Maintenance of fruit bearing trees in DAE Township, Kalpakkam during the year 2024 - 2025

Amount

Collection, supply and stacking of good quality red earth without stones, gravel etc., and stacking for pre measurement at places shown by Engineer for taking pre measurements including spreading the same at places shown with a lead up to 100 metres etc,. all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Collection, supplying and stacking of decomposed dry farmyard manure without undesirable materials, stacking the same at places shown by Engineer for taking pre measurements including spreading the same at places shown with a lead upto 100 metres and filling in pits etc., complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Cutting & Clearing the scrub jungles, bushes, unwanted growth of vegetations & thorny plants along with roots, etc., including removing the roots, collection, conveyance and disposal the same by mechanical means to the dumping yard as shown by the Engineer-in-charge etc., complete. (Note:- The disposed dry material to be fired with controlled firing after getting prior approval of Engineer In - charge. The rate including water tanker, required hose etc.,)

Clearing the light jungle, bushes and unwanted growth of vegetations etc., by using mechanical means at coconut grove area including the cost of hire charges for bush cutter, collection and disposing the same by mechanical means to the dumping yard as shown by the department etc., all complete and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

Supplying and Spraying of approved quality plant protection chemicals such as Chloropyriphos or Neem oil, etc., as and when required during the entire contract period, etc., all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Trimming of tree branches of trees by mechanical means (using boom lift) upto 20m height from ground level which causing hindrance to free vehicle movement, blocking street light and touching the building etc., on road sides, avenues, streets and near buildings, including hire charges for boom lift of required height, cutting the branches of trees using necessary tools, collecting, transporting and disposing them at places shown by the Department using suitable vehicles, etc., all as directed by the Engineer-in- charge.

Beyond 1200mm upto and including 1800mm Girth Trees

Beyond 1800mm upto and including 2400mm Girth Trees

Beyond 2400mm upto and including 3600mm Girth Trees

Beyond 3600mm upto and including 4800mm Girth Trees

Maintenance of trees by regular watering, weeding and forming basins around the trees, make a temporary fencing for young trees as and when required, etc., all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note: 1) The rate shall include cost of all tools & plants, water delivery hose required for gardening. 2) The rate quoted shall be per No. tree maintained per month. 3) If tree gets dried/dead the same will be replaced by contractor at his own cost. 4) Contractor shall arrange mechanical means for watering the trees. Wherever treated effluent water is not available. 5) For every 400 trees, the contractor shall engage minimum one man day for maintenance. 6) The rate quoted shall be per number maintained per month. (800 Trees / Month) for 12Months x 800 Nos. = 9600 Nos. 7) Measures to be taken to prevent the entry of goats, cattle etc., by engaging suitable manpower.
