REPAIR/ REPLACEMENT OF UNSERVICEABLE UG CABLE, MCCB ETC AND REPAIR/ REPLACEMENT OF STREET LIGHTS, UNSERVICEABLE CABLES AT KALPAKKAM

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5 mtrs wide and not exceeding 1.5 mtr deep in hard /dense soil for laying underground cables, laying pipes etc. complete all as specified and directed.

Returning filling in including spreading levelling watering and well ramming in layres not exceeding 25 cm thick in hard/ dense soil complete all as specified and directed.

Removing surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50 m and depositing at a level not exceeding 1.5m above the starting point all as specified and directed.

Supply and lay fine sand cushion in trenches for cable protection, spreading, levelling, Punning and consolidating complete all as specified.

Supply and laying un re-inforced precast concrete cable cover, class LV, type-I flat, size 250 mmx150 mmx40 mm in trenches over and across the cable complete all as specified.

Taking down old unserviceable old damaged GI pipe and S&F new GI pipe light grade of size 40mm dia for protection of UG cable on walls/under floors/road crossings/in trenches including taking down old unserviceable earthing GI pipe for taking into credit complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge complete.

Taking down old unserviceable old damaged GI pipe and S&F new GI pipe light grade of size 50mm dia for protection of UG cable on walls/under floors/road crossings/in trenches including taking down old unserviceable earthing GI pipe for taking into credit complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge complete.

Supply and lay in trenches, fixed to wall / pole/ tray etc UG cable XLPE insulated armoured heavy duty electric UG cable of cross sectional area of size 4 Core 16 Sqmm with aluminum conductor 1100 volts grade all as specified and as directed.

Disconnecting taking out from trenches / pole out lived LT UG cable of size as mentioned under Item No.08 to 14 above and taking old unserviceable LT UG into credit complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge complete. Note : Excavation and earth work will be measured and paid separately.

M&L for providing earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 60×60cm.× 6mm thick, buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 metres deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less'than 1.5 metres below normal ground level, connected to galvanised iron earth strip size 25 x 4 mm by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron or steel all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 connected to earthing test point all as specified or indicated including testing on completion.

M&L for providing earthing complete with copper plate electrode 600 mm x 600 mm x3.15mm thick buried directly in ground earth pit not less than 2.25 Mtr deep below ground level with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 Mtr below normal ground level ,Alternate layers of charcoal) & common salt Crystal and connected to Copper earth strip 20x3mm by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts & washers of copper and connecting to earth dolly all as shown in electrical plate No. 3of SSR Part I of 2009 & testing complete including 40mm dia light grade GI pipe upto 7.5mtr long, excavation in any type of strata, PCC ( 1:3:6 ) type C1 earthing chamber, pre cast slab 50 mm thick in cement concrete ( 1: 2 : 4 ) type B 1 ( reinforced with welded steel wire fabric (XPM) weight not less than 4 Kg / Sqm with frame, test box , including 20 mm bore water pipe medium grade GI Tubing including GI Funnel , wire mesh etc. ( NOTE :- Earth continuity conductor and GI protection pipe beyond 7.5m shall be measured and paid under the respective items ).all as directed by Engineer- in charge.

Test point terminal box made out of Gun metal or Phosphorous bronze of size 75x75x25mm drilled and screwed including 3 Nos. 8mm dia 25mm long hex head screws including taking down old unserviceable test point terminal box for taking into credit complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge .
