Mild Steel Frame shall have a coat of Steel Primer of Approved Make and Manufacturer. M&L for water proofing treatment on existing cleaned RCC roof with the following specifications and manufacturer's instruction complete all as specified and directed :- (i) Preparing and cleaning of fully dried surfaces as per IS 3067-1966. (ii) Applying bitumen primer conforming to IS:3384-1968 over the cleaned base @ 0.50 litre per sqm. (iii) Providing a layer of 3 mm thick APP modified pre-fabricated five layer, weight not less than 3.6 kg/sqm, black finished reinforced with non-woven polyster matt membrane with butane torch application. M&L for preparation of old treated/painted surfaces of walls and soffit of chajja, roof slab etc., by cleaning, brooming, rubbing and scrapping as required using broom, emery paper, putty blade/scraper as applicable to make the surface free from loose paint, algae formation, dust etc including necessary safety & protective measures such as safety belt, headgear etc including filling cracks upto 5mm with and including suitable elastomeric crackfill paste and applying one coat of weather proof exterior emulsion paint of approved make using airless spray technology capable of operating single spray gun with hose of adequate length and necessary scaffolding for upto 4 storey building height complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for complete removal of existing treatment on old painted surfaces of walls and soffit of chajja, roof slab etc. by scrapping and removing treated surfaces with mechanical wall sander (having vacuum mechanism for suction) having minimum 1500 RPM, sanding pad of 80 grit size having 7"- 9" dia (as required) including cleaning, watering to make the surface clean and free from dust, for upto 4 storey building height including necessary scaffolding, safety and protective measures complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for complete removal of existing treatment on old painted surfaces of walls and soffit of chajja, roof slab etc. by using high pressure jet washer including cleaning the surface by scrapping as required using emery paper, putty blade/scraper as applicable for removing loose paint, corrosion, algae formation etc., to make the surface clean and free from dust, for upto 4 storey height including necessary scaffolding, safety and protective measures complete all as specified and directed.

Note for item No 71 to 74:- The all process of painting will be carried out of Manufacturer authorised representative only, Jet Water machine and Graco Spry painting Machine shall be borne by the contractor and also the contractor should provide adequate jet and Spray machines as per site requirement as directed by Eng-in-Charge.

M&L for introducing new mild steel TMT reinforcement bars for structural connection in RCC beams, columns, lintel and slabs (for any storey/ height of building/ structure) including power drilling holes of appropriate diameters in reinforced or plain cement concrete to a minimum depth of 150mm and up to 200mm including power drilling, fixing the reinforcement in position using epoxy, cleaning of loose dust by blowing air, sealing with epoxy cartridges, plastic nozzles etc as per manufacturer's instructions etc all as specified and directed. GENERAL NOTES FOR ITEM NO. 129 TO 136:- (i) The work shall be got executed through authorised applicator of the chemical manufacturers. Necessary documents to this effect shall be obtained from manufacturer and submitted to the Engineer-in-Charge. (ii) Contractor shall provide additional manpower, resources, preparatory work etc. required for execution of the work as required by the authorised applicator. Quoted rates are deemed to be inclusive of the above aspects. No extra claim shall be admissible during execution of work on this account.

M&L for uprooting of plants or vegetation growth from wall up to roof level, applying two coats of tartaric acid and repair to broken/chipped off plastered surfaces with cement mortar 1:3 mixed with liquid water proofing compound as per manufacturer's instruction and sealed with 85/25 grade hot blown bitumen in patch not exc 2.0 sqm and removal of debris outside MOD land and disposed off complete all as specified and directed by Engineer -in charge.

M&L for cleaning of inaccesible areas of roof including parapet walls upto 0.50 metre height, removal of vegetation growth, including uprooting, if required and repair to broken/chipped off plastered surfaces with cement mortar 1:4, mixed with water proofing compound @ 200 ml per 50 kg bag of cement, finished fair and even including necessary ladder/scaffolding complete all as specified and directed. (NOTE: Water Proofing Compound shall be measured and paid seperately)

M&L for cleaning of outer surfaces of down take pipes, any type, treating minor leakages at joints, clearing of vegetation, scraping of algae growth with wire brush, chipping of damaged plaster at the joints (area not exc 0.50 sqm) and making good with cement mortar 1:4 duly mixed with water proofing compound @ 200 ml per 50 kg bag of cement and applying one coat of tartaric acid on dry finished plaster surface including necessary ladder/scaffolding complete all as specified and directed. (NOTE: Water Proofing Compound shall be measured and paid seperately)

Providing and fixing double steel scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side of shaft portion (only) of building of any height including additional rows of scaffolding in stepped manner as per requirement of site, made with minimum 40mm dia M.S. Tube, placed 1.5 metre centre to centre(maximum), horizontal & vertical tubes joint with cup & lock system with M.S. Tubes, M.S. Tube challis, M.S. Clamps and staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for execution of work and removing it thereafter. The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connecting with the building etc, wherever required, if feasible, for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc., complete as per directions and approval of GE. Notes:- (1) The elevational area of shaft portion of building (length/breadth of shaft X height of shaft) covered with scaffolding shall only be measured for payment purpose. (2) The payment shall be made for one time only for execution of all items of each face of shaft portion of building. (3) After completion of work all scaffolding materials shall be removed from building /structure by the contractor and the same shall be the property of the contractor and accordingly rate shall be quoted.
