Rectification of existing defective flanged joints with rubber or fibre gasket complete with necessary nuts, bolts and washers for 100 mm dia GI/DI/MS pipes complete all as directed. Note:- a) quoted rates are inclusive of cutting of GI/DI/MS Pipes, jointing materials and preparation of new flanged sockets and refixing the same at existing place. Comprehensive maintenance/ repair of Ultra filteration,Tertiary treatment plant of capacity 3000 LPH, the plant comprising of the followings:- PLC based fully automatic Ultra filteration system, suitable for maximum feed flow rate of 3.75 cum/hr and 80% recovery with 8 inch membranes - 02 Nos, Feed pump 4 cum/hr 3 phase, 1.5 HP rating, Ultra Filteration back flush centrifugal pump 25 mtr head, 50 LPM, 3 phase 1.5HP rating, Hcl dozing system with pump capacity 6 LPH single phase 0.5HP rating with auto level control and sychronised with PLC, NaOH dozing system with pump capacity 6 LPH single phase 0.5HP rating with auto level control and sychronised with PLC, NaOCl dozing system with pump capacity 6 LPH single phase 0.5HP rating with auto level control and sychronised with PLC, Instrument air line to Ultra Filteration panel 5.5 to 6.0 Kg/Sqcm, Air compressor of pressure 7 Kg/sqcm capacity 2 HP, 3 CFM with tank of capacity 160Ltrs complete with control panel board complete.
(i) The quality of water input and output shall be maintained as under:- (A) The quality of sewage treated water from STP to be supplied:- (a) Turbidity 15 NTU (b) BOD: 15 PPM (c) COD: 60PPM (d) Feed Flow rate 3.75 cum/hr
(B) The quality of treated water After tertiary Treatment:- (a) TSS : less 5 mg/Ltr (b) Turbidity -Less than1 NTU (c) BOD : Less than10mg/Ltr (d) COD : Less than 30mg/Ltr (e) Oil & Grease less than 10mg/Ltr (f) Output 3.0cum/hr
(ii) The following Daily Maitnenace to be carried out IN ultra filteration plant :- (a) Treated water (STP) chamber and foot valve should be cleaned every day to ensure that it’s not chocked . (b) Cleaning of Oil & Grease trap. (c) Routine maintenace of the pumps ie., Treated water feed pump,Chemical wash feed pump, Filtered water feed pump including greasing and lubricating . (d) Maintain disinfection liqvid in Hcl , NaOH & NaOcl dozing system. (e) Cleaning chemical Back wash & rinse simultaneously. (f) Check pre- filters and cleaned properly. (g) Check air compressor oil level & tightening of belt, If necessary replace it. (h) Check auto level sensor and cleaned properly
(iii) The following weekly maintenance to be carried out in Ultra filteration plant:- (a) Inspect chemical dozing tanks and STP treated water tank & filtered water tank. (b) Grease all bearings. (c) Grease all chain couplings through casing nipples. (d) Drain gearbox oil and replace also check holding plate bolts. (e) Check shaft for wear and alignment. (f) Check bearings for wear and tear and check holding down bolts for tightness.
(iv) The following monthly Maintenace to be carried out in Ultra filteration plant :- (a) Check motor for overheating (by touch) and remove dust etc. from air fins. (b) Grease all bearings through nipples. (c) Grease all couplings through casing nipples. (d) Check oil level in Air compressor and top up if necessary. (e) Apply light lubricating oil in small quantities to locks and hinges (f) Check all comressed air release valves should be cleaned and oiled. (g) Check and calibrate the instruments including on line monitor and submit report (h) Check dozing pump and repair/service if necessary (j) Cleaning of all chemical back wash storage tank, Ultra filteration treated water tank on periodically
(v) The following items for routine maintenance shall be provided in the plant :- (a) Hypo - 44 Ltrs per month (b) HCL - 09 Ltrs per month (c) NaOH - 15 Ltrs per month (d) Membranes - 02 Nos per year (e) Lab chemicals - 01 Lot per month (f) Safety Gadgets (Gloves, Eye Glass, Helmets, Safety Jackets) as per requirements. (g) Cleaning Chemicals - 10 Ltrs.per month
(vi) The following items shall be replaced as and when required or as directed by the Engr-in-Charge :- (a) Gaskets, Gland Packing (b) O rings (c) Drive belts for air compressor (d) Minor electrical accessories viz Indication lamps, fuses etc. (e) Blades (f) Consumables respirators etc (g) Reagents, Lubricants etc (h) Pasting materials.
Note for Item No 3 : Provide the following Technical services and the quoted rate deemed to be inclusive of the followings:- (i) The tenderer shall visit the site/ plant beforing quoting the tender.
(ii) The contractor shall made a MOU with the original manufacturer of the plant or their authorised service centre to undertake the comprehensive maintenance of Ultra Filtration Plant work within 7 days from the date of commencement of work. On this account no additional payment shall be made to the contractor by the department. The copy of the MOU shall be submitted to GE.
(iii) The comprehensive maintenance of filtration plant will be carried out through the OEM's personnel under the supervision of contractor and the Engineer-in-Charge. The OEM shall be responsible for all technical support for comprehensive maintenance and shall also be responsible for performance of the plant in terms of outlet parameters mentioned here-in-before.
(iv) OEM or their authorised service centre shall employ skilled and experienced one technician having sound knowledge in the Filtration Plant to operate the plant, carryout water analysis checks through approved Laboratory and monitor the performance of the pant on a regular basis, interpret the results and suggest remedial measures in case of major deviations and one person for daily maintenance and cleaning of the plant
(v) Visits of service Engineer of OEM at least once in every month and during break down or when urgently required for the Inspection, servicing repair, rectification of problem and submission of report.
(vi) The contractor shall be fully responsible for maintaining the plant in operational condition in consultation with the Engineer-in-Charge.
(vii) The cost of supply and replacement of worn out/ defective equipments, each and every type of repair, renewals, regular servicing for efficient and smooth functioning of plant and connected equipment/ items shall be deemed to be included in the unit quoted rates of BOQ.
(viii) Repair/ replacement of any equipment/ machinery or part thereof provided under this contract shall be got done only from the manufacturer's authorised dealer/ OEM and record thereof shall be maintained.
(ix) The contractor has to provide all consumable spares, oil & lubricants for greasing of various equipments, chemicals, consumables for electrical and mechanical plant & machinery.
(x) One month's consumables and required spares shall always be kept at site in advance.
(xi) Major repairs/ overhauling etc. shall be notified to the GE immediately on occurrence. The cost of each part/ equipment replaced shall be deemed to be included in the unit rates quoted by the contractor. The rates quoted for item shall be deemed to be included for all materials and labour reqd for comprehensive maintenance including repair/ replacement of all the component equipment for keeping the plant in operational condition.
(xii) Water Sample Analysis :- The quality sewage treated water supplied to tertiary filter and the quality of treated water after screen filter of COD, BOD, TSS, Turbidity, oil & Grease on monthly once tested in Approved Lab & test report submitted to Engineer-in-Charge.
(xiii) Provide periodic monthly summary reports to Engineer-in-Charge highlighting the performance, trends, identifying the problem areas and suggestions for improvement.
(xiv) Surface dressing & removing of accumulated earth of any width and depth up to 15 cm around 3 mtrs radious cleaning/ cutting the grass around the installation and removing the grass waster to outside MD.
(xv) Repair to system in case of break down (due to normal wear & tear) shall be rectified by the contractor within 24 hrs. In case of failure noticed more than 24 hrs, recovery shall be effected @ Rs. 500/- per hour beyond 24 hrs.
Dismantling and taking out high pressure single head chemical dozing system from plant room, dismantle dozing pump, preparation and service FRP tanks of capacity upto 170 ltrs, strainers and other parts complete, de-scaling the FRP tanks by pressure washing, scrubbing, etc servicing complete plant including re-assembling and replacing the following spares for Make: Model No VST 1006 of Varima

Cleaning of Semi UG sump of 30000 gallon capacity by involving of the followings 09 (NINE) stage of cleaning process complete all as specified and directed (i) De-watering by high pressure submersible pump all complete (ii) Removal of sludge from sump (iii) Cleaning of walls, floors, ceiling etc by high pressure jet pump 80-180 bar pressure all complete (iv) Removing dirt and sludge by vacuum pump (v) Anti- Bacterial Tratment of inside of tank which is effective against all pathogens all complete. (vi) Sterilization ofthe tank atomosphere by UV radiation inside of the tank. (vii) Applying one coat of white wash internaL surfaces. (viii) Replace nylon net for vent pipes & man hole cover (ix) Writing letter in bold with white paint on black colour back ground such as sump number, capacity, cleaned on Date & Due on Date etc. Location - ATC bldg
Note for item No. 32 :- The unit quoted rate is deem to be included for the following :- (i) The contractor shall arrange dewatering pump of suitable capacity and mobile generator for operation of dewatering by high pressure submersible pump (or) Diesel driven high pressure pump and the unit quoted rate is inclusive of rent/hiring charges complete. (ii) After cleaning filling shall be cleared of shrubs, vegetation, grass bush, weed, trees and sapling not exceeding 30 cm in girth, measured at a height of two metre above ground level. Useful material shall be stacked. (iii) Material removed from the tank shall be disposed off at out side MD land. (iv) Tank shall be made available for cleaning for a period of 8 hours only and contractor has to arrange sufficient labour/ T&P to complete the job with the given period only. or otherwise penality shall be imposed @ Rs 500/- per day.
Taking out burnt stator winding of diesel engine set 60 to 83 HP capacity and rewinding of same with super enameled copper winding of proper gauge and amount of highly insulated copper wire as existing and testing complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge

Note for Item No 35 to 37 :- (a) Dewatering pump of suitable capacity shall be arranged by the contractor. (b) Material removed from the UG sumps/OHT's shall be deposited off at a distance of 50 mtrs away from. (c) UG sumps/OHT's shall be made available for cleaning for a period of 08 hours only. (d) Contractor has to arrange sufficient labour/T&P to complete the job with in the given period only
Attending day to day water supply service related complaints like choking of rising main pipes of buildings, blockage in control valves/ float valves/ pipe fittings, etc, applying necessary engineering efforts like dismantle of pipes and fittings to clean and remove blocking objects, descaling of pipes, re-fixing of pipes on wall, etc to restore the proper flow of water to service tanks all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
Note for item No 39 :- (a) The contractor has to attend above mentioned job in any location of entire domestic and tech area of Air Force Stn Sulur.
(b) The service tanks are positioned on roof top of multi storied buildings upto four storey. Contractor is responsible to ensure that the labour employed should be equipped with safety items like industrial helmet, safety belt, extensible ladder of 40 feet length, plumbing and cuttings tools, etc.
(c) The cost of rethreading of GI pipes of 25mm dia and adding of new GI nipple of suitable length after rethreading is deemed to be included in the quoted rate.
(d) Due to shortage of water in the station, the repair work and testing required under this item need to be carried out during water supply distribution hours i.e. 5:30 AM to 7:30 AM. Nothing extra shall be permitted in this regard.
(e) The cost of repair to the damages of cemented surfaces/ external finishes/ metal clamps of rising pipes are also deemed to be included in the quoted rate.
(f) In case of any delay in attending the complaint more than 6 hrs after handing over routine/urgent complaints, the contractor shall be liable to pay the penalty as described in penalty clause given here as under.
(g) If the delay is more then 06 hrs period and the GE is not satisfied with the reason for delay then penalty at the rate of Rs 100/- per job shall be deducted from the dues of the contractor. Please note that this penalty is exclusively other then the condition 56 of IAFW - 2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract and shall be enforce above as and when delay in individual job is noticed and no claim whatsoever on this account shall be entertained by the Deptt.
(j) The decision of the Accepting Officer in this regard shall be final and binding.
Ball valves high pressure of PTMT with epoxy coated aluminium rod & high density plastic ball screwed for iron pipe and pipe and fixed for 20 mm dia bore and including taking out unserviceable ball valves complete all as specified and directed.

PCC (1:3:6) type C1 using 20 mm graded stone aggregate as in base foundation for the pipe lines including one coat of white wash and necessary form work complete all as specified. Note:- Quoted rates is inclusive of removing the damaged PCC base foundation, levelling surface as per direction of EIC complete.
Cutting and removing existing rusted and damaged OH tanks hand rails with stand posts and material and Labour fabricate for Compound girders and stanchions, lattice girders, aerial masts, staging of water tank and the like including caps, bases, splices etc. built up from two or more beam or channel sections or angles with plates, including all lattice bars, stiffeners, gusset plates, etc with Fe 410 -W (Gde- E- 250), with square /round or any shape and sizes of MS pipe including two coats of synthetic enamel painting over a coat of red oxide, with scuffolding complete all as specified and directed.
Cleaning of valve pit chamber for sluice/gate valve of 50/80/100/150/200/ size by removing mud/ grass/ sludge/ other waste materials from the chamber and from surroundings upto 1mtr distance, carryout petty cement repairs with cement mortar 1:4, apply one coat of white wash on cemented surfaces and one coate of synthetic paint on steel surfaces complete to make an operator friendly valve chamber complete as specified and directed. Note :- Periodicity and locations of valve chambers will be given as per requirement by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Opening of existing sluice valve of 200mm bore by dismantling from existing water line and opening of gland cover taking out with spindle with check nut of stainless steel & refixing the same after servicing, greasing including replacement of rubber packing, nuts & bolts, glands etc and to refixing on the same line complete all as specified and directed Note: Any new parts like stainless steel Spindle with check nuts,Gland plate of required size shall be measured and paid separately under respective items

Taking out silt, liquid water sludge in solid/semi solid state / pumping out all mud sewage water from collection sump of size 5 M dia and 8 mtrs depth /Manholes STP tanks of any capacity and size and removing the same using truck mounted honey sucker of capacity minimum 4 cum and to dispose off the sludge to in low lying area at any distance during Sunday and holiday as per requirement, depositing the sludge in low laying area with covering by earth over it and leaving the collection sump clean etc. complete all as specified and directed.
Note for item No 71 :- The tendere shall take into consideration for following points while quoting his rate for this item and the unite rate is deemed be included for :- (i) Cutting and filling shall be cleared of shrubs, vegetation, grass bush, weed, trees and sapling not exceeding 30 cm in girth, measured at a height of two metre above ground leve around collection sump. Useful material shall be stacked.
(ii) De-watering by high presure submersible pump all complete.
(iii) Removal of sludge & sand from inside the tank scrubbing and washing side walls and bottom with bleaching powder solution and making surface free from any fungus, deposited stains using wire brush filling of cavities inside of tank with CM 1:2.
(iv) cleaning of walls , flooring and ceiling with special mechanized high pressure jet machines by high pressure jet pum 80-180 bar pressure , which dislodges the layer of dirt, algae, fungus stuck on its surface usage of scrubbing machines for old stains.
(v) Anti-Bacterial Treatment of Inside of the tank should be treated with specially developed 4 ft long ultraviolet Radiator to kill further floating bacteria/virus in order to make the tank totally clean, bacteria free and safe for storage of drinking water.
(vi) Cleaing/ above operations should be executed by trained workers and technicians.
(vii) Cost of T&P like rods, bamboos, gum shoes and hand gloves etc complete.
(viii) Driver and operator must be in possession of a valid licence and confirm the serviceability of the Truck.
(ix) Removal of blockage of sewage lines up to one metre from collection sump including manholes by using necessary tools/ mechanically tools or manually such as passing rope knots, bamboo kamti and disc of required size including safety measures such as test for gas etc. before flushing the pipe well with water after removal of blockage of pipe complete all as specified and directed.
(x) Tank shall be made available for cleaning for a period of 8 hours only and contractor has to arrange sufficient labour/ T&P to complete the job with the given period only. or otherwise penality shall be imposed @ Rs 500/- per day.
Disconnecting the delivery pipe line of submersible pump sets of any capacity from water mains to take out by lifting column pipe of 50mm dia alongwith submersible cable and pump set from shallow well of any depth for servicing of submersible pump sets of any capacity at site, re-assembling the column pipe and re-connection of submersible cable with pump set and lowering in the shallow/open well, testing and commissioning all as specified and directed. Note:- (a) The cost of tools and equipments reqd for lifting/ lowering of pipes and pumps are deemed to be incl in the quoted rate.
Removing of acumulated earth of any width and depth up to 30 cm. cleaning/cutting the grass and removing the grass waste to outside MD land. (iii) Screen filteration system is inspected weekly and the following points attended to :- (a) Inspect Inlet Tank/ Entry to system for blockages, plastics etc and remove. (b) Grease all bearings. (c) Check holding plate bolts. (d) Check shaft for wear and alignment. (e) Check bearings for wear and tear and check holding down bolts for tightness.
(iv) The following monthly Maintenace to be carried out in screen filteration plant :- (a) Check motor for overheating (by touch) and remove dust etc. from air fins. (b) Grease all bearings through nipples. (c) Grease all couplings through casing nipples. (d) Check oil level in compressor and top up if necessary. (e) Apply light lubricating oil in small quantities to locks and hinges (f) Check all screen filters should be cleaned and oiled. (g) Preapring and submitting monthly report on performance of the plant. (h) Check and calibrate the instruments including on line monitor and submit report (j) Check dozing pump and repair/service if necessary (k) Cleaning of back wash storage tank, screen filter treated water tank on periodically
(v) The following items for routine maintenance shall be provided in the plant :- (a) Antiscalant - 10 Ltrs per month (b) Catridges - 02 Nos per month (c) Cleaning Chemical- 05Ltrs per month (d) Membranes - 01 No per year (e) Lab chemicals/SDI - 01 Lot per month (f) Safety Gadgets (Gloves, Eye Glass, Helmets,Safety Jockets)
(vi) The following items shall be replaced as and when required or as directed by the Engr-in-Charge :- (a) Gaskets, Gland Packing (b) O rings (c) Minor electrical accessories viz Indication lamps, fuses etc. (d) Consumables respirators etc (e) Reagents, Lubricants etc (f) Pasting materials. (g) Limit switch
Note for item No 90 to 97 : The tenderer shall take into consideration the following points while quoting rate for this item and the unit rate is deemed to be included for:-
(i) Contractor shall made a MOU with OEM or their authorized service Centre to undertake the comprehensive maintenance work of SCREEN FILTER PLANT within 7 days from the date commencement of work and copy of the MOU shall be submitted to GE.
(ii) OEM or their authorised service centre shall employ one technician having sound knowledge in the screen filtration plant to operate the plant, carry out water analysis checks through Laboratory and monitor the performance of the plant on a regular basis, interpret the results and suggest remedial measures in case of major deviations and one person for daily maintenance and cleaning of the plant.
(iii) Provide periodic monthly summary reports to Engineer-in-Charge highlighting the performance, trends, identifying the problem areas and suggestions for improvement.
(iv) Visits of Service Engineer of OEM at least once in every month and during break down or when urgently required for the Inspection, servicing repair, rectification of problem and submission of report.
(v) Surface dressing & removing of accumulated earth of any width and depth upto 15cm cleaning/ cutting the grass around the installation and removing the grass waste to outside MD land.
(vi) Water Sample Analysis :- Water samples collected from treated and raw source and same to be monthly twice tested in Approval Lab & test report submitted to Engineer-in-Charge and interpret the results and suggest remedial measures in case of major deviations.

Note for item No 124 to 128 :- The tenderer shall take into consideration following points while quoting his rate for these items and the unit is rate deemed to be included for :-
(i) The above mentioned job to be done in restricted technical area of Air Force Stn Sulur. The tenderer are advised to visit the site before quoting the tender. On account of security reason no compensation or extra shall be admissible due to any misunderstanding or loss of man-hours.
(ii) Due to acute shortage of water, open wells will be handed over to carry out the job in phase manner by Engineer-in-Charge throughout the currency of the contract.
(iii) The contractor shall be provide dewatering pump of suitable capacity and mobile generator for operation of dewatering by high pressure submersible pump (or) Diesel driven high pressure pump and the rate quoted rate is inclusive of rent/hiring charge complete.
(iv) An necessary T&P to ensure safely of labours like safety jackets, ropes, nets, helmets, gumboots etc required will be the responsibility of the contractor.
(v) The potability of water is to be checked after filling fresh yield after cleaning and if the result is found not within the stipulated range, the cleaning and disinfection of well is to be repeated by the contractor without claiming any extra cost from the deptt.
(vi) Charges for water testing will be measured and paid seperately under respective item.
(vii) Material removed from the tank shall be disposed off at out side MD land.
(viii) Open well/ Dug Shallow well shall be made available for cleaning for a period of 2 days only and contractor has to arrange sufficient labour/ T&P to complete the job with the given period only. or otherwise penality shall be imposed @ Rs 2000/- per day.
(ix) Please note that this penalty is exclusively other than the condition 56 of IAFW-2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract.
(x) The decision of the Accepting Officer in this regard shall be final and binding.
(xi) The unit rate is deemed to be included the cost of removing vegetaion/ grass/ trimming of tree branches etc from atleast 5 mtr surrounding of well and pumping room.
Arrangement of Chemical and bacteriological analysis of drinking water by collecting samples from different sources like UG sumps/ user end taps/ bore wells/ open wells/ etc located in 12 km periphery, collection of samples in sterrilized laboratory bottles/ cans, transportation to authorised Govt laboratory to deposit the samples in stippulated time, including payment of fees, collection and submit of reports to the Engineer-in-Charge complete all as directed.

Note for item No 164 :- (a) (i) The contractor shall make AMC contract with the original manufacturer or authorised reputed service provider of firefighting systems and arrange their visit periodically as specified in the schedeule. (b) Checking oil level in diesel engine, top up if necessary and rectify leakages in system is the responsibility of the contractor. (c) Tightening of nut and bolts. Supply, installation, testing & commissioning of maintenance free chemical earthing system comprising 17mm dia copper bonded rod 3 mtr long horizontally pre welded T-terminal rod with provision for connection size of 50 x 150mm long, 6mm thickness with equal space either side, with 12mm dia hole of 02 numbers each on either side of the terminal clamp with 250 microns (average) coating thickness, tested and certified by CPRI India alongwith 50 Kg earth energizer compound and 10 litres earth resistance reducing liquid. The unit quoted rate shall deem to be included for the following :- (i) Prior to installation of maintenance free chemical earthing, soil resistivity test to be carried out at the location where earthing work to be done in presence of Engr-in- Charge/JE (E/M),user and the report has to submit to Garrison Engineer with recommendation of manufacturer, if required additional interconnection of earthing (not more than 04 number of earthing) to achive earth result less then 1 Ohms. The arrangement done for soil resistivity testing and submission of report with recommendation deemed to be included in the quoted rate.
(ii) The description/ size/ qty of items mentioned in above are for indicating only however qty/ size may vary at site condition to maintain the earth resistance 1 ohm. The contractor shall quote rate by considering all factors.
(iii) Rate of earth energizer compound of 25 Kg of 02 bags and earth resistance reducing liquid 10 litre per cane for each pit deemed to be included in the quoted rate.
(iv) Resistivity of earth energizer compound and resistance reducing earthing liquid shall be certified by any NABL accredited lab carried out as per IEC-62561-7 read with ASTMG57-06, CI-3.4A and the certificate of same shall be submitted by the contractor before commencement of work.
(v) Earth enhancing material should not leach into the adjacent soil or underground water channels and its PH valve should be in neutral range complete all as specified and as directed. It should solidify when mixed with water and set like concrete.
(vi) Copper strip of size 20 x 3 mm should be fixed on proper post insulator at the instrument end (copper strip will be measured and paid separately).
(vii) Testing of earth shall be carried out in presence of departmental and user representative and report shall be submitted to Garrison Engineer duly signed by all concern.
(viii) Earth resistance tester will be provided by the contractor. Tester should be calibrated from authorised company/ lab.
(ix) Earthing shall be tested after completion of work by the contractor in presence of Engr-in-charge, user and proper record shall be maintened duly signed by all concerned. After testing if the desired earth resistance of less than 1 Ohm is not obtained, the earthing will be redone at no extra cost to Govt. till desired result is obtained.
(x) The contractor shall given a written guarantee of minimum three years for maintaining the earth resistance less than 1 Ohm after certified date of completion.
(xi) No further maintenance or periodic watering or recharge shall be required in earthing during its guarantee period of over 03 years in all type of soil including soft/ disintegrated or hard rock.
(xii) During the guarantee period, if earth resistance is not maintained less than 1 ohm the contractor has to redo or rectify at no extra cost to Govt till desired result is mainained.
(xiii) A security deposit of value equal to 2.5 % of the rate quoted for chemical earthing per each earthing shall be retained from payment due to the contractor for the guarantee period.
(xiv) The electrode shall carry manufacturer's name .
(xv) The connection clamp shall be permanentlly welded to the copper bounded rod to avoid any kind of connectivity loss,.The pre-welded copper bounded rod shall not need any additional clamp for termination.
(xvi) The acceptable earth resistance at earth busbar/ test point shall not be more than 0.1 ohm.
(xvii) The contractor shall submit CPRI India certified document for copper bonded rod to ensure genuity of material.
(xviii) Sign board of mild steel 2 mm thick duly painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide Zinc chrome primer showing result of earthing should be fixed near the earth pit after completion as directed by engr -in- charge.

The manufacturer of boards/panel shall submit a copy of type test reports as per above-mentioned norms either from UL/ERDA/CPRI/NABL labs in India. The panels should be modular and compartmentalized in construction with opaque and transparent doors, properly tightened to base with thermoplastic screws having sealing gaskets of extruded silicon rubber to withstand adverse weather effects. The depth of modular enclosures should be above 200mm for air circulation & to minimize temp rise. Panel should be fitted with 01 No polycarbonate IP 65, 9W LED translucent bulk head luminaire, 6500K, PF > 0.95 under canopy for easy maintenance. Panel should be fitted outside with 01 No of 16A 3P IP 65 industrial socket and 01 No of 32A 5P IP 65 industrial socket. 3 phase and neutral 400 amps current carrying capacity copper bus bar insulated with colour coded heat shinkable sleeves with SMC/DMC insulators, complete with the following switch gears and mounting the panel board on ground with PCC (1:3:6) bedding upto a height of 45 cm above ground level, including dismantling and taking out old u/s LT Panel Board and remove from site reconnecting existing LT Cables with new panel board complete all as directed :-

Comprehensive maintenance of firefighting system comprising of Main pump of capacity not less than 75HP, Jockey pump not less than 10 HP, Diesel driven pump 83HP and (Roof Top) centrifugal pump 10 HP of M/s Kirloskar brothers co Ltd for fire hydrants Make : Omex, controlled by auto control panel and SCADA panel Make : Universe Control Automation, control valves & pressure gauges for automatic operation of fire pumps and fire hydrants, sprinklers system : Make Tyco etc. periodical maintenance as recommended by the original manufacturer including replacement of minor spares not mentioned here-in-before complete all as specified and directed . Note for item No 246 :- (a) (i) The contractor shall make AMC contract with the original manufacturer or authorised reputed service provider of firefighting systems. (ii) The repairs/maintenance shall be carried out through the original manufacturers or authorised reputed service provider of fire fighting system only. (b) Checking oil level in diesel engine if necessary filling upto mark level and leakage in system inform to concerned accordingly for necessary action. (c) Tightening of all nut and bolts. (d) Checking of all electrical connections for the in proper tightness incl checking of charging alternator and battery clamps. (e) Supply and greasing in all grease points. (f) Checking all fire hydrants if found leaking of water to arrest the leakages. (g) Checking all pumps glands and if required to replace the gland packing rope. (h) Check all motors and touch if overheating to inform to concerned. (i) Test run of complete system is to be carried out once in a month in presence of MES & Air Force reps. (j) Check all pump pressure and maintain required pressure. (k) The rate quoted shall be deemed to include for carried out all repairs to fire fighting system noticed during the period by providing materials and labour (l) Contractor is responsible to ensure required water pressure in the system always as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge

(a) All Joints should be joined by Exothermic Welding or Brazing. (b) After completion of work earthing shall be tested by the contractor in presence of Engineer-in-Charge, User and proper record shall be maintained. (c) Earth resistance tester shall be provided by the contractor. It should be caliberated from authorised company/ lab. (d) After testing if desired earth resistance of less than 5 Ohm is not obtained, the earthing will be redone at no extra cost to Govt till desired result is obtained.

Note for item 251 to 254 :- (i) The Contractor is deemed to arrange necessary tools and equipments, removing or alteration of fittings from existing pipe lines, arragement of plugging devices, etc to build up specified pressure required to wash out the pipes. This will be inclusive in quoted rate. (ii) Excavation and earth work required will be measured and paid seperately. (iii) The flushing out will be carried out with fresh filled water of well only duly chlorinated with specified sodium hypochlorite solution to disinfect the pipe lines from all pathogens and Coliform organisms.This will be inclusive in quoted rate.
Dismantle all switch gears and other accessories from fire fighting control panel board, dusting out, cleaning with carbon tetra chloride and ensure proper decarbonizing complete, re-wiring with new copper wires of suitable size of 10 sqmm, 6 sqmm, 4 sqmm and 2.5 sqmm with connecting lugs for switch gears and contols of main fire pump, jockey pump and diesel engine battery charging wires, incommer MCCB, etc, all as directed at site by the Engineer-in-Charge including re-installation of same panel board on floor, PCC work with 1:2:4 grade for grouting work, welding work as required, including scrapping of old painting on panel by wire brush and providing one coat of red oxide and two coat of synthetic enamel fire red colour paint through spray painting complete including refixing the following items at the original position:-
