Replastering the ceiling, etc., with Lime mortar 1:1.5 (one Lime and one and half sand), 20mm thick using Pollachi lime in all floors including labour charges, etc., complete complying with standard specifications as directed by the departmental officers.
Exposed brick work Pointing with Lime flush pointing in stone and brick with 1:1.5 lime mix after making surface to be pointed free from dust and durt the pointing should be commpacted well making sure that the brick surface in elevation is clean from mortar marks etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Washing the exposed brickwork of layer of cement paint using fluoric acid solution in dilutions as specified. The area should be first be washed with clean potable water, then acid solution using soft wire brushes to prevent damaged to the surface, and finally all traces of acid removed with clean potable water, workers to be protected from exposure with masks, gloves. etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Teakwood wrought & putup for joist, beam, rafters and purlins,etc., which are in full length new member placed for supporting the Madras Terrace roof/ Mangalore tiles roof or any other area in all floor as directed by the departmental officers by using well seasoned superior quality and approved variety of teakwood for heritage building work including fixing of iron holdfasts incase of doors, windows and ventilators etc.,and excluding cost of holdfasts and making necessary size holes in the masonry to receive the ends of wooden joists, beams, etc., all fixtures and fastenings etc., complete. Item to include all moulding and chamber to be made as per original design indicated by the Engineer In Charge. (The rate includes the cost of teakwood, labour charges for wrought and putup to the existing clue/design, fixing in position to true alignment and gradient wherever necessary. Complying with standard specifications and as directed by the departmental officers (sample of teakwood to be shown to the Executive Engineer concerned for approval before use on work). Providing and fixing in position of cut stone bed blocks of size 1.20m x 0.50m x 0.20m using Cut stone for placing I-beams including cost of stone blocks,conveyance,lifting and placing in position as directed by the departmental officers.

Grouting and stiching the wide cracks at roof (Madras Terrace Roof ) using lime mortar 1:2 with pot pieces for filling up the cracks and the voids, creivices and gap etc.shall be completely sealed with necessary grouting pump. Supplying and fixing cuddapah stone sunshade arrangements using 40mm thick cuddapah slab inserted to existing wall surface and pointing the stone slab etc. The sunshade has to be proper support arragements like iron hook etc. The rate is inclusive cost of cuddapah slab, necessary dismantling the existing wall and redoing the same using necessary jointing materials, labour charges for fixing and necessary supporting arrangements of cuddapah sunshade etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Providing water membarane treatement to the leaky terrace using Synthetic Butadine Rubber sheet (SBR) including hacking the surfaces and roughening the old RCC roof surface with wire brushes and tools wherever necessary and the Synthetic Butadine Rubber sheet (SBR) has been laying before weathering course brick jelly concrete and with using necessary SBR adhesive to carefuly laying with proper joints ( the joints over lap to be not more than over lap 15cm to 20cm ) etc, including labour for laying the sheets etc complete including curing and finishing neatly complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Paving the floor with best approved quality fine polished Kota stone slabs of size 600 x 600 of 18 / 20mm with machine cut edges and matching marble slab not less than 100mm width other than Adanga Marbles as border laid over a cement mortar bed of 20mm thick using cement mortar 1:3 (One cement and three sand) fixing the slabs in true right angles with minimum possible width of joints and pointing the joints with white cement mixed with mathcing colouring pigments and polishing with floor polisher to a high degree of finish etc., The kota stone slabs and other materials to be used shall be got approved by the Executive Engineer concerned before use on work, etc., complete as per standard speicification.
Renewing and fixing of louvered shutters for windows of size 1.25x1.83m openable type by using well seasoned teakwood of superior quality and approved variety as per the original design and pattern instructed by the Engineer In Charge The window shutter is made of vertical styles of size 80mm x 30mm toprail, middle rail and bottom rail of size 80mm x 30mm , 150mm x 30mm, 80mm x 30mm respectively. The panels of window shutters is covered with teakwood planks as louvered type of size 150mm x 12mm of 7 nos. placed between top and lock rail and 7 nos. of louvered panels between lock and bottom rails. Therefore total number of louvered panels is 14 nos. in a single shutter and one number of teakwood scantling of size 35mm x 30mm in ornamental of existing style is provided of full height of louvered shutter for operating the louvered shutter including all necessary fittings brass/ steel hardwares like screws, nails, hinges, hooks, tower bolts, handles, aldrops of same design, size and weight, etc., complete. Renewing the damaged small domes by skilled sthapathy in bricks and ornamental works using lime mortar, special wheel pulley arrangement for lifting of material to the working platform, racking out dead lime mortar on the brick joints to a depth of 20mm without any damages to brick masonry and cleaning surface with coir brush and water, grouting and filleting the brick joints with the combination of lime mortar 1:3, gallnut and jaggery water after attending the cracks by toothing method including replacement of damaged bricks if necessary, the ornamental works by special skilled sthapathy by Special Chettinadu plaster with hand grinded lime mortar paste 10mm thick in lime mortar 1:1 (one of lime and one of sand) using fine river sand including curing neat finishing, the lime mortar used are to be fermented for ten days and required galnut and jaggery should be added as per ASI standards and mortar should be well ground using grinder before use on works, the ornamental works on the dome are completely documented for future refixing the same, the damaged ornamental sthapathy works on lime mortar alround the dome from base plastering using pebble stones, small brushes and chisels for restoring to the original design and painting the surface using natural dies, the rate inclusive of cost for erecting and dismantling after completing work by casuarinas post scaffolding, working platform, inspection for cracks and damages, grouting, filleting, brick pointing, base lime mortar plastering, documentation of existing design, etc., complete the cracks, damages, scaffolding erection, quality of materials, working times are as directed by the departmental officers.
Renewing with New Ornamantal (Heritage) (kalasavari) stone for damaged ornamantal stone. This stone is made layer by layer . Providing bottom based stone top 0.75 meter for the depth of 0.20meter. And another second layer of the stone for design of bottom square of 1.20m and top flower shape for the height of 0.40meter fixing over the bottom stone. and 3rd layer of the stone fixing over the flower design stone for height of 0.30mtr. And 4th layer fixing conical shape vertically round stone fixing. This stone bottom base around the length of 0.30 meter, middle 0.5mtr and top allound the length is 0.2mtr fixing for the height of 0.50mtr. This stone is forth layer and final layer and they wiil be fixing neatly with proper alignment. . This cost is inclusive of cost of handling charges and labour charges etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officer.
Making, supplying and fixing of stone balcony of size 3.50 x3.20m with stone for joist, beam, rafters and purlins, ornamental capital etc., which are in full length new member placed for supporting the stone balcony any other area in all floor as directed by the departmental officers by using well seasoned superior quality and approved variety of stone for heritage building work including fixing of iron holdfasts and making necessary size holes in the masonry to receive the ends of stone joists, beams, etc., all fixtures and fastenings etc., complete. as per original design and necessary groove arrangements are made in the sunshade and also include making all the mouldings and design of the panels as in the existing evidence of the balcony etc., and making stone jaffir work grill of size 930mmx900m and 40mm thickess with jaffri work in the bottom of the balcony and top of the roof and bottom stone flooring using with stone pillar width 150mm and thickness 25mm and fixing inposition in first floor level as per the existing evidence and style including carving ornamental capital and to include complete finishing work of the balcony as directed by the departmental officer . The rate inclusive of cost of all stone pavukkal materials, Labour charges for placing and carving of ornamental capital and stone work etc., complying with standard specifications.

Cleaning cut stones using mild hydrofloric acid and powder approved brand and quality using high pressure gage gun with compressor machine with necessary scrapping charges for old painting materials and other unwanted silt and dust after cleaning with smooth surface from bottom to top cut stone with good looking condition without any damage of the exisiting stone of the heritage building.The rate is inclusive of cost of materials, labour charges, transporting charges and hire charges for compressor machine and pressure gauge gan machine set with necessary lifting charges etc., complete as directed by the departmental officers.
Polishing the stone wall and column with two cots of water repellent solution of approved quality and brand including preparation of surface using high pressure water jet . The rate inclusive the cost of all materials, Labour charges and finishing neatly etc., complete as directed by the departmental officers.
Providing pest control with antitermite treatement drilling holes at junction of walls with floors at 300mm intervals and injucting chemical emulsion on those with cement etc. making holes along the vertical surface out side the walls at 150mm intervals to the depth of 450mm pointing chemical emulsion into the holes and closing holes with chemical etc. spraying all surface of treatment is to be done as per IS code no:5313/ Part III 1981 with approved chemical.(The chemical is to be used on the work should be got approved by the Executive Engineer before use on work) etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Providing temporary barricading arrangements alround the the site using PPGI sheet of 0.47mmthick shall be fixed in the frame for made out of required height using 50mmx50mm x2.60mm square MS tubes vertical strut placed and Horizental 32mmx32mmx2.60mm thick M.S. tubes at 1.20m interval with necessary scews and welding including cost of conveyance of all required materials to work site, erecting work, cost of J- bolts washers, cement concrete bed 45cmx45cmx90cm in Plain Cement concrete 1:2:4 and including labour charges etc complete., The barricading arranagements are made to prevent the entry of public into the site is very dangerous due to the fallen roof with necessary door arrangements for staffs and labour etc.,complete and as directed by the departmental officers. [The barricade will remain in the same location till the completion of the project and No additional charges shall be paid for the extended period of contract]
Collecting and disposing the stacked and dumped matetials like office old damaged unservicable Printing machineries, damaged and decayed wooden partitions, and office furnitures and coveyance for the inside of the building ( Ground floor to Fifth Floor) to shifted the inside of the Press building campus used specialized labour by head load with necessary preventive and precautionary measures with helmet, safety belts and ropes and necessary scaffolding arrangements for high wall height of the building 6.30m the waste materials are conveyed by Tipper lorries with help of JCB as on rerquired including hire charges for (JCB and Tipper) including Labour charages for head load conveyance etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Collecting the scattered debris from the campus and conveying away the same to outside by lorry to a lead of 9km including loading and unloading charges and dumping in low places and leveling etc., Complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
