Mobile Storage Compactor: Providing and fixing of Double way mobile storage compactor having size – 2400 mm(H) x 1830mm(w) x 457mm (D), Body parts shall be made of 0.8 mm thick CRCA quality steel, the panels of the body be assembled using interlocking/ screw less technology. System shall be having 4 shelves, high grade epoxy polymer powder coating in 50 microns in desired colour, with label holders for easy retrieval, user friendly PU steering handle with spinner knob and rigid under-carriage platform made with extruded channels for “zero” deflection. The compactors details shall be as under: The material used for components shall be prime quality M.S Material confirming to IS 1079 Grade as required and designed for such components. (i) All fasteners to be used, shall be of electro galvanized confirming to IS 3655–1985. Chemical mechanical properties confirming to IS 1367–1979. (ii) Base frame shall be made of cold formed channel & angle section of 2.5mm thick HRC material and confirming to IS 1079. (iii) The guide rails comprise of solid square 25mm (Bright bar) in ground finish, press fit in to cold formed „U‟ channel made from 2mm thick material and confirming to IS 1079. This type of channel shall be fastened with the floor by means of fasteners. (iv) Drive Mechanism shall be provided externally supported on special grade anti-friction bearings to have smooth and effortless movement. Entire mechanism shall be incorporated within the drive cover panel provided in the front of the unit. (a)Each compactor moves on MS solid wheels and 40mm bearings. (b)Each wheel shall be supported with a pair of self-aligned heavy-duty pillow block bearings. (c)The drive mechanism comprises of sprocket & chain transmission arrangement. (d)The chain is shall be 12 mm thick traction chain of approved make. (e)The drive mechanism shall be fixed on the internal front side of the compactor system and is concealed from all sides from the safety point of view. (vi)Super structure of the Mobile Storage System shall be collapsible and knocks down type. Each component of the compactor such as shelves, front panels, end panel, upright frame, centre partition etc., shall act as an integral member of the unit as whole. (vii)Drive wheel shall be a specially designed steering wheel of PU moulding for strength and is suitable for both hot and cold weather. This is mounted on a gear box which ultimately gives a smooth movement to the System with minimum effort. (viii)Body shall be made of 0.8 mm thick CRCA quality steel. The panels of the body should be assembled using interlocking/ screw less technology. The front of the body should be provided with structural reinforcement. (ix)Drive cover panel shall be box type made out of 0.9 mm thick C.R.C.A. prime quality steel and confirm to IS 513 to cover the entire drive mechanism completely. (x)Boltless type shelves shall be made of 0.8mm thick C.R.C.A, quality steel having 8 folds, supported with 1.2 mm thick welded stiffener, each designed to carry a U.D.L. of 80 Kgs. (xi)The centre partitions comprised of a full C.R.C.A. prime quality 0.8mm thick sheet. (xii)Central locking system shall be provided with centralized locking arrangement on the last unit when all the units are brought together: centre lock when operated gets locked with floor and does not allow access to the units. (xiii)All the items shall be duly powder coated in the manufacture’s workshop. Marks if any during transportation will be touched up at site to match the surface. All components are given 7 steps anti corrosive treatment. Each component of the system is subject to powder coating in required finish & curing through oven baking at 180°C-200°C for a period of 15-20 minutes. (xiv)Each system shall be provided with stoppers on either ends of the rails to prevent the compactor unit from moving away from the rails. P/Fixing of following compactor in storage system in customized requirement wherever necessary shall be done as per direction of Engineer-in-charge for which no extra cost will be paid.
