Job Order for soil investigation and consultancy at AF Stn Kasuali under GE AF Chandigarh

1. To carry out standard penetration test at site as per relevant IS, in 100 mm dia bore holes upto 6m depth or refusal level (N>50) whichever is earlier in all type of soil, or pitting upto 2m depth or refusal level in case of gravelly soil, performance of SPT/DCPT at specified intervals, collection of soil samples distributed and un-distributed at 1.5 m intervals and their complete lab testing as per IS for 02 pits - 02 Jobs (a) Classification of soil, Grain size distribution. (b) Atterburg’s limit. (c) Natural water content. (d) Cohesion. (e) Angle of friction. {f) Specific gravity. (g) Wet & dry Bulk density. (h) Evaluation of bearing capacity for open foundation & recommendation for RCC framed structure. (j) Bore hole strata logs etc, to base the allowance bearing capacity on shear strength as well as on settlement considerations. 2. Conducting design calculations for the building (Guard room D/S & shed in hilly terrain) structure as per relevant BIS and preparing structural and architectural drawing as per directions of the Engineer in Charge, incl preparation of BoQ and submission of drawings and report in three Nos hard copies and one soft copy in the form of CD to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer in Charge - 01 Job 3. Getting the structure calculations verified and vetted from a Government Engineering College/ National Institute of technology - 01 Job
