Dismantling of Leaky weathering coarse materials and disposing the debris excluding erection of scaffolding and proper centering for the safety of labours etc., complete as per std. specification and as per the direction of dept. officials.

Carefully removing the out of plumb and damaged battlement stone around the roof as parapet including numbering the stones and convey to ground floor and stacking them in order for reuse etc., The battlement stone is on edge of roof and at first floor roof terrace etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Removal of the existing detoriated lime plastering over the wall, arches, domes and special type of ceiling of Madras terraced type roof carefully without disturbing or damaging the rafters, etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Racking out the brick joints of walls, arches, etc.,to a depth of approximately 5cm for a wall thickness of 45cm and above to remove the dead mortar in between the brick joints and cleaning the surface with coir brush and washed with pure water etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Clean removal of saline action over the stone pillars, brick wall etc., will paper pulp treatment by using floating paper, deionizer water, plastic bucket,coir, brush etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Removing the existing vegetation growth in the Building by way of uprooting the plants manually and then drilling with power driller up to the root depth of plants obtain a clean and neat drill so as to continuously inspect and remove left over roots of vegetation growths and to inject pesticides into the holes so as to prevent further growth of vegetation in the future to safeguard the country old heritage building etc. The cost including the cost of pesticides used, hire charges of injecting machine for injecting chemicals, cost of tools and all labour charges, etc., complete and complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Reconstruction of brick masonry wall with similar type of bricks in lime mortar 1:2 (one lime two sand) using wire cut brick of size 9"x4"x3" (Specially manufacturing) and using Pollachi lime in all floors as per traditional preparation and documented type construction such as arches and lintels, walls, etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Pointing , grouting and filleting the brick joint of wall and arches with lime mortar 1:2 (one of lime and two of sand) using Pollachi lime in all floors etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Carefully removing and scooped out the eroded and worn out bricks over the wall, arches and pillar etc and refixing and mending with similar bricks in lime mortar 1:2 (one of lime and two of sand) etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Strengthening the existing walls by providing grouting by formation of two holes of size 1" with required intervals - depth of 300mm for an area of 1 sq.m and depending upon the site conditions injecting lime slurry consisting of lime mortar 1:2 (one lime and two of sand) using Pollachi lime in all floors added with grouting admixture by 2% weight of lime, by using required equipment and the rate includes the cost of all materials, labour charges etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Replastering ( base plastering) the brick wall, pillars and arches, etc., with lime mortar 1:2 ( one of lime and two of sand) to a thickness of 30 mm laid in two layers of 15mm thick using Pollachi lime in all floors etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Applying thin coat of hand grinded lime mortar paste in lime mortar 1:1.5 (one lime and one and half sand) 6mm thick using Pollachi lime in all floors ( mix should be with 5.9 kg of jaggery, 2 kg of glue, 1.1 kg of gallnut, 1.4 kg of oakum, 30 nos eggs, 1 litre curd, 3 kg white marble powder, 0.5 kg vajram, 0.06m3 of surki, (for 10 sq.m area) of mugal plastering ( Theervai) over the newly plastered surface as per the existing clues (including finishing the surface with smoothness) `etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers. ( For inner walls)

Replastering the ceiling, etc., with Lime mortar 1:1.5 (one Lime and one and half sand), 20mm thick using Pollachi lime in all floors including labour charges, etc., complete complying with standard specifications as directed by the departmental officers.

Exposed brick work Pointing with Lime flush pointing in stone and brick with 1:1.5 lime mix after making surface to be pointed free from dust and durt the pointing should be commpacted well making sure that the brick surface in elevation is clean from mortar marks etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Washing the exposed brickwork of layer of cement paint using fluoric acid solution in dilutions as specified. The area should be first be washed with clean potable water, then acid solution using soft wire brushes to prevent damaged to the surface, and finally all traces of acid removed with clean potable water, workers to be protected from exposure with masks, gloves. etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Teakwood wrought & putup for joist, beam, rafters and purlins,etc., which are in full length new member placed for supporting the Madras Terrace roof/ Mangalore tiles roof or any other area in all floor as directed by the departmental officers by using well seasoned superior quality and approved variety of teakwood for heritage building work including fixing of iron holdfasts incase of doors, windows and ventilators etc.,and excluding cost of holdfasts and making necessary size holes in the masonry to receive the ends of wooden joists, beams, etc., all fixtures and fastenings etc., complete. Item to include all moulding and chamber to be made as per original design indicated by the Engineer In Charge. (The rate includes the cost of teakwood, labour charges for wrought and putup to the existing clue/design, fixing in position to true alignment and gradient wherever necessary. Complying with standard specifications and as directed by the departmental officers (sample of teakwood to be shown to the Executive Engineer concerned for approval before use on work). Application of Solignum on the wooden surface should also be done. In all floors

Providing and fixing in position of cut stone bed blocks of size 1.20m x 0.50m x 0.20m using Cut stone for placing I-beams including cost of stone blocks,conveyance,lifting and placing in position as directed by the departmental officers.

Supplying and fixing of best quality and approved variety of ISMB girder of required size and section of make TATA or equivalent of various span fixing below the madras terrace roof to support the roof in the places wherever necessary as directed by the departmental officers and fixed ISMB- grider ‘I’ Section over the bed blocks in the wall including cost of dismantling the brick work wherever necessary for fixing the ‘I’ Section and redoing the same and also the cost of ‘I’ Section labour charges hire charges for welding machineries, hoist for lifting and hire charges for hydraulic manuals Jacky and other allied tools etc., complete including the cost of porting of ISMB- grider ‘I’ section etc and one coat of red oxide primer etc., complete. The I beam has to be supported on brick wall using appropriate blocks so as to support the madras terrace roofing in all the floors etc., complete complying with standard specifications.(The make and brand of the ISMB girder I section should be got approved by the Executive Engineer before use on works).

Grouting and stiching the wide cracks at roof (Madras Terrace Roof ) using lime mortar 1:2 with pot pieces for filling up the cracks and the voids, creivices and gap etc.shall be completely sealed with necessary grouting pump. This pressure pump is to be used after cleaning the cracks, washing etc., and then the cracks are grouted with lime mortar 1:2 and it is allowed to be cured till final setting of lime mortar before taking up further leak proof treatment work etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officer.

Grouting and stitching the cracked wall and arches by toothing method including required special bricks of size 8"x4"x2" wherever necessary cutting of groove and fixing of key stone of size 900mmx230mmx200mm in horizontal and finishing the surface with lime mortor as per orginal etc. excluding errection of scaffolding all labour charges, etc., complete and complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Reconstruction of old available ornamental battlement stone in the papapet level in lime mortar 1:2(one of lime and two of sand) inposition around the terrace as per the existing evidence and including labour for lifting of ornamental battlement stone to roof terrace level etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officer.

Refixing the new ornamental parapet stone using Hard granite stone of size 0.38m x 0.15m and height about 0.90m with true alignment in both vertical and horizontal direction in missing places on parapet wall of heritage building, with base mortar as in the combination of lime mortar 1:3, gallnut and jaggery water for fixing on brick wall and adjacent stones, the base of stone is fixed on brick wall by means of cutting with hand chisel without any damages to wall and adjacent stones, the stone joints are to be filled with heated lead solution at a very high temperature up to a depth of 20mm neatly trimmed with a trowel and straight edges, the rate inclusive of cost of stone, lime mortar, making of thermocoal die, chiselling charges, transportation to site, lifting to terrace at a height about 15.80m from ground level, fixing in position, curing of lime mortar, lead pointing, etc., complete the location of fixing, shape, design and quality of stone are to be done as directed by the departmental officer.

Supplying and fixing cuddapah stone sunshade arrangements using 40mm thick cuddapah slab inserted to existing wall surface and pointing the stone slab etc. The sunshade has to be proper support arragements like iron hook etc. The rate is inclusive cost of cuddapah slab, necessary dismantling the existing wall and redoing the same using necessary jointing materials, labour charges for fixing and necessary supporting arrangements of cuddapah sunshade etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Providing water membarane treatement to the leaky terrace using Synthetic Butadine Rubber sheet (SBR) including hacking the surfaces and roughening the old RCC roof surface with wire brushes and tools wherever necessary and the Synthetic Butadine Rubber sheet (SBR) has been laying before weathering course brick jelly concrete and with using necessary SBR adhesive to carefuly laying with proper joints ( the joints over lap to be not more than over lap 15cm to 20cm ) etc, including labour for laying the sheets etc complete including curing and finishing neatly complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Finishing the top of roof with one course of machine pressed tiles of size 230mm x 230mm x 20mm of approved quality set in Cement Mortar 1:3 (One Cement and Three Sand) 12mm thick mixed with water proofing compound conforming to ISS at 2% by weight of cement used and the joints pointed neatly to full depth of tiles with the same cement mortar mixed with red oxide and water proofing compound including curing etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Finishing the top of roof surface using specially manufactured superior quality terrace tiles of size 150mmx150mmx20mm (nattu odu) for heritage works laid with Lime mortar 1:2 (one Lime and two sand). The Terrace tiles should be laid on such a manner with proper slope and gradient that the rain water gets discharged easily through rain water outlet pipes freely. The quality of lime to be procured from Pollachi shall be of best and high calcium oxide content quality etc complete.The rate including cost of all materials,Labour charges, lift arrangements, tranportation of material from Ground Floor to Third Floor by head load and finishing neatly etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers

Finishing the top of roof terrace tiles surface pointing with lime mortar 1:2 (one lime and two sand) mixed with Synthetic Butadine Rubber (SBR) polymer 2.50Litre per 50kg of lime used including finishing the surface neatly.The rate is including cost of all material,labour charges, raked up the joints and finishing neatly etc., Complete complying with standard specifications and as directed by Departmental officers.

Paving the floor with best approved quality fine polished Kota stone slabs of size 600 x 600 of 18 / 20mm with machine cut edges and matching marble slab not less than 100mm width other than Adanga Marbles as border laid over a cement mortar bed of 20mm thick using cement mortar 1:3 (One cement and three sand) fixing the slabs in true right angles with minimum possible width of joints and pointing the joints with white cement mixed with mathcing colouring pigments and polishing with floor polisher to a high degree of finish etc., The kota stone slabs and other materials to be used shall be got approved by the Executive Engineer concerned before use on work, etc., complete as per standard speicification.

Renewing and fixing of louvered shutters for windows of size 1.25x1.83m openable type by using well seasoned teakwood of superior quality and approved variety as per the original design and pattern instructed by the Engineer In Charge The window shutter is made of vertical styles of size 80mm x 30mm toprail, middle rail and bottom rail of size 80mm x 30mm , 150mm x 30mm, 80mm x 30mm respectively. The panels of window shutters is covered with teakwood planks as louvered type of size 150mm x 12mm of 7 nos. placed between top and lock rail and 7 nos. of louvered panels between lock and bottom rails. Therefore total number of louvered panels is 14 nos. in a single shutter and one number of teakwood scantling of size 35mm x 30mm in ornamental of existing style is provided of full height of louvered shutter for operating the louvered shutter including all necessary fittings brass/ steel hardwares like screws, nails, hinges, hooks, tower bolts, handles, aldrops of same design, size and weight, etc., complete. Necessary groove arrangements are made in the vertical style for fixing the louvered planks. Item to also include making all the mouldings and design of the panels as in the existing evidence. Item to include complete finishing of the shutters as directed by the departmental officers.The rate inclusive of cost of all teakwood materials, labour wrought and putup of window shutters, cost of all furniture fittings, labour charges for fixing the shutters in position etc., complete complying with standard specification.

Renewing and fixing teak wood panelled Door shutters openable type by using well seasoned teak wood of superior quality and approved variety as per the original design and pattern instructed by the Engineer in charge. The door shutter is made with two number of 120mmx40mm size vertical styles, top rail, lock rails and bottom rails of size 125mmx40mm,250mm x 40mm, 170mmx40mm respectively. The door shutter panels is covered with teak wood planks of 25mm thick including all necessary fittings brass/steel hardwares like screws, nails, hinges, hooks, tower bolts, handle, aldrops of same design, size etc complete. item to also include making all the mouldings and design of the panels as in the existing evidence. item to include complete finishing of the shutters as directed by the departmental officer. Renewing and fixing of glazed ventilator with new Teak wood glazed ventilator of size 1.20m x 0.60m by using Teak wood scanting thickness of size 0.04m frames fixed with 4mm thick pin headed glass including labour for wrought put up and fixing the ventilator in position with necessary furniture fittings including with neat finishing etc., complete complying with standard specifications and as directed by the departmental officers.

Providing colour glass panes with Mughal Emperor pattern Hitching ornmental jaffri work 5mm thick glass panes for fixed arch portion top of door ( Heritage pattend doors) of approved quality including fixing in position with TW beading all round the glass panes with nails etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Painting new iron works such as steel doors, windows, ventilators, window bars, balustrades etc., with two coats of best approved first quality and colour of synthetic enamel paint over the existing red oxide priming coat in all floors excluding cost of priming coat etc., complete complying with standard specification. (The make, quality and colour of paint should be got approved by the Executive Engineer before use on works.)

Revarnishing with old/ new wood work with two coats of best melamine varnish of approved quality and brand including preparation of surface etc.. The rate is inclusive the cost of all material, labour charges and finishing neatly etc., complete compluing with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Supplying and filling in foundation and basement with M-sand filling in layer not more than 15cm thick with flooring including dewatering wherever necessary and laid in layers well rammed, consolidated etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Strengthening of the brick foundation of the wall with similar type of bricks by the method of mending / under pinning/ grouting etc., as per the existing clues with lime mortar 1:2, (one of lime and two of sand) etc., including scooping out the eroded/ damaged brick and cleaning the surface etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Laying Brick jelly lime concrete in lime mortar 1:2 ( One lime and two brick jelly ) (no sand to be added) using 20 mm gauge brick jelly for foundation, flooring including dewatering wherever necessary and laid in layers well rammed, consolidated etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Providing two legged scaffolding using 48.30mm dia heavy duty MS pipe over all height of 3.00m the distance between 2 legs being 1.25m and the spacing of the post being 2m in each rows and providing platform with C.W. planks using 40mm thick silver oak and 1.00m wide in complete form with horizontal bracings @ 1.50m c/c vertical direction and with cross bracings using same 48.30mm dia including cutting, threading assembly with red oxide primer, labour charges cost of specials such on large plate, shoe, carcher, coupling, bolt and nut transportation charges. The bottom of vertical post shall rest on 300x300x70mm 1:2:4 concrete base etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Painting two coats of ready mixed Exterior emulsion paint of first class quality and of approved colour over a priming coat including thorough scrapping, clean removal of dirt, and including necessary plaster of paris putty, wherever required etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmetal officers.

Supplying and fixing in position of Shade Net (Green Net) using vertical protection for under construction / High-rise building. The net standard size is 3mx50m &5mx50m. The rate is inclusive cost of Agro Shade Net, binding wire(or) cable tie, Labour charges for fixing in position and neatly etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Labour charges for supplying and fixing of hoisting machine by hire basis for lifting of all materials from ground to terrace and shifting of damaged unused materials from terrace to ground floor with necessary rope, heisting platform, motor, controller as per site requirement days etc., the rate is inclusive of hire charges for machine, labour charges for operating the machine and daily Bata and conveyance charges and dismantling and removing the same after completion of work etc complete with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Construction of mortar pit of inner size 0.90m x 0.45m with brick partition wall 11.50cm thick in cement mortar 1:3 (one cement and three sand) for 60cm height with necessary earth work open excavation for a size of 1.43m x 0.98m to a depth of 0.91m and sand filling for 15cm thick, Plain Cement Concrete 1:5:10 (one cement, five sand and ten 40mm HBG stone jelly), 8cm thick with plastering 1:5 (one cement and sand), 12mm thick on both sides and top etc., complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Renewing the damaged ornamental cornice around the outer wall cornice portion as per existing style and clues to a height of 0.25m with top and bottom width of 0.28m and 0.08m respectively including removing the brick work and redoing the brick work in lime mortar 1:2 (one of lime and two of sand) and plastering with lime mortar 1:2 (one of lime and two of sand) 30mm thick laid in two layers and finishing with lime mortar 1:1.5 (one lime and one and half sand) 6mm thick (Theeravai) using Pollachi lime in all floors etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Renewing the damaged small domes by skilled sthapathy in bricks and ornamental works using lime mortar, special wheel pulley arrangement for lifting of material to the working platform, racking out dead lime mortar on the brick joints to a depth of 20mm without any damages to brick masonry and cleaning surface with coir brush and water, grouting and filleting the brick joints with the combination of lime mortar 1:3, gallnut and jaggery water after attending the cracks by toothing method including replacement of damaged bricks if necessary, the ornamental works by special skilled sthapathy by Special Chettinadu plaster with hand grinded lime mortar paste 10mm thick in lime mortar 1:1 (one of lime and one of sand) using fine river sand including curing neat finishing, the lime mortar used are to be fermented for ten days and required galnut and jaggery should be added as per ASI standards and mortar should be well ground using grinder before use on works, the ornamental works on the dome are completely documented for future refixing the same, the damaged ornamental sthapathy works on lime mortar alround the dome from base plastering using pebble stones, small brushes and chisels for restoring to the original design and painting the surface using natural dies, the rate inclusive of cost for erecting and dismantling after completing work by casuarinas post scaffolding, working platform, inspection for cracks and damages, grouting, filleting, brick pointing, base lime mortar plastering, documentation of existing design, etc., complete the cracks, damages, scaffolding erection, quality of materials, working times are as directed by the departmental officers.

Renewing with New Ornamantal (Heritage) (kalasavari) stone for damaged ornamantal stone. This stone is made layer by layer . Providing bottom based stone top 0.75 meter for the depth of 0.20meter. And another second layer of the stone for design of bottom square of 1.20m and top flower shape for the height of 0.40meter fixing over the bottom stone. and 3rd layer of the stone fixing over the flower design stone for height of 0.30mtr. And 4th layer fixing conical shape vertically round stone fixing. This stone bottom base around the length of 0.30 meter, middle 0.5mtr and top allound the length is 0.2mtr fixing for the height of 0.50mtr. This stone is forth layer and final layer and they wiil be fixing neatly with proper alignment. . This cost is inclusive of cost of handling charges and labour charges etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officer.

Making, supplying and fixing of stone balcony of size 3.50 x3.20m with stone for joist, beam, rafters and purlins, ornamental capital etc., which are in full length new member placed for supporting the stone balcony any other area in all floor as directed by the departmental officers by using well seasoned superior quality and approved variety of stone for heritage building work including fixing of iron holdfasts and making necessary size holes in the masonry to receive the ends of stone joists, beams, etc., all fixtures and fastenings etc., complete. as per original design and necessary groove arrangements are made in the sunshade and also include making all the mouldings and design of the panels as in the existing evidence of the balcony etc., and making stone jaffir work grill of size 930mmx900m and 40mm thickess with jaffri work in the bottom of the balcony and top of the roof and bottom stone flooring using with stone pillar width 150mm and thickness 25mm and fixing inposition in first floor level as per the existing evidence and style including carving ornamental capital and to include complete finishing work of the balcony as directed by the departmental officer . The rate inclusive of cost of all stone pavukkal materials, Labour charges for placing and carving of ornamental capital and stone work etc., complying with standard specifications.

Supplying and fixing MS grills for doors, windows and ventilators of approved design and as directed by the departmental officers including cost of MS grills labour charges and cost of one of red oxide primer coat etc., complete complying with std. specification.

Cleaning cut stones using mild hydrofloric acid and powder approved brand and quality using high pressure gage gun with compressor machine with necessary scrapping charges for old painting materials and other unwanted silt and dust after cleaning with smooth surface from bottom to top cut stone with good looking condition without any damage of the exisiting stone of the heritage building.The rate is inclusive of cost of materials, labour charges, transporting charges and hire charges for compressor machine and pressure gauge gan machine set with necessary lifting charges etc., complete as directed by the departmental officers.

Polishing the stone wall and column with two cots of water repellent solution of approved quality and brand including preparation of surface using high pressure water jet . The rate inclusive the cost of all materials, Labour charges and finishing neatly etc., complete as directed by the departmental officers.

Providing pest control with antitermite treatement drilling holes at junction of walls with floors at 300mm intervals and injucting chemical emulsion on those with cement etc. making holes along the vertical surface out side the walls at 150mm intervals to the depth of 450mm pointing chemical emulsion into the holes and closing holes with chemical etc. spraying all surface of treatment is to be done as per IS code no:5313/ Part III 1981 with approved chemical.(The chemical is to be used on the work should be got approved by the Executive Engineer before use on work) etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Providing temporary barricading arrangements alround the the site using PPGI sheet of 0.47mmthick shall be fixed in the frame for made out of required height using 50mmx50mm x2.60mm square MS tubes vertical strut placed and Horizental 32mmx32mmx2.60mm thick M.S. tubes at 1.20m interval with necessary scews and welding including cost of conveyance of all required materials to work site, erecting work, cost of J- bolts washers, cement concrete bed 45cmx45cmx90cm in Plain Cement concrete 1:2:4 and including labour charges etc complete., The barricading arranagements are made to prevent the entry of public into the site is very dangerous due to the fallen roof with necessary door arrangements for staffs and labour etc.,complete and as directed by the departmental officers. [The barricade will remain in the same location till the completion of the project and No additional charges shall be paid for the extended period of contract]

Collecting and disposing the stacked and dumped matetials like office old damaged unservicable Printing machineries, damaged and decayed wooden partitions, and office furnitures and coveyance for the inside of the building ( Ground floor to Fifth Floor) to shifted the inside of the Press building campus used specialized labour by head load with necessary preventive and precautionary measures with helmet, safety belts and ropes and necessary scaffolding arrangements for high wall height of the building 6.30m the waste materials are conveyed by Tipper lorries with help of JCB as on rerquired including hire charges for (JCB and Tipper) including Labour charages for head load conveyance etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Collecting the scattered debris from the campus and conveying away the same to outside by lorry to a lead of 9km including loading and unloading charges and dumping in low places and leveling etc., Complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
