M&L for cleaning the surface with compressor air and make the surface free from dust and other particle and apply cold polymeric bitumen emulsion (PME) @1.00 ltr per sqm in one coats after dilution with 50% water , viz in ratio 1:1 ( water :PME ) by mechanical spraying machine complete all asspecified and directed. Note : The tenderere shall take into consideration the following points while quoiting his rate for the items. (a) No price adjusment shall be applicable if excess quantity of cold polymeric bitumen emulsion is used under this item. (b) A performance guarnttee cerrtificate for two years shall be submitted by the contractor after physical completion after work. (c) The work will be carried out as per user requirment from 8:30 hrs to 20:00 hrs . The deployment of labour and T&P arrangment on the runway shall be intimated to the cntractor by 0800 hours each day in the morning by Engr-in-Charge.The contractor has to provide necessary arrangment and light etc and quote the rate accordinglly for considering late working hours at night. The quoted rate by contractor shall be include all detail mentioned in this note and nothing extra shall be paid on this account .

Racking out of old existing sealant compound and back up rod of the existing joints by special tools like cutting blade/ machines, widening of joints by 2 mm by using joint cutting blades of appropriate size, straight and smooth edges, joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air, joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil, vegetation and other debris. Application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before placing the backup rod 12 mm and pouring the sealant. Thereafter filled with closed cell, medium density, cross linked polythene form backup rod of appropriate dia for complete length of the joint, over it to be filled with polyurethane joint sealant 10 mm thick meeting the requirements mentioned in BS 5212, BS 4254 and EN 141875-2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) of +/-30%. (a) Joint of width 12-15 mm Note: For cutting of joint and cleaning of cutting surface contractor should use electric operated tools at site and sufficient usable DG Set to be arranged by contractor himself .The rate quoted by the contractor deemed to be included this.

Deployment of T&P and labour for cutting and removing the grasses / vegetation growth / saplings etc. from the surrounding area of runway, taxi track and dispersals by using tractor equipped with jungle Jim and disposing off all the rubbish out of runway boundary complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note : Minimum 2 Jungle Jim with tractor to be deployed by the Contractor on daily basis as on daily basic per user requirement. if contracto unable to deploy 2 jungle jim with tractor per day 2500 /- recovery will be carried out by contractor

Deployment of T&P and labour for grass cutting by manually or mechanically (Bush Cutter) on the both side of runway / PTT as per requirement basis and timing as feasible by the users, complete including taking out all necessary grass shurbs saplings wild bushes and any type of vegetation and removing out of runway boundary complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note : Minimum 4 Bush cutter to be deployed by the Contractor on daily basis as per user requirement. if contracto unable to deploy 4 bush cutter with operator per day 3500 /- recovery will be carried out by contractor

M&L for repair to patches of flexural portionof runway,depth n.exc 80 mm,including sweeping free from dust and mud or water withwire or jute brush scooring sunken surface in runway pavement, cutting arround edge to at least full depth of carpet layer making proper rectangular or squre shape patch and making good by applying tack coat with bitumenous primer (catonic emulsion RS) and filling the pacth with ready made bitumeonus mix of using cutback bitumen rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with hand roller complete and clean the surface by brooming and making FOD free surface to runway complete all as specified and directed.

M&L painting runway taxi track / apron marking with Graco Line LASER runway road marking airless spray painting machine or equivalent with minimum number of coats to give uniform finish with road marking water based paint of AAI approved make ( paint spayed in rate per liter should be 2 sqm for one coat ) including cleaning the surface all all dirts , scales , oil, grease and other foreign material etc and lining out complete specified and directd .

Demolition of old PQC / concrete of any description and in any position not other wise specifically provided for and demolished material thrown out of premises complete all as specified and directed

M&L 100 mm thick plain cement concrete 1:3:6 (Nominal mix), Type C-2 (using 40mm graded brick aggregate) as in sub base filling all as specified and directed. Note:- Unit rate quoted shall be deemed to be included all necessary formwork .
