Earthwork in open Excavation for Road work by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) / manual means over areas in all types of soil, mixture of gravel, disintegrated rock, hard stiff clay, etc., including trimming bottom and side slopes in accordance with requirements of lines, grades and cross sections, preparation and consolidation of sub-grade with power road roller of 8 to 12 tonne capacity after excavating earth, making good the undulations with earth and rerolling the sub-grade, disposal of surplus earth with in a lead upto 50 metres, etc., all completed as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

All kinds of soil upto 1.50mtr depth

Providing gravel base of approved thickness including supplying gravel, spreading gravel in uniform layers, watering, ramming, consolidating, dressing the top surface to the required level, etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and laying of Wet Mix Macadam (WMM) for Sub-base and base course conforming to clause 406 of MORT&H Specification for road and bridge works (Fifth Revision) using 53mm downgraded stone aggregate including cost of coarse aggregates, fine aggregate, premixing the Material with water at OMC in mechanical mix plant, carriage of mixed Material by tipper to site, laying in uniform layers with paver/motor grader in sub-base / base course on well prepared surface and compacting with vibratory roller to achieve the desired density, etc., all as per specification and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and applying primer coat with bitumen emulsion (SS1 grade conforming to IS 8887) on prepared surface of granular base including clearing of road surface and spraying primer at the rate of 0.75 Kg/Sq.m using mechanical bitumen distributor, etc., all complete as per specification and as directed by Engineer.

Providing and laying of Bituminous Macadam layer conforming to clause 504 (Grading II) of MORT&H specification for road and bridge works (Fifth Revision) using VG30 grade bitumen with minimum bitumen content of 3.4 % by mass of total mix, including cost of coarse aggregates, fine aggregates, bitumen etc., preheating and mixing at hot mix plant, cleaning of the road surface before laying the mix, application of tack coat, carrying the hot premixed materials by means of tipper, laying the hot premixed material with paver finisher, rolling with power roller with necessary hand packing and pinning to give an even surface and to achieve the desired compaction, including running expenses of all plants and machineries and proper traffic control during execution, quality control tests at required interval, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge. Note: - 1) Cleaning the road surface shall be carried out with wire brush, sweeping with mechanical broom and dusting by using compressed air as per specifications. 2) Cost of Tack coat will be paid for separately under relevant item. 3) Pre-heating of the mineral aggregate and bitumen to the specified temperature, thoroughly mixing with binder of specified bitumen content as per mix design shall be carried out at hot mix plant of specified capacity as per MORT&H Specifications. 4) Carrying the hot premixed materials by means of tipper, trucks or any other approved means to laying site. Laying the hot premixed material over the prepared surface by means of paver finisher including manual operation as and when required for proper grade, level and camber.

Grading-II (19 mm nominal size) for 50-75mm Layer thick

Supplying and spraying of Tack coat using bituminous emulsion (RS conforming to IS 8887) at the rate of 0.25 Kgs. per Sq.m. on the prepared granular surface including cleaning with wire brushes, small pick axes sweeping with brooms or soft brush and finally dusting with old gunny bags and compressed air to receive bituminous treatment all complete as per specification and as directed.

Providing and laying of Bituminous Concrete layer conforming to clause 507 (Grading II) of MORT&H Specification for road and bridge works (Fifth revision) using VG30 grade bitumen with minimum bitumen content of 5.4 % by mass of total mix, including cost of coarse aggregates, fine aggregates, bitumen etc., preheating and mixing at hot mix plant, cleaning of the road surface before laying the mix, application of tack coat, carrying the hot premixed materials by means of tipper, laying the hot premixed material with paver finisher, rolling with power roller with necessary hand packing and pinning to give an even surface and to achieve the desired compaction, spreading Quarry Dust, including running expenses of all plants and machineries and proper traffic control during execution, quality control tests at required interval, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

Grading-II (13.2 mm nominal size) for 30-40mm Layer thick Note: - 1) Cleaning the road surface shall be carried out with wire brush, sweeping with mechanical broom and dusting by using compressed air as per specifications. 2) Cost of Tack coat will be paid for separately under relevant item. 3) Pre-heating of the mineral aggregate and bitumen to the specified temperature, thoroughly mixing with binder of specified bitumen content and filler as per mix design shall be carried out at hot mix plant of specified capacity as per MORT&H Specifications 4) Waste Plastic (Dry Process) : Cost shall be inclusive of collection of waste plastics, cleaning & shredding, shredding machine and mixing of waste plastics with aggregate in hot mix plant as per specifications and conforming to IRC:SP:98-2013 5) Carrying the hot premixed materials by means of tipper, trucks or any other approved means to laying site. Laying the hot premixed material over the prepared surface by means of paver finisher including manual operation as and when required for proper grade, level and camber. 6) Supply and evenly spreading of Quarry Dust over the finished layer and cleaning the same, removing small stones before allowing traffic on road.

Grading-II (13.2 mm nominal size) for 30-40mm Layer thick with Waste Plastic (Dry process using 6-8 % of plastic by weight of bitumen) Note:- 1) Cleaning the road surface shall be carried out with wire brush, sweeping with mechanical broom and dusting by using compressed air as per specifications. 2) Cost of Tack coat will be paid for separately under relevant item. 3) Pre-heating of the mineral aggregate and bitumen to the specified temperature, thoroughly mixing with binder of specified bitumen content and filler as per mix design shall be carried out at hot mix plant of specified capacity as per MORT&H Specifications 4) Waste Plastic (Dry Process) : Cost shall be inclusive of collection of waste plastics, cleaning & shredding, shredding machine and mixing of waste plastics with aggregate in hot mix plant as per specifications and conforming to IRC:SP:98-2013 5) Carrying the hot premixed materials by means of tipper, trucks or any other approved means to laying site. Providing and laying Bitumen Mastic Asphalt over bridge deck slab with paving grade bitumen meeting the requirements given in table 500-39, prepared by using mastic cooker and laid to required level and slope after cleaning the surface, including aggregate and fillers heated in a mastic cocker to temperature of 170 to 210°c, bitumen shall be heated to 170 to 180°c, the heated aggregate, filler and bitumen shall be mixed and cooked for about 3 hours, laying, finishing etc., all complete as per specification and as directed by Engineer - In - Charge. Note:- 1) The work shall be executed with skilled manpower of specialized mastic flooring agencies. 2) Bitumen content shall be 14 - 17% by mass of the total mastics (Table 500-42). 3) The rates for 40 mm & 30 mm thick layers may be worked out on pro-rata basis. 4) Where tack coat is required to be provided before laying mastic asphalt, the same is required to be measured and paid separately. 5) The main contractor shall associates with specialized agency to carryout this item who have successfully completed similar type of work. The main contractor has to submit the credentials of the specialized agency for approval prior to commencement of this item. The Engineer - In - charge shall be the final authority for approval of specialized agency.

Providing and laying in position of plain cement concrete using hard granite broken stone for all insitu levelling courses in foundations, floor, roof screeding, encasing pipes, etc., including mechanical mixing, ramming, compaction, levelling, curing, dewatering, if any including the cost of formwork etc., all complete as per specifications.

1 : 5 : 10 (1 cement : 5 sand : 10 graded stone aggregate 20/25mm nominal size)

Providing and laying Random Rubble masonry in Cement mortar 1 : 6 (1 cement: 6 coarse sand) in foundation and plinth using hard granite stones obtained from approved quarry including bond stones of 2 Nos/Sq.m at 1.5 to 1.8 mtrs apart, raking out joints, curing, etc., all as per standard specification.

Providing and laying Random Rubble masonry in Cement mortar 1 : 6 (1 cement: 6 coarse sand) in above plinth for compound wall using hard granite stones obtained from approved quarry including bond stones of 2 Nos/Sq.m at 1.5 to 1.8 mtrs apart, raking out joints, sunk / flush pointing in CM 1:3 , scaffolding, forming grooves wherever required, curing, etc., all as per standard specification.

Providing and laying brick masonry in Cement Mortar 1:6 with well burnt chamber bricks / FALG Bricks of approved quality in all shapes and sizes including scaffolding, curing, raking out joints, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Upto FFL

Providing, cutting, bending, placing and binding steel reinforcement using TMT bars of Fe-500 / Fe-500D grade in all reinforced cement concrete works including cutting, bending, fixing, tieing in position with 1.6 mm dia soft drawn annealed binding wire, cost of cover blocks in C.M 1:2, etc., complete as per specifications and drawings. Important Note: The required quantity of steel reinforcement as mentioned in the schedule should be procured by the contractor only of SAIL, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (VIZAG), TATA Steel & JINDAL from authorised dealers which shall conform to IS: 1786 (Latest Edition).

Plastering with Cement Mortar 1:5, 12mm thick for brickwork / Concrete on its external faces at all lifts including scaffolding, curing and forming grooves wherever necessary all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in­charge. [Note: 6mm premium glass fibre of make Dugar & Co or Recron shall be mixed with Cement @ 60 gms of glass fibre per 50kgs of cement]

Providing and laying factory made precast Kerb stone of M-20 grade cement concrete of size 100mm thick & 500mm ± 50mm depth with suitable interlocking arrangement, top chamfering of size 50x70 mm or as approved size including excavation, conveying, laying the precast kerb blocks in position to the required line, level and curvature, making joints with or without grooves (thickness of joints except at sharp curve shall not to more than 5mm), jointing / pointing the joints with cement mortar 1:3, refilling the sides, compacting, making drainage opening wherever required, etc., all complete as per specification and as directed. (Note: Length of finished Kerb edging shall be measured for payment and Precast kerb stone shall be approved by Engineer-in-charge.)

Providing and laying 60mm thick factory made chamfered edge prefabricated cement concrete interlocking Solid / perforated paver block of M-30 grade made by table vibratory method using PU moulded with strong vibratory compaction of approved size, design, shape, laid in required colour and pattern over 50mm thick compacted bed of coarse sand including cost of sand filling, levelling with required slope, ramming the surface, watering, consolidation using vibratory earth rammers, filling the joints with sand, cleaning, etc., all complete as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in­charge.

Providing, hoisting and fixing in position of following thickness of precast slabs in cement concrete 1:2:4 using hard broken stones of maximum size 20mm finished smooth of various sizes and patterns including necessary formwork and moulds, mechanical mixing, finishing the exposed surface, curing, fixing at all levels, grouting with CM / Cement grout wherever required, etc., all complete excluding cost of reinforcement which will be measured separately under relevant item as per specifications and as direction of the Engineer-in-charge.

75 mm thick precast slab.

Cutting and felling trees of the girth (measured at a height of 1m above ground level) including cutting of trunks, branches, removing the roots, stacking of serviceable materials and disposal of unserviceable materials within a lead of 200m including filling the pits and depression with excavated earth, etc., all as directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

Beyond 300mm girth upto and including 600mm girth.

Beyond 600mm girth upto and including 1200mm girth.

Supplying laying and jointing of RCC hume pipes with collars of class NP-2 as per IS specifications including aligning to proper level and line as directed at site, jointing with Cement Mortar 1:2, curing, etc., complete as per specification.

Laying at old kerb stones of all types in position to the required line, level and curvature, jointed with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand), including making joints with or without grooves (thickness of joints, except at sharp curve, shall not be more than 5 mm), including making drainage opening wherever required etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. (Length of finished kerb edging shall be measured for payment). (Old kerb stones shall be supplied by the department free of cost)

Laying old cement concrete interlocking paver blocks of any design/ shape laid in required line, level, curvature, colour and pattern over and including taking out existing CC interlocking paver blocks from footpath/ central verge, removal of rubbish, providing 50 mm thick compacted bed of sand, filling the joints with fine sand etc. all complete as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge. (Note: Old CC paver blocks shall be supplied by the Department free of cost)

Taking out existing kerb stones of all types from footpath/ central verge, including removal of mortar etc., disposal of unserviceable material to the dumping ground, for which payment shall be made separately and stacking of serviceable material within 50 metre lead as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Taking out existing CC interlocking paver blocks from footpath/ central verge, including removal of rubbish etc., disposal of unserviceable material to the dumping ground, for which payment shall be made separately and stacking of serviceable material within 50 metre lead as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge

Dismantling RR Masonry in cement mortar at all lifts including stacking of RR stone, clearing and depositing the debris within a distance of 100 metres all as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Dismantling Brick work in cement mortar at all lifts including clearing and depositing the debris within a distance of 100 metres all as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Dismantling the existing bitumen mastic asphalt wearing surface from bridge deck using suitable manual/mechanical methods and care should be taken to avoid any damage to the existing structure including removing the loose concrete/reinforcement if any located in the deck slab and existing expansion joint assemblies carefully along the entire width of the carriage way disposal of debris within 1 Km lead etc., all complete as per specification and as directed by Engineer - In - Charge.

Disposal of surplus excavated earth / Debris by collecting, loading, transporting by mechanical means and unloading them at places as shown by the Department within a lead specified below and levelling, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: 1) The rates in respect of this item are applicable for the NET Quantities arrived at after making deductions for voids @ 20% in respect of soil and @ 50% in respect of rock from the corresponding stack / truck measurements. 2) The earth shall be dumped well inside the dumping yard and not over approach pathway road.
