Scarifying or picking premix carpet SDAC surfaces to a depth not exceeding 40mm with suitable mechanical equipment using milling process complete all as specified and as directed.

The material as retrieved vide this item shall be taken on credit by the contractor.

Repairs to potholes any depth not exceeding 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths etc., cutting around edges to atleast 25mm in depth, making good by filling in screened and graded road metal (including provision of road metal), watering and well ramming complete all as specified and as directed.

Preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc., complete all as specified and as directed.

Applying evenly using pressure sprayer a priming / tack coat with bituminous primer of paving bitumen of Grade VG-30 at 5 kg / 10 Sqm over bituminous surfaces complete all as specified and as directed.

Bituminous premix semi-dense asphaltic concrete (SDAC), 40mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix, (paving bitumen VG-30) and filler of 2 % cement, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete using mechanical paver and rolled to a uniform, smooth surface using Tandem vibratory roller complete all as specified and as directed.

(a) Contractor shall quote his rate by considering 5.5% bitumen content. If it is less than 5.5% by weight of total mix, the amount shall be recovered for the less weight of binder only at the rate of Rs 42/- per Kg if technically acceptable. No other claim whatsoever on account of this will be allowed.

(b) No price adjustment shall be applicable if excess quantity of binder content is used / approved in the execution of work under this item.

(c) Cement shall be used as filler at a minimum of 2% by weight of total mix. In the event of variation in the mix design in the percentage of filler content on plus side, nothing extra shall be paid.

(d) The coarse aggregate for SDAC shall be granite stone.

Premix Dense Bituminous Macadam (DBM), as in profile layer, with grading 2 of IRC laid in layers of 75mm or less (consolidated) thickness using 4.0% binder content by weight of total mix, with paving bitumen of grade VG-30 using hot mix plant spread, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete using mechanical paver and rolled to a uniform, smooth surface using Tandem vibratory roller complete all as specified and as directed.

Notes:-

(a) Contractor shall quote his rate by considering 4.0% bitumen content. If it is less than 4.0% by weight of total mix, the amount shall be recovered for the less weight of binder only at the rate of Rs 42/- per Kg if technically acceptable. No other claim whatsoever on account of this will be allowed.

(b) No price adjustment shall be applicable if excess quantity of binder content is used / approved in the execution of work under this item.

(c) Each layer shall be rolled and consolidated separately.

(d) DBM shall be as per MORTH specifications including minimum binder content mention therein and as detailed in particular specifications.

(e) Supply and mixing of hydrated lime or cement or both in case TSR is less than 80% is deemed to be included rate quoted.

(f) The marshall stability shall be a minimum of 900 kg.

(g) The coarse aggregate for DBM shall be granite stone.

Preparing road surface including cleaning the road surface of all dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign material etc and applying 2.5mm thick road marking strips (Retro reflective) of specified shade/colour using hot thermoplastic material conforming to IS-164(1981) by fully automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser including glass beads, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater, driven by experienced operator in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions all as per BS EN 1871, BS EN 1423 and BS EN 1424 complete as specified and directed.

Removing old CAT eyes and taking on credit and provision of new Duo directional CAT eyes (Road studs) of size 100mmx110mmx20mm made up of weather resistant high impact polymer conforming to ASTM D4280 and having electronically welded micro prismatic lens with abrasion resistant coating and fixed with 2 Nos of polymer shanks and epoxy adhesive conforming to IS as per manufacturer’s instructions as in repairs complete all as specified and directed.

Make shall of Cat No. DA-52 of Dark Eye or equivalent of makes as listed here-in-after as approved by GE.

Removing old Solar studs and taking on credit and provision of new Solar studs made out of aluminium composite body (of load capacity 20 Tonne) fixed with bright LEDs 3 Nos (RED) on each side, size 125mmx125mmx25mm and shank 65mm, with battery of Li / Cd and to be fixed using adhesive as per manufacturer’s instructions complete all as specified and directed.

Removing old speed bump and taking on credit and provision of new Yellow and black plastic speed bump made of PE material, highly reflective reflector mould in PMMA, material welded with plate through ultrasonic welding process etc, size of sub unit of the speed bump 500mmx365mmx50mm, dovetail interlocked to bind perfectly into one firm bump of 40 ton load capacity with end cap on road including epoxy for fixing speed bumps with necessary bolts/nuts etc., as per manufacturer’s instructions as in repairs complete all as specified and directed.

Removing old reflective delineator and taking on credit and provision of new MS round pipe retro reflective delineator with protection cage fixed on pedestal 300mm x 300mm x 450mm, of PCC 1:2:4, type B1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate duly anchored in ground on various locations as per manufacturer’s instructions and finished with plastering 10mm thick in CM 1:6, finished with white wash three coats after preparing surface as in repairs complete all as specified and directed.

Removing old Solar delineator and taking on credit and provision of new Solar delineator fixed on pedestal 300mm x 300mm x 450mm, of PCC 1:2:4, type B1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate duly anchored in ground on various locations as per manufacturer’s instructions and finished with plastering 10mm thick in CM 1:6, finished with white wash three coats after preparing surface as in repairs complete all as specified and directed.

Removing old traffic mirror and taking on credit and provision of new Convex traffic mirror 800mm size fixed on MS pipe of 100mm dia, base plate and height 1000mm fixed on pedestal 300mm x 300mm x 600mm, of PCC 1:2:4, type B1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate duly anchored in ground on various locations as per manufacturer’s instructions and finished with plastering 10mm thick in CM 1:6, finished with white wash three coats after preparing surface as in repairs complete all as specified and directed.
