REPAIR/REPLACEMENT OF DUCTS ALONGWITH INSULATION AT INHS ASVINI UNDER AGE(I), COLABA, MUMBAI

Supply, fabrication, and erection of factory-fabricated rectangular or square duct made out of 24-gauge (0.63 mm thick) G.I. sheet conforming to IS: 277 with zinc coating not less than 120 gsm, formed to the required shape and size in L-shaped hollow profile. The work shall include all accessories such as corner pieces, flanges, gaskets, approved duct sealant, G.I. nuts, bolts, carriage bolts, hangers, supports, and all materials required for proper installation complete all as specified and directed by Engineer_in_charge.

Taking down carefully the existing rectangular or square G.I. ducting of any gauge or size including all connected fittings, accessories, thermal insulation, wire mesh/net, supports, hangers, and sealing material. The work shall include cutting, dismantling, unscrewing, or unbolting joints, lowering the ducts safely from the ceiling or wall, and stacking serviceable material complete all as specified & directed by Engr-in-charge.

Note for item Ser No 2 a) Rates inclusive of taking down existing LED lights and fire/smoke sensors if any and refixing the same after completion of ducting work. b) The contractor shall ensure that all electrical connections and detector circuits are properly disconnected, tagged, and reconnected under the supervision of the Engineer-in-Charge. (c)Any damages caused to LED lights, detectors, or associated wiring during dismantling, handling, or refixing shall be repaired or replaced by the contractor at no extra cost to the Department.

S&F nitrile rubber insulation (closed-cell type) of 19 mm thickness in one layer, fixed on duct/piping surface using approved adhesive compound, sealing all joints with weather-proof self-adhesive tape, complete including surface cleaning, adhesive, tape, labour, and scaffolding, all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

S&F in repairs wire netting of G.I. wire 24 gauge with 12 mm mesh size fixed with tinned tacks/staples over entire duct insulation with 50 mm overlap for preventing rat bites, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and Fix in replacement of MS - CRC 18 gauge, powder coated square perforated suction/fresh air supply diffuser grills of outer size 450 × 450 mm and collar 280 mm fixed to duct for proper supply to the room and suction of air from the same complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

S&F in replacement of MS-CRC 18 gauge, powder coated square perforated suction/fresh air supply diffuser grills of outer size 370×370 mm with collar 180–220 mm fixed to duct for supply and return air, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

S&F closed-cell nitrile rubber insulation 32 mm thick, highly flexible, Class ‘O’ fire-rated, with aluminium foil facing on one side, having water-vapour diffusion resistance ≥ 7000 µ and thermal conductivity ≤ 0.037 W/m·K at 20 °C, conforming to BS 476 Part 6 & 7, UL 94 HB/V-0, and FM 4924 standards. Insulation to be fixed on ducts/pipes using approved adhesive compound, with all longitudinal and transverse joints sealed using compatible weather-proof self-adhesive tape, ensuring vapour-tight and continuous finish. Note:Work includes surface cleaning, cutting, fitting, adhesive, tape, scaffolding, labour and all materials, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for application of chemical synthetic rubber adhesive suitable for HVAC insulation works, applied between insulation and ceiling surfaces in two uniform coats to ensure proper bonding and prevent air leakages, conforming to ASTM D2196 with viscosity range 100–150 cPs at 30°C and tack retention time ≤10 minutes. Adhesive shall be low-viscosity, high-strength, quick-drying, and compatible with closed-cell elastomeric insulation materials complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note : The work includes surface preparation, cleaning, mixing, application tools, labour, scaffolding, and all materials,

Removal and disposal of unutilized glass wool lying above false ceiling of auditorium including collection and cleaning of deteriorated polythene wrapping, making the ceiling area neat and clean using suitable equipment, complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

(Note for Item 9.00 above): a) The cleaning shall be carried out in the presence of the Engineer-in-Charge. b) All removed material shall be disposed of by the contractor at his own cost. c) The contractor shall ensure safety of labour during execution. d) Rate quoted shall be inclusive of removal, handling, transportation, and disposal. e) Contractor shall visit site before quoting rates for the above item.

M&L for robotic cleaning of air handling ducts internally including removal and refixing of HEPA filters in high sterile zones (OT/ICU areas) after cleaning, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

S&F in replacement of fire damper actuator 10 Nm, 24/230 V AC, spring return type with auxiliary switch, complete as per site requirement and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for repair to existing control panel from input 230V to output 24V including temperature sensor, wiring,including testing and commissioning of fire damper system, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for cleaning of air ducts (G.I./Aluminium) by removing dust, dirt, and microbial deposits using mechanical cleaning equipment, including air compressor, air jet nozzles, flippers, vacuum pump, and suction blower with super-fine filtration system, ensuring ducts are thoroughly cleaned and air quality verified before and after cleaning. Note : Work includes labour, machinery, tools, consumables, scaffolding, and safe disposal of collected dust, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge..

Taking down old unserviceable fire damper and S&F new motorized fire damper with 150 mm frame and 30 mm flange made from 16G G.I. sheet with fusible link, conforming to existing size and specification, complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

S&F in repair plain false ceiling system under air-conditioning duct area, comprising 600×600 mm tiles (as per IS:2095–1996 Part-I) of 0.7 mm thick pre-coated galvanised aluminium, supported on powder-coated G.I. T-grid framework with main and cross tees (1200 mm & 600 mm) having 32 mm web height, and perimeter wall angles 19×19 mm fixed with nylon sleeves and screws at 450 mm centres,Ceiling shall be suspended by 4 mm dia G.I. wires at 1220 mm centres using 12 mm dia fancy type steel anchor fasteners (80 mm long) fixed to the soffit, ensuring a true level and secure suspension,Work includes all fittings, grid alignment, levelling, labour, and scaffolding, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

S&F in repair 8mm thick 600x600mm size gypsum prelaminated tiles false ceiling on aluminium anodized snap grid of size 605 mm x 605 mm with aluminium anodized angle 20 mm x 20 mm x 1.2 mm fixed to wall along the perimeter of ceiling with the help of nylon sleeves & screws, at 610mm centres and main and cross tees of size 31.75 mm x 31.75 mm x 1.6mm & 25.4 mm x 25.4 mm x 1.22 mm respectively with ceiling cleats / angle brackets of size 15 mm x 15 mm x 1.5 mmincluding 4 mm dia. G.l.wire suspended from the soffit at 1220 mm centres (upto 1200 mm length maximum) fixed to roof slabs by means of 12 mm dia fancy type steel anchor fastner hook 80 mm long complete all as specified and directed.
