tex fabric of 120 gsm thick. Polyurethane elastometric liquid membrane to be applied on the polyurethane primer and geo-tex fabric shall be laid over the liquid membrane when it is in touch and tacky. Third layer consists of application Polyurethane elastometric liquid membrane over the geo-tex fabric. After the above application curing shall be carried out as per the standard. Necessary scaffolding and tools etc. to be arranged by the agency for carrying out the work as per the specification and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Dismantling old plaster or skirting raking out joints and cleaning the surface for plaster including disposal of rubbish to the dumping ground within 50 metres lead.

Grouting in concrete by drilling of holes upto 1/3 rd thickness of the concrete and fixing of 10mm non returnable packer to facilitate the grouting and initially pumping of polyurethane foam grout at 200 psi pressure. After 20 minutes polyurethane resin has to be pumped to fill the voids in foam. After dry condition packer has to be removed and sealed with non-shrink PU grout. The above process should be carried out as per manufacturer specification. After sufficient air curing of injection, the entire waterproofing area shall be protected with protective plastering. (Protective plastering shall be paid seperately)

25 mm thick Cement plaster of mix 1:4 (1 Cement: 4 Coarse Sand/M Sand) on the rough side of the wall admixed with an integral waterproofing compound (Conplast WL or equivalent) as per manufacturer specification etc complete as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side of building/structure, upto 25 metre height, above ground level, including additional rows of scaffolding in stepped manner as per requirement of site, made with 40mm dia M.S. tube, placed 1.5 metre centre to centre, horizontal & vertical tubes joint with cup & lock system with M.S. Tubes, M.S. tube challis, M.S. clamps and staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for execution of work of cleaning and/ or pointing and/ or applying chemical and removing it thereafter. The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connecting with the building etc, wherever required, if feasible, for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc., complete as per directions and approval of Engineer-in-charge. Note:- (1) The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose. (2) The payment will be made once only for execution of all items for such works.
