Operation and Maintenance of 1MLD capacity of Sewage Treatment Plant for Period of Two years at VOC Port Trust

Maintaining the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) sewerage pumps viz., Screen drum, USAB Reactor feed, Blower, Sludge drying beds, Solid waste disposal etc., for the collected sewage water received from Main pump house at Harbour Estate area by engaging 3 Nos. of Pump Operater (1st Shift - 1 No., 2nd Shift - 1 No. and Reliever - 1 No.) of well experienced and qualified Pump operator with ITI Certificate Without allowing any interruption to the STP system. The Tenderer should attend and replace the minor works in the motor pump whenever required during the contract period. The pump operator should clean the screens and keep the collected waste in the places for disposal and maintain the area neat & tidy. The cost including of wages to the pump operator, attending minor repair work in the motor pump etc., complete and as directed by the departmental officers. (Recovery will made as per special condition of the schedule, if the Pump Operator is found absent).

Engaging 1 No. of Lab. Technician with B.Sc. (Chemistry) for maintaining the laboratory with effective supervision in Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) by taking water samples daily (i.e.) raw water & treated water for Ph Value and to carryout Chemical Oxygen demand, Biological Oxygen demand, Total suspended soil value & furnish the report to the departmental officers at Three times in a Month regularly and monitoring the test value in STP Site Laboratory & the Lab. Technician should maintain the registers for the test results etc., complete and as directed by the departmental officers. (Recovery will made as per special condition of the schedule, if the Lab. Technician is found absent)

Supplying 2 Nos. of Unskilled Madzoor for segregation of Bio and Non - bio degradable waste received from the Harbour Estate area. The segregated bio degradable waste to be spread in to the pit evenly to a height of 0.15m to 0.20m in each Pit. Collected cow dung were converted into slurry and sprinkled on the top of organic material as seed (mixing cow dung with water-as-seed- avoid flooding of Pit). After sprinkling the cow dung slurry, a thin layer of river sand to be placed as bulking material to cover solid waste material. Soil microbe’s helps to degrade of organic matter under aerobic conditions. After one week, on the top of river sand, again a layer of organic materials followed by cow dung slurry and followed by river sand to be placed as second layer. Two to three times in a week, the entire material has to be turned upside and down for proper mixing as well as supply of oxygen. Intermittently water to be sprinkled to maintain Moisture content of 50 to 60% which is favorable for composting. Usually composting can be completed in 3 to 4 weeks duration. After completion of composting process, the compost is retained in the Pits for an additional 3 to 4 weeks period for curing, during the curing period, it take place decomposition of residual decomposable organic matter, reduction of fungi and actinomycetes, After completion of filling of waste material in one Pit, next pit is allowed for filling with waste material. After completion of curing of the compost, the composted materials to be sieved and packed in plastic gunny bags etc., Following work to be carried out as directed by the departmental officers (Recovery will made as per special condition of the schedule, if the Unskilled Mazdoor is found absent).

Engaging 3 Nos. of Watchman for Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) in 3 Shifts viz., I Shift, II Shift & III Shift for Watch duty and to maintain the register for vehicle entry in the STP Area and any other works as and when assigned etc., complete and as directed by the departmental officers. (Recovery will made as per special condition of the schedule, if the Watchman is found absent).

Supplying the Laboratory materials (Chemicals powdered / acids) for taking test for PH value, COD, BOD, and TSS. The chemicals are to be supplied during the contract period for day to day activities. The chemicals should be received from the Govt. Agency wtih necessary valid expiry date, necessary certificate & bill etc., complete as directed by departmental officers. Supplying the following materials for safety measures for Laboratory Assistant and materials for Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) equipments such as 1) Hand Gloves - 12 Sets, 2) Lubrication Oil - 40 Litres, 3) Spider Washer - 40 Nos., 4) Bearings - 12 Nos., 5) Mechnical Seal - 12 Nos., 6) V belt for blower - 8 Nos. & 7) Motor fan - 4 Nos. during the contract period for day to day activities for maintaining the the Sewage Treatment Plant etc., complete and as directed by the departmental officers.
