Surface excavation not exceeding 30 cm deep and averaging 15cm deep and getting out any type of soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Excavating in trenches, n exc 1.5 m wide and n exc 1.5 m in depth; for foundation, etc. or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, laying XLPE cable etc. n exc 10 sq m on plan and n exc 1.5 m in depth and getting out hard/dense of soil complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F High strength corrosion resistant TMTsteel bar of grade Fe-500, 10 mm dia and over cut to length, bent to shape required, including cranking, bending spirally for hooping for columns, hooking ends and binding with mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9 mm dia., or securing with clips complete all as specified and directed.

M&L High strength corrosion resistant TMTsteel bar of grade Fe-500 , 5 mm dia to 10 mm dia cut to length, bent to shape required, including cranking, bending spirally for hooping for columns, hooking ends and binding with mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9 mm dia., or securing with clips in stirrups , spacers and binders etc complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Spreading and leveling the soils in layers not exceeding 25 cm thick each layer including watering and well ramming complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Hardcore of gauge not exceeding 63 mm of broken stones or boulders, deposited, spread and levelled in layers not exceeding 15 cm thick, watered and rammed to a true surface complete all as specified and directed.

M&L 100 mm thick Plain cement concrete 1:4:8 type D-2 (using 40 mm graded stone aggregate ) as in sub base, sub floor etc complete all as specified and directed.

M&L 25mm thick Plain cement concrete 1:2:4 type-B-1 (using 20 mm graded stone aggregate) as in floors for receiving tiles complete all as specified and as directed.

S & F pressed steel frames of size 125 x 60mm for doors with one or more rebates including necessary fixing lugs, hinges, lock strike plate, etc., complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and Fixing 30 mm thick factory made flush shutter solid core construction with block board core and plywood face panels, commercial type on both faces complete all as specified and directed.

S&F 30mm thick 2nd class hard wood glazed and skeleton shutters, open rebated and prepared to receive glass, gauze, etc. divided into squares, with plain, chamfered or rounded, mitred and rebated sash bars, any numbers, edges of framing plain, chamfered or rounded. fitted with cut and mitred beads for securing glass, etc.; sizes of me-mbers of shutters as specified in SSR Part I, Section 8, clause 8.24 (a); all as specified and directed.

M & L Preparation of new wood or wooden surface of any description not otherwise described over 10cm width or girth and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of pink primer complete all as specified and directed

M&L Preparation of new or previously untreated steel surfaces of any description, over 10 cm width or girth, not otherwise described and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint (ordinary tint) over one coat of red oxide primer complete all as specified and directed

Note for item No 25 & 26:- (a) All synthetic enamel paint shall be of 1st quality manufactured by the standard firms of make as specified.

(b) The contractor shall inform the GE, within three weeks of the acceptance of the tender, the brand/names of the manufacturers of paint proposed to be used in the works and submit samples thereof and obtain prior written approval of GE before their use in works.

(c) The contractor shall when so required by the GE, produce certificate from the manufacturer or their representative to establish that the brands of paints purchased by the contractor from them, satisfy the requirements of the relevant Indian Standards. Tint of paint, will be approved by the GE.

(d) Paints shall be obtained direct from approved manufacturer or from their authorized agents only of respective brands mentioned below and brought to site in sealed containers. The paint so procured shall be of first quality of any approved make as per list of makes specified. i. Berger Paints (Luxol), ii. Jenson & Nicholson (Brolac), iii. Shalimar Paints(Superlac), iv. Goodlass Nerolac (Nerolac), v. Asian Paints(Apcolite)

(e ) Unless otherwise specified the tints of paint shall be as approved by the GE

(f) The contractor shall submit samples of the paints proposed for the work along with results of tests conducted in approved laboratory as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge for approval.

(g) The surface shall be thoroughly cleaned and dusted. All dirt scales oil and grease shall be thoroughly removed before painting is started. The prepared surface shall be inspected and approved by the GE before painting is commenced. The weather shall not be foggy/rainy, dusty or windy. The suitability of the weather will be determined by the Engineer-in-Charge.

(h) No hair marks from the brush or clogging of paint buddles shall be left on the work. Surface shall ordinarily not be painted until it has dried up completely. Trial patches of paint shall be laid at intervals to check if drying is satisfactory.

Supply and fixing 100mm long Butt hinges medium weight cold rolled mild steel, and fixed complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fixing 150 mm long Extruded Aluminium alloy handles, fabricated type, anodised complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing 200 mm long aluminum anodized barrel tower bolt extruded section complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F 300mm Aluminium alloy, anodised, sliding door bolts with hasp, staple (bolt type) and fixing clips of sheet, cast or extruded sections and fixing bolts and sliding bolts of extruded sections or cast- aluminum alloy and fixed complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F Aluminium body door closer hydraulically regulated,designation No.3, universal type, suitable for door shutters of 851 to1000 mm in width and of weight between 61 to 80 kg and fixed complete as directed by Engr-in-charge.

S&F Stainless steel wire cloth 0.36mm nominal dia of wire and average width of aperture 1.4mm complete all as specified and directed.

S&F Floor door stopper of aluminium alloy body and tongue anodized with hard drawn steel spring fixed in floor overall 150mm complete all as specified and directed.

M & L brickwork with fly ash’ bricks using old size bricks, straight or curved on plan exc 6m mean radius built in CM 1:6 complete all as specified and as directed

Note for Item No 43 :- (a) Fly ash bricks shall be burnt clay flyash building bricks as per IS- 13757.

(b) The rates for work curved or polygonal on plan include for all extra cutting and extra waste in the body of the work. It shall be measured as mean length of wall.

(c) Sinking of steining shall be measured separately under relevent item. Well curbs, tie-rods, etc. shall be measured under the appropriate item.

(d) bricks shall be of class designation 75 (Kgf/cm).

(e) The quoted rate shall be deemed to be inclusive for all scaffolding, ladders, plant and templates required

(f) Exposed faces of brick work shall be fair.

(g) Exposed faces shall be facing with best bricks

(h) The quoted rate shall be deemed to be inclusive for Plumbing to angles

(j) Forming reveals to jambs where fair cutting on exposed faces shall not be involved

(k) The quoted rate shall be deemed to be inclusive for preparing tops and sides of existing walls and the like for raising and extending

(l) Building in vertical seismic reinforcement at the jambs of openings, corners of walls, etc.shall be grouting in cement mortar 1:4

M&L Rendering 10 mm thick in cement mortar 1:4 on fair faces of Brick masonry surfaces finished even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Rendering 15 mm thick in cement mortar 1:4 in two coats i.e 10mm thick cm (1:4) in first coat and 5mm thick in cm (1:4) mixed with WPC as per manufacturers instructions in second coat on Brick masonry surfaces or surface other than fair face of brickwork or on one side of lathing, finished even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed. Note : Supply only WPC will be measured and paid separately.

M&L Rendering 5 mm thick in CM 1:3 on concrete ceiling surfaces and finish the surface even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L Rendering 10 mm thick in cement mortar 1:3 on Brick masonry surfaces or surface other than fair face of brickwork or on one side of lathing, finished even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed.

Note for Item No 55 to 58 :- The quoted rate shall be deemed to be inclusive for the following:- (a) Preparing the surfaces.

(b) Scoring surface of plastering for key, where the surface is not required to be finished fai

(c) Curing of plastered surface.

M&L Preparation of new plastered surface of wall and applying two coats of oil bound distemper over a coat of wall care putty of 2mm thick to achieve smooth surface of wall and one coat of alkali resistant primer complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L applying three coats of cement based paint, including preparation of newly plastered wall surfaces of any description, complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L 75mm thick, plain cement concrete (1:3:6), type C-2 (using 40 mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregates), as in plinth protection/ path/ hardstanding including making joints @ 3.00 metre intervals and at each corner, the joint shall be filled with mastic filling (to full depth) comprising of one part heated hot blown bitumen 85/25 & two parts heated sand (by volume), surface finished even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- The concrete shall be laid at a stretch not exceeding 3 metre in length and width of joint shall not be more than 12 mm.

M&L Machine cut kota stone slab flooring 20-25mm thick over cement screed base laid and jointed with grey cement slurry mixed with pigment to match the shade of the slab including rubbing and polishing including screed bed or bedding layer, 20 mm thick in Cement Mortar 1:6 including Roughening surfaces of old concrete floor by picking, sweeping clean and washing down with water to remove dust, etc complete all as specified and as directed. Note : The manufacturer's test certificate for tiles must be submitted for approval by the concerned authority prior to laying.

M&L Machine cut kota stone slab flooring 20-25mm thick in riser of steps, skirting, dado and jointed with grey cement slurry mixed with pigment to match the shade of the slab including rubbing and polishing including 10mm thick backing coat in Cement Mortar 1:3 including Roughening surfaces of old concrete/ brick wall by picking, sweeping clean and washing down with water to remove dust, etc complete all as specified and as directed. Note : The manufacturer's test certificate for tiles must be submitted for approval by the concerned authority prior to laying.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm in soil all as specified and as directed.

Removing excavated soils to a distance exceeding 1.5 KM but not exceeding 5KM and depositing where directed complete all as specified and directed.

S&F Framed work such as grills , grating ,etc with ends of bars shouldered and or reveted for forged in to spike, framed guard bars barred iron doors, ladders, balusters, walk ways raling framed work for water tanks similar work confirming to Fe -290 Gde E-165 complete all as specified and directed

Note for item No 75 & 76 :- (a) The unit rate shall include the cost of short lengths, with all pipe fittings such as bends, tees, short pieces connectors, elbows, reducers, unions, sockets etc and fixing accssories such as pipe hooks, screws clamps etc

(b ) Wall thickness of pipes shall be all as per IS : 15801

M & L APP based polymeric membrane minimum weighing 3kg/sqm and minimum 3mm thick reinforced with polyster non woven fabric (wt. not less than 150 gms/sqm) land on primed surface by forced application complete all as specified below:-

(a) Cleaning the surface with water and using wire brush including removing debris to out side the MoD land and providing following

(b) Rendering 10mm thick in cm (1:3) on concrete roof surface and finish the surface even and smooth without using extra cement including mixed with WPC @3% by weight of cement.

(c) Apply a coat of bituminous primer confirming to IS-3384@ 0.4 ltr/Sqm on newly plastered surface after curing as per IS-456 and dried.

(d) Providing APP modified water proofing as approved by GE weighing not less than 3kg per sqm unrolled over the bituminous coated surface with 100mm over laps, the overlap shall be sealed by flame as per manufacture instructions complete.

(e) Applying a coat of aluminium paint at the rate of 100 gm per sqm as per manufacture instruuction over bituminous layer complete all as directed.

Note for Item 84 :- (i) Care shall be taken to avoid wrinkle and air gaps while sticking membrane to the bitumen applied surface.

(ii) Measurements shall be for the surface of roof and vertical, curved or battered faces of parapet walls, abutments, chimney stacks, breasts, drain mouths, gutters, flashings, etc., covered with the waterproofing treatment. Turn ups and turn downs at eaves, verges, abutments, flashings, aprons, gutters, hips ridges, valleys, etc., shall be measured alongwith waterproofing treatment

(iii) Rates include for end and side laps, forming of openings, tucking in, wedging and pointing edges, tucked in brickwork or concrete fillet, all cutting and waste, and work in any position and any shape

Note for Item No 122 here in above :- (a) All Joints should be joined by Exothermic Welding or Brazing.

(b) After completion of work earthing shall be tested by the contractor in presence of Engineer-in-Charge, User and proper record shall be maintained duly signed by all concerned.

(c) Earth resistance tester will be provided by the contractor. It should be caliberated from authorised company/ lab.

(d) After testing if desired earth vesistance of less than 3 Ohm is not obtained, the earthing will be redone at no extra cost to Govt till desired result is obtained.

(e) Rate shall include GI strip and protection pipe of length up to 7.5m

Supply, installation, testing & commissioning of maintenance free chemical earthing system comprising 17mm dia copper bonded rod 3 mtr long horizontally pre welded T-terminal rod with provision for connection size of 50 x 150mm long, 6mm thickness with equal space either side, with 12mm dia hole of 02 numbers each on either side of the terminal clamp with 250 microns (average) coating thickness, tested and certified by CPRI India alongwith 50 Kg earth energizer compound and 10 litres earth resistance reducing liquid. The earthing energizer compound and resistance reducing earthing liquid shall be tested as per IEC-62561-7 read with ASTM G57-06, CI 3.4 A by any NABL accredited lab. The above mentioned rod shall be installed in 4-6 inch bore, 12 feet depth with a distance of minimum 3 meters between each installation all as specified and directed. Make : SafeTrode/ ISG Global/ ERICO.

Note for Item No 128 :- The unit quoted rate shall deem to be included for the following :- (i) Prior to installation of maintenance free chemical earthing, soil resistivity test to be carried out at the location where earthing work to be done in presence of Engr-in- Charge/JE (E/M),user and the report has to submit to Garrison Engineer with recommendation of manufacturer, if required additional interconnection of earthing (not more than 04 number of earthing) to achive earth result less than 1 Ohms. The arrangement done for soil resistivity testing and submission of report with recommendation deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

(ii) The description/ size/ qty of items mentioned in above are for indicating only however qty/ size may vary at site condition to maintain the earth resistance 1 ohm. The contractor shall quote rate by considering all factors.

(iii) Rate of earth energizer compound of 25 Kg of 02 bags and earth resistance reducing liquid 10 litre per cane for each pit deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

(iv) Resistivity of earth energizer compound and resistance reducing earthing liquid shall be certified by any NABL accredited lab carried out as per IEC-62561-7 read with ASTMG57-06, CI-3.4A and the certificate of same shall be submitted by the contractor before commencement of work.

(v) Earthing shall be tested after completion of work by the contractor in presence of Engr-in-charge, user and proper record shall be maintained duly signed by all concerned. After testing if the desired earth resistance of less than 1 Ohm is not obtained, the earthing will be redone at no extra cost to Govt. till desired result is obtained.

(vi) Earth resistance tester will be provided by the contractor. Tester should be calibrated from authorised company/ lab.

(vii) The contractor shall give a written guarantee of minimum three years for maintaining the earth resistance less than 1 Ohm after certified date of completion.

(viii) No further maintenance or periodic watering or recharge shall be required in earthing during its guarantee period of over 03 years in all type of soil including soft/ disintegrated or hard rock.

(ix) During the guarantee period, if earth resistance is not maintained less than 1 ohm the contractor has to redo or rectify at no extra cost to Govt till desired result is mainained.

(x) A security deposit of value equal to 2.5 % of the rate quoted for chemical earthing per each earthing shall be retained from payment due to the contractor for the guarantee period.

(xi) Earth enhancing material should not leach into the adjacent soil or underground water channels and its PH valve should be in neutral range complete all as specified and as directed. It should solidify when mixed with water and set like concrete.

(xii) The electrode shall carry manufacturer's name .

(xiii) The connection clamp shall be permanentlly welded to the copper bounded rod to avoid any kind of connectivity loss,.The pre-welded copper bounded rod shall not need any additional clamp for termination.

(xiv) Copper strip of size 20 x 3 mm should be fixed on proper post insulator at the instrument end ( The rate of earthing strip up to 7.5 Mtrs is included in the quoted rate)

(xv) The acceptable earth resistance at earth busbar/ test point shall not be more than 0.1 ohm.

(xvi) The contractor shall submit CPRI India certified document for copper bonded rod to ensure genuity of material.

(xvii) Sign board of mild steel 2 mm thick duly painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide Zinc chrome primer showing result of earthing should be fixed near the earth pit after completion as directed by engr -in- charge.

(xviii) Earth work such as auguring and making good the surrounding area shall carried out in any type of soil.

S & F in repairs Earth pit cover made of heavy duty poly plastic of high grade polypropylene tested and certified by any NABL accredited lab for load bearing capacity not less than 9.2 tonnes with top dia not less than 250mm, bottom dia not less than 330 mm and height not less than 260 mm dia for each electrode pit complete all as specified and directed. Make : Model SEPC 250 of SAFE TRODE/ Electrogrip Model EGTEK3LC of ISG Global or equivalent in ERICO. Note :- The contractor shall submit load bearing capacity certificate from the manufacturer.

S&F in repairs Copper strip 20 x 3mm thick as earthing lead fixed to wall/roofs etc all as directed. NOTE : All Joints should be joined by Exothermic Welding or Brazing

S&F in repairs Epoxy base insulators of suitable size 40mm height for fixing copper earth strip on wall/ceiling/floor/poles etc all as specified. NOTE : Quoted Unit Rate deem to be included drilling holes per Metre or as specified on GI/Aluminium/Copper Strip of any type and size.

M & L for recharging of existing defective earth pit after excavation up to one feet depth surrounding the earth pit as notified by the Engr-in-Charge and pouring 1 bucket of Recharge Hydrate crystalline gel earthing compound (6 KG /bucket) mixed with 10 litre water as per the manufactureres instructions for each earth pit to enhance the earth resistance complete all as specified and directed.

Note for Item No 150:- (a) Hydrate crystalline gel earthing compound shall be water soluble soil reactivation earthing compound.

(b) This compound shall be suitable for all type of existing earth pit.

(c) this compound shhall be environmentally & metallurgically safe non corrosive eco freindly.

(d) The purity of the compound shall be 98-100%

(e)The effectiveness of this compound shall be minimum 18 months

Notes for Item No 156:- (i) RCC pit cover shall be pre-cast of RCC (1:2:4) type B-1, 80 mm thick reinforced with XPM not less than 4Kg/ Sqm.
