Excavating trenches of required width by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) / manual means for pipes, cables etc., for depth upto 1.5m in all kinds of soil including excavation for sockets, dressing of sides, ramming of bottoms, getting out the excavated soil and then refilling the soil as required in layers not exceeding 200mm in depth, consolidating each deposited layer by ramming, watering etc., and disposing of surplus excavated soil as directed within a lead of 50m, (Disposed soil to be levelled by breaking clods, if any and neatly dressed), etc., all complete as per specification.

Providing and laying of underground drainage / Sewerage uPVC pipes of SN 8 class (SDR-34) conforming to IS:15328 of approved make suitable for elastomeric sealing ring joints including cost of spigot and socket end pipes with provision for sealing rings, specials, cutting, jointing with elastomeric seals, testing, etc., all complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing and constructing GULLY CHAMBER of internal finished size 300 x 300mm including providing, supplying and fixing 150 x 150mm (±10mm) PVC Gully trap with PVC grating at top of approved make including excavation in all types of soils, backfilling, embedding the trap in plain cement concrete 1:4.5:8 using 40mm size granite aggregates and constructing the chamber above the embedded PVC with 110mm thick (plus or minus 5mm) bricks in Cement Mortar 1:5 with well burnt stock bricks, plastering over both internal and external faces of brick work with Cement Mortar 1:3; 12mm thick finished smooth with a floating coat of neat cement on both faces, providing and fixing 400 x 400 x 25mm precast slab in reinforced cement concrete of 1:2:4 using 12mm and below hard broken granite stones including cost of gully trap, chamber etc., all complete as per specification.

Raising of existing manhole inspection chambers of following sizes clear with brick masonry walls 230mm thick for the height upto 300mm including earth work excavation in all types of soil and back filling wiith excavated earth disposing the surplus earth, chipping and removing the top cement layer of chamber, raising the chamber with Brick work, plastering in CM 1:3, 12mm thick on all out side surface and in CM 1:3 , 12mm thick finished with float coat of neat cement on inside, placing 50mm thick RCC precast cover slab, etc., all complete as per standard specification and as directed by Engineer -in charge. [Note: Cost of Precast slab will be paid for seperately under relevant item]

Making connection of drain or sewer line with existing manhole including breaking in to and make good the walls, floors with cement concrete 1:2:4 mix (1cement:2 coarse sand: 4 graded stone aggregate 20mm nominal size) cement plastered on both side with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand) finished with a floating coat of neat cement with cementitous materials using elastomeric seals and making necessary channels for the drain, etc., complete.

Cleaning the underground sewer lines and manholes by Mechanical methods of sewers upto 200mm dia including opening the cover of manhole/chambers with adequate safety measures to avoid asphyxiation, roding inside the sewer line between successive chambers using motorised cable cum rodding machine of suitable capacity along with high pressure water jets to remove the obstruction/choke in sewer line, cleaning the sewer/ chambers by removing all sludge, sand grits, tree root, waste material, etc., disposing of the sludges/waste materials within 1Km lead, closing the manholes by placing the cover in its original position, cost of all tools and plants required for this item etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note: 1) The contractor shall deploy sufficient manpower and machinery such as cable cum rodding machine, water jets for efficient cleaning of sewer line with requisite supervising staff falling which, payment will not be made for defective cleaning work. 2) Sewer line shall be cleaned minimum twice in a year. 3) Frequency of cleaning of sewer line and area /length of sewer line covered shall be as per the programme available with EIC. The contractor shall follow the same scrupulously, falling which the penal recovery shall be made.

Cleaning the underground main sewer lines and manholes by Mechanical methods of sewers of following diametre including opening the cover of manhole with adequate safety measures to avoid asphyxiation, removing the obstruction/choke in sewer line by using diesel running vehicle mounting hydraulic operated high pressure jetting system of 2200 PSI, removing the sludge/ waste materials using suction machine with pump having minimum 400 litre capacity, cleaning the sewer/ chambers by removing all sludge, sand grits, tree root, waste material, etc., desilting the manhole/chamber, disposing of the sludges/waste materials within 1Km lead, closing the manholes by placing the cover in its original position, flushing the sewer line between manholes by using high pressure jetting, cost of all tools and plants required for this item etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note: 1) The contractor shall deploy sufficient manpower and machinery such as jetting machine/ sucker for efficient cleaning of sewer line with requisite supervising staff falling which, payment will not be made for defective cleaning work. 2) The work shall be executed by deploying skilled specialised manpower/ agency by deploying suitable machineries. 3) Sewer line shall be cleaned minimum twice in a year. 4) Frequency of cleaning of sewer line and area /length of sewer line covered shall be as per the programme available with EIC. The contractor shall follow the same scrupulously, falling which the penal recovery shall be made.

Labour charges for cleaning dry and wet wells of the sewage lift station of about 3 metres deep from average GL by removing the accumulated sludge, sand grit etc., and disposing them with initial lead of 50 metres including cost of tools and plants required for this item all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Labour charges for removing choke from Floor/Nahani traps and Gully/Inspection chambers from residential & Non residential buildings including removing/disposing the removed waste/debris away from the buildings within a lead of 100 mtrs., cost of all tools and plants, safety materials required for this item, etc., all as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. (Note:- The contractor shall engage minimum two trained manpower per day with required tools and machineries to carryout the work on all working days failing which penal recovery of Rs.500/day will be imposed).

Laying of Precast slab over Gully / Inspection chamber at various locations including collecting and transporting from STP, laying over the chambers as directed by Engineer - In- Charge.

Collection and conveyance of Sewage sludges settled in sewer lines, manhole chambers and individual / dedicated sewage collection tanks at various locations by using sewage lorry of minimum capacity of 5000 litres per trip including disposing at lift stations, cost of men, materials, machineries, suitable safety gears as required for this work, etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. [Note: Suitable precautions shall be taken while collection and disposal of sewage sludge to avoid asphyxiation.]
