SH-I: R&M of GLF at Chennai Airport. (A): Works
Supply and laying of 50 mm dia (OD) HDPE pipe of PN 6, PE 80 grade ISI marked conforming to IS:4984 along with all its necessary accessories like couplers etc., in runway/taxiway/apron shoulder for connecting transformer housing boxes by groove cutting with groove cutting machine on bitumen / concrete surface to a suitable depth, chipping the slot with hammering machine i/c jointing of pipe & filling the gaps with bitumen /cement concrete and making good the surface with original finish etc., complete as required and as per the instruction of Engineer-in-charge.

Supply and Laying of 90mm dia PE 100 PN 10 HDPE Pipes by single horizontal drilling of suitable dia in the operational area with depth range at 2.5 to 3 mtr including opening of manholes / pits on both sides, reaming, drilling, jointing of pipes, providing all required machines (HDD machine, mud mixer, earth mover etc.) and specialised manpower, closing of manholes / pits after laying the pipes etc as required.
Supplying and laying of 25mm size ISI marked 'B' class GI pipe and accessories for taking secondary lead from inset fittings to the transformer housing box installed outside the runway shoulder by groove cutting with Groove Cutting machine on the concrete/bitumen runway surface at a depth upto 40 mm to match the cable entry hole of inset fitting shallow base and width to accommodate the pipe including smooth bending of pipe as per requirement, chipping the slot, alignment and fixing the pipe including connecting to inset light shallow box using coupling/connectors etc., as per requirement, closing the slot with cold bituminous mix road bond (Hincol make or equivalent) (i/c supply) i/c applying rapid emulsion RS1 to match the existing runway / taxiway surface etc., complete as required.
Fabrication & Supply of MS Transformer Housing Box of size 330x330x300 mm, made out of 8mm thick MS sheet on four sides and bottom, 10mm thick MS sheet for top cover having clear hole of 216 mm dia with 6 Nos. M10 size threaded holes on the top for fixing of fixture base plate; 01 No. 25 mm dia drain hole in bottom and entry hole on two/three/four sides suitable to receive 40/50/63mm dia of GI/HDPE pipe entry for incoming and outgoing cables, two Nos. cadmium plated earthing bolts with nuts and washers etc. including painting with one coat of red oxide paint and two coats of black enamel paint finish etc. as required.
Fabrication & Supply of MS Rectangular Transformer Housing Box of size 750x400x330 mm, made out of 8mm thick MS sheet on four sides and bottom, 10mm thick MS sheet for top cover with 8 Nos. M-10 size threaded hole, 1 No. 25mm dia drain hole at the bottom and suitable holes to enable entry of 40/50/63/90mm dia GI/HDPE pipe and secondary leads, (2 Nos. partition plates of 200mm high inside the box made of 8mm thick MS Sheet) with rubber gaskets for top cover, two Nos. cadmium plated earthing bolts with nuts etc. including painting with one coat of red oxide paint and two coats of black enamel paint finish etc. as required.

Installation of Inset light fittings in the concrete/bitumen surface by core cutting with suitable core cutting machine tool for the required size for fixing the shallow box, alignment of the box to match with the runway surface, fixing it using Dobefil compound with hardener, fixing of top assembly on the shallow box, connecting the plug and receptacles of inset fitting with isolation transformer, making all electrical connections, making good the surface to the original finish, testing and commissioning of the whole inset fittings etc., complete as required. (Fitting, Isolation Transformer and connector kits will be supplied by department)
Supply of Internally Illuminated LED based Mandatory / Information Guidance Sign Boards of various sizes and depth not less than 150mm made out of 4mm thick glare free polycarbonate sheet at front facia having the required details (letters and symbols) screen printed on self adhesive film of 3M make/equivalent and pasted inside of the polycarbonate sheet and body made of 2mm thick anodised aluminium profile reinforced by 50mmX50mm Aluminium/Aluminium Alloy Structure on other five sides with sufficient No. of 50mm dia aluminium legs of 5.5mm thick fixed with Al brackets of 5mm thick and frangible couplings, uniformly internally illuminated with adequate No. of LED Modules of LED of burning hours not less than 50,000 spacing not more than 100mm with suitable rated weather proof Power Converter (IP 67) to achieve required illumination level, suitable for operation on airfield series circuit input source of 2.8A-6.6A to give constant brightness for all current variation without flickering, with all other accessories such as MS base plate of 16 mm thick with 16mm dia 250mm length foundation bolts and nuts of SS Materials etc., complete as required and conforming to ICAO/FAA Requirements etc., as required.
Supply and fixing of 4mm thick glare free polycarbonate sheet at front facia, the letters & symbols made out of 3M film, made by computerized cutting and pasting on the polycarbonate sheet, pasted from inside/outside with required colouring to make mandatory /informatory guidance signage on existing sign boards installed in operational area as per ICAO Annex - 14 Volume 1 and as approved by Engineer-In-Charge complete as required.

Removal of old isolation transformer housing boxes from different locations in runway/taxiway/edge area after dismantling from concrete foundation, refilling of excavated concrete runway portion with cement concrete of 1:2:4 and quick setting sealant to match with runway surface, making good the runway/taxiway to the original shape, removal of all the debris from site, transportation of fittings to AAI store, stacking etc., as per the direction of Engineer in Charge complete as required.
Dismantling of HIRL/MIRL fixtures on the existing runway/taxiway circuit etc., with all its accessories and transportation of fittings to AAI store, stacking etc., as per the direction of Engineer in Charge complete as required.
Dismantling of existing AFL cables from existing pipes and transportation of dismantled cables from operational area to AAI store, stacking etc., as per the direction of Engineer in Charge complete as required.
Retrieval of existing 40/50 mm dia B class G.I. pipe from the concrete/bituminous surface i/c cutting and making good the runway/taxiway to the original shape and strength etc., including transportation to AAI store, stacking etc., as per the direction of Engineer in Charge complete as required.
Fabrication and Supply of 10 mm thick MS dummy plate of 260 mm dia suitable for isolation transformer box with 06 Nos. of threaded holes including supply of 6 Nos. of M-10 SS Bolts with washers etc., complete as required.
Cleaning of cable crossing manhole chamber of size not more than 2m x 2m x 3m and disposal of the debris etc., as required and as per the direction of the Engineer-in-Charge.
Removing of existing 1 No. broken bolt from the transformer housing boxes with drilling machine, making new holes by drilling, tapping etc. to enable fixing of M10 bolts as required

Supply and Fixing of pre-cast RCC manhole chamber of size 1000 mm X 1000 mm X 600 mm deep with wall thickness of 100 mm along with suitable RCC slab cover having 100 mm thickness with lifting hooks making as per site requirements including providing PCC base of grade 1:3:6 of 100 mm thickness at the bottom, required excavation, refilling, ramming etc., complete as required.

SH-III: R &M of Electrical Installations in operational area at Chennai Airport. (A) Works
Maintenance of High masts (height 10-30 metres) which includes lowering of highmast lantern carriage, checking, adjustment and replacement of all mechanical components like wire rope, trailing cable, drum, winch, power tool etc., if required (Materials will be given by the department). Checking and adjustment of electrical components like cable, luminaries etc., and replace if required and raising the lantern carriage to the top, testing and commissioning etc., as required.

Dismantling of unserviceable winch gear assembly from the high mast, complete overhauling of the winch gear assembly i/c replacement of parts such as shaft, bearing, oil seals and filling up with lubricating oil etc., and refixing the winch gear assembly i/c. testing and commissioning etc., as required.
Dismantling of drive motor from the high mast, cleaning, greasing and painting of the motors, reinstallation in the high mast i/c testing and commissioning etc., as required.
Dismantling of unserviceable / burntout motor of rating upto 1.5HP motor from the high mast, complete dismantling of burntout motor stator winding and thorough cleaning of stator slots, Rewinding the stator with Class 'F' polyester coated super enameled copper wire and insulating materials i/c baking, varnishing, finishing and refixing the stator in the motor frame. Replacement of both end bearings and reinstallation in the high mast i/c testing and commissioning etc. as required. (Dismantled copper wire is to be retained by the contractor)
ITC of 2m height tubular swaged pole with base plate in cement concrete foundation of size 750 mm below ground level and 300 above ground level with base of 100 mm 1:3:6 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand : 6 graded stone aggregate 40 mm nominal size) and foundation 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand : 4 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size) including excavation, shuttering and provision of foundation bolts and nuts, installation of LED light fixture, supply and laying of required length 3x 1.5 Sq.mm copper cable multi core cable connections etc., complete as required as per instructions of Engineer-In-Charge.
Supply and Installation of 2m x 2m MS Barricade made out of ISMB 150 channel around the high mast with 4 Nos. of ISMB 150 Channels mounting 750mm above ground level and 450mm below ground level for vertical support including excavation of soil, providing 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand : 4 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size) cement concrete and disposal of the excavated soil etc. including welding, painting with one coat of zinc chromate and two coats of polyurethane paint of colour red and white etc. complete as required as per the instructions of Engineer-In-Charge.
