Conducting Topographic survey for the proposed runway Extension area at Mysore Airport

1. Conducting coordinates survey by using DGPS instruments to give error free co-ordinates giving coordination points at 15 prominent location by fixing stone/on or above permanent structures. (which will be referred for total station survey). 2. Conducting Topographical survey by using Total Station survey for proposed Airport extension area. Survey including carry out contour map with levels for 0.5mt intervals / Block level drawings (50 Mt x 50Mt)/ to mark location establishing temporary bench marks within area by using Total Station survey instruments at proposed extension Airport. 3. Marking footprints of all-important physical features like Roads, canals, drains, kachha drains, houses, trees (No’s & Types), LT/HT Lines, any structures etc. 4. Working out quantities of cutting, filling for embankment, WMM, PQC, Perimeter road etc as per the design criteria given by AAI. i) Mobilization of necessary equipment and men for survey work, conducting topographical survey using GPS based survey equipment (Total station, auto levels, underground detectors etc.), at proposed airport expansion area and inside the operational area of Mysuru Airport , taking spot levels in 50M x 50M grid (Closer grids may be adopted in locations where abrupt/ sudden level differences are observed) and submission of contour maps with a contour interval of 0.50m. The survey data should include the location and all geographical details of various structures and other infrastructure like perimeter walls and roads, watch huts, watch towers, buildings, drains, drain outlets, electric poles, pathways, ditches, abrupt level differences in the form of depressions or mounts, trees with numbering, embankment including pitching, horizontal and vertical fences, and other relevant structures/features complete as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge. ii) The survey should be carried out based on the aerodrome reference point (ARP) located inside the operational area. The existing salient features inside operational area needs (like Runway, Terminal building etc) to be incorporated in the final output drawing as per the direction of Engineer-In-Charge. iii) After completion of survey the following needs to be submitted in the form of hard copy (3 set) in size not less than A0 size, with all levels details in suitable scale as directed by Engineer-In-Charge. a) Topographical plan showing all topographic features. b) Contour map with all details. c) Layout drawing including existing airport features and expansion areas as per the master plan showing all features. d) Cross section details at various intervals showing original ground levels, embankment filling, runway etc. e) Layout drawing to be superimposed on to satellite image and submitted. iv) The original data in the form of soft copy (CAD drawing, GPS data etc..,) also needs to be submitted in digital formats. (Compact disc, hard drives etc.) v) The quantity calculation needs to be carried out for the propose work in the extension area. The data like slope, cross section details etc., will be provided by AAI. Based on the same the finished levels needs to be finalized based on existing features and quantity of embankment flailing, wet mix macadam, PQC, bituminous works etc.., needs to be calculated. The details of calculation also needs to be submitted (hard & soft copy). vi) The total area of airport including area inside existing compound wall (operational area & city side) and new land to be acquired to be ascertained and submitted.
