PART - A : COATING

Providing and applying four coat painting system of: 1) First coat Polyamide cured Epoxy primer for DFT of 50-60 microns, 2) Second coat with Epoxy MIO for a DFT of 100-120 microns, 3) Third coat with Epoxy Top-coat for a DFT of 100-110 microns, 4) Fourth coat with Aliphatic polyurethene sealer coat. Including scaffoldings, temporary working platforms required if any, all men, machineries tools and tackles required. The application procedure should be strictly based on the manufacturer's specification. Any unsoundness in the concrete shall be repaired as per the direction of EIC. (Repairing of the surfaces before treatment will be paid extra under relevant item)

PART - B : REPAIR WORKS

Removing/ chipping up to 40 mm average depth and cleaning of existing loose concrete carefully by manual or low impact frequency hammer including cleaning the surfaces by compressed air jet complete including removing loose concrete around the reinforcement the entire surface will be checked by light hammering (using 1 kg hammer) for detection of loose concrete. Edges of chipped patch shall bear vertical reverse cut with minimum depth at edges as 10 mm. ( prepared patches to be got checked before appliying bond coat) all loose/sound concrete around corroded bar has to be removed to prepare well defined patch.

Cleaning of reinforcement of total rust including from behind the reinforcing bars to give it totally rust free finished steel surface by manual method / sand blasting or by using approved rust remover wherever required (cost of rust remover included). For measurement, surface area of repair work will be taken.

Anticorrosive treatment to exposed reinforcement in two coats using approved anticorrosive zinc based primer. For measurement, square metre of concrete area for repairs is considered

Building up the profile of structure members up to 12mm average depth by using emulsified SBR latex or equivalent product. Mix ratio as per product data sheet in 10-15 mm thick layers including leveling profiling complete. polypropylene fibers to be added to reduce shrinkage. Proper curing has to be ensured. For measurement, patch area of repair work will be taken. This item includes the cost of bonding agent to be applied in between the layers of repair mortar. (Cement used shall satisfy requirements of OPC 43 grade).
