CARBON STEEL PIPES ( Laying of Multiple Pipelines of API 5l X 70 600# -5.4km, API 5l X 52 300# -5.4km,125mm MDPE-5.4km in a single trench)
PIPELINE LAYING / INSTALLATION in normal surface/unprepared surface (Katcha Surface) Receiving and taking over as defined in the specifications, handling, loading, transportation and unloading of Owner supplied 3-Layer PE coated and bare line pipes from Owner's designated stack-yard to Contractor's stock yard/workshop-site including preliminary activities, preparation of drawings, wherever required for crossing etc. including handling, stacking, stringing on the pipeline Right of Use/ pipeline route allignment, carrying out inspection of company supplied material including linepipes, associated burried valves, barred tees, insulating joints, flanges & fittings of all sizes, thickness & ANSI class rating and accessories as per the specification wherever required depending on site condition including execution of all works, 'taking over' , handling, including loading and unloading, transportation of Owner supplied materials other than linepipes from Owner's designated place (s) of issue to work site
additional lands required for execution of work,Contractor's storage, fabrication, access for construction, procurement and supply of all materials (except Owner supplied materiais), consumables, equipment, labour and other inputs, carrying out alt temporary, ancillary, auxiliary works, ready for commissioning of pipeline as per drawings, specifications, other provisions of Contract document and instructions of Engineer-in-charge, including but not limited to carrying out the following works:
Trenching to all depths by excavation in all types of soils including soft hard rock and different type of pavement / footpath / roads etc. including rock breaking, chiselling or otherwise cutting etc. as required and storing excavated soil, reusable materials at designated area as directed by Engineer in charge and to a width to accommodate the pipeline. The minimum depth of the top of pipeline shall be as per the drawing no-REPL/MNGL/ENG/SLP/LP/02REV0 or SCCI OISD - 141 / 226/relevant code, whichever is higher. Dewater of trenches if required as per site condition.
Carrying out repairs of pipe defects/ replacement in case of irreparable defects and repairs of defects of pipe coating not attributable to Owner including defects/ damages occurring during transportation / handling.
Stringing of line pipes along pipeline trench / ROU on straw / sand / soft soil bags including supply of bags and its filling materials.
Checking, cleaning, aligning, bending, cutting and bevelling (as required) of pipes for welding and field adjustments including pipe fittings, welding, canying out non-destructive testing of welds as required including 100% radiography by X-ray and providing all requisite equipment, labour, supervision, materials, films, consumables, all facilities and personnel to process, develop, examine and interpret radiographs and other tests as required, carrying out repairs of weld joints found defective by Engineer-in-Charge, carrying out re-radiography and other tests as required on repaired joints.
Carrying out installation of carrier line pipe at all minor crossing viz. carttrack, pathway, water bodies etc. at designated depth by open cut (except at crossing by HDD method and cased crossing).
Carrying out installation of carrier tine pipe in the casing pipe is covered seperately alongwith installation of casing pipes at cased crossing,
Coating of field weld joints, long radius bends (R=3D/1.5D), elbows, buried fittings and valves etc, including supply of coating materials etc. (i.e. heat shrinkable sleeves and high build epoxy etc.) as per PJS & Technical Specification compatible with 3 layer PE coating material of the line pipe.
Counting the number and type of trees cut in presence of DFO/concemed authorities and keeping record thereof, stacking and handing over of all cut tress.
Supply and installation of slope breakers, wherever required or, as directed by Owner / Engineer-in-charge.
Crossing the all-foreign pipeline / HT line / cable / any other utilities etc. with necessary concrete / HDPE Sheet protection or as approved by Authority including coordination with all agencies and obtaining NOC)
Supply and installation of bank protection alongwith backfill materials duly approved by EIC for pipeline trench and banks falls under minor water body crossing as per technical specification & Std. Drg. wherever required or, as directed by Owner/-EIC.
Training and diversions of streams in steep slope area, wherever required.
Carrying out air cleaning, pigging, flushing, cleaning and hydrostatic testing of complete pipeline (both the Pipelines seperately) with required quantity of corrosion inhibitor including pre-testing of designated sections complete as per -- Specification and approved by Engineer in charge to specified pressures indicated elsewhere and duration after stabilization as per specification, providing all equipment, pumps, fittings, instrurnents, dead weight teşter, pressure recorder, thermocouples etc., and services, supervision, labour, consumables, water including supply of corrosion inhibitor, air, etc. as required, íocating of leaks and rectification of defect Jattributable to Contractor (rectification of defects in linepipe material not attributable to contractor shall be paid separately as per other item of schedule of rate), re-testing after rectification, dewatering after successful completion of hydrotesting of entire section and as approved by Engineer-in-charge.
Note : Leak detection, its rectification and successfully re-hydrotesting shall be carried out by Contractor with a view that completion of all activity for successful hydrotesting is not inordinately extended, which will hamper the overall project schedule. Further, no extra payment claim shall be entertained for re-hydrotesting and leak detection if defects found attributable to Contractor.
All tieing-in, including the tie-in(s) of the pipeline with the adjacent sections of pipeline including cutting of test header, rebevelling as required, radiography and other NDT examination, joint coating as per specification
Final clean-up of right-of-use or area disturbed by contractor during their construction activities for laying of pipeline works and disposal of debris and surplus material to designated disposal areas and backfilling of trench and compaction of the same as per satisfaction of Owner and / Or as directed by Engineer–in-charge.
Preparation of as-built drawings, pipe-books (1 sel of tracing on polyester film and 6 sets of as-built drawings and 1 soft copy and 6 hard copies of pipe book) All the works shall be executed in accordance with the provision of contract including carrying out alt temporaryl ancillaryl auxiliary works required for the performance of the works and all other acts, deeds, matters and things necessary to make the pipeline ready for precommissioning activities.

This item shall be applicable for the underground steel grid main pipeline & branch pipeline, barred tees, insulating joints, bends, flanges & fittings, accessories etc. (i.e, including arrangement for making provision for tap-off on proposed steel grid main pipeline) and aboveground approach pipeline upto Insulating Joint (excluding installation of aboveground insulating joint) for various stations.
In above item, restoration works are excluded from contractor's scope, except certain restoration works detailed in clause no. 16C. (V) of 3a. Particular Job Specification under Vol.-I of III. Since restoration works for backfilled pipeline trench shall be done by the concerned authorities / Owner.

PIPELINE LAYING / INSTALLATION in a built-up surface / Hard surface Raking up of hard surface of any type including metal, concrete, bituminous, tiled, brick lined soft rock which is breakable in pieces manually (without use of pneumatic machine) etc. All tiles/ slabs/ curb stones etc. removed during excavation shall be placed properly. The other activities are as per SOR 1.1. Payment for cutting of hard rock, if any, is covered unders SOR no. 7.0

Permission Liastoning /Follow-up
Liasioning & follow up for Permission with all the concerned authorities & boards viz Railways, NH, Local Municipal, Panchyat, Electricity, REC, RES, Sewage water, Drinking water, Forest, Social Forestry, Private Land Owners,Owners of OFC, Traffic, Law & Order, Fire Brigade, Private Land Owner etc. for entire pipeline length and associated terminals (like SVs, tap-offs) alongwith associated work as per tender.
Laying of RCC Tiles
Providing single layer of RCC Tiles with supply of RCC Tiles to entire width of trench above Warning Mat placed in trench over the laid pipeline as per standard drawing, specification and instruction of Owner. (Rate to include cost of all labour, tools, tackles, equipment, hire charges & supply of all materials, etc.)
For width of entire trench as per the drawing no-REPL/MNGL/ENG/SLP/LP/02REV0 or SCCI OISD - 141 / 226/relevant code, whichever is higher
Barricading to comply with HSSE
Steel barricading of the trenches Cautionary Sign Boards and lighting arrangement shall be provided as per attched drawing no.MNGUPIng./steet/04. The rates include barricading of trenches along with sign boards, lighting etc. and maintain the same till the back filling of the trench. Rates will be payable per metre of BARRICADING PROVIDED. If proper barricading is not provided, MNGL will barricade the trenches at the risks and costs of the CONTRACTOR and will levy penalty of twice the rate per unit for the relevant section of the pipeline apart from other actions as per contract.
RESTORATION OF ROADS Restoration of asphalt / concrete / red stone roads / pavement/Footpath/Paver block including compaction of soil, to original condition as per requirement and to the entire satisfaction of EIC and / or concerned Owners having jurisdiction for following thickness.
Restoration of Asphalt road upto 10 cm thickness

CROSSING OF STEEL PIPELINE BY JACKING/ BORING / HDD / OPEN CUT / THROUGH HUME- PIPES
By Boring - Complete work of the other road crossings (between the limits as defined at site and decided by Engineer-in-charge) including supply of casing pipe duly coal tar expoy coated of mininum 300 micron of size 400 mm NB x 6.4 mm thk, 300 mm NB x 6.4 mm thk, 200 mm NB x 6.4mm thk., confirming to API 5L Gr. B / IS:3589 or equivalent ERW pipe including handling, loading, transportation, unloading to Contractor's own stock yard/ work site. Pre-construction survey and making of crossing drawing based on site visit and getting their approval from concerned Authority/ Engineer-in-charge prior to start the execution of work.
Preparation of required length of carrier pipeline welded string including all other works as mentioned in item no. 1.0 above and specification/ drawings. Insertion of carrier pipeline welded string including all other works as mentioned in item no. 1.0 above and as per specification/ drawings. Insertion of carrier pipe in casing pipe after abvoe ground pretesting at specified test pressure and supply & installation of casing insulators as per specification/ drawings. Insatllation of vent and drain assembly, fixing of end seals, backfilling and restoration as original of the facilities crossed and performing all other works including pigging, cleaning, final hydrotesting etc. alongwith mainline works (as mentioned in item no. 1.0 above) and as per specification, approved procedure, drawing etc. and instruction of Engineer-in-charge and provision of contract document, getting NOC from all concemed Authority of the facilities crossed.
Installation of casing pipe by jacking/ boring/ for rail/ road and other unspecified crossings in all type of sub soil condition including soft / hard rock and open cut for adjacent service road, canal, minor nature of water channel, utility line crossing (if any) wherever required for all depth in all type of soils and terrain for carrier pipe insertion . All other Contractor supplied materials like casing insulators and casing end seals as per enclosed specification/ drawings, materials for casing vents and drain assembly etc. including supply of all other materials, equipments, consumables, manpower, welding including visual inspection of all weld joints.
Crossing By Boring and Jacking Method (Including NH/SH/Railway/Other Roads) Road Crossings at various locations by Boring and Jacking Method (including supply of casing pipe) along with laying of 4'' Steel Pipe for MDPE if necessary as decided by EIC at site as per concerned authority requirement.

ALONG / CROSSINGS BY HDD METHOD
Complete work of the any crossing (between the limits are defined as approved drawings) by HDD method including "Receiving and taking over" owner supplied three layer PE coated line pipes from Owner's designated place to issue/ dump site(s) and transportation to Contractor's stock yard/ work shop/ work site including all handling loading, unloading, aligning etc. supply of all Contractor supplied material, manpower, equipment, other resources and aquiring the required land for execution of work,storage, fabrication inclduing string preparation of pipes, welding, welding repair, radiography, coating of field joints with special type Heat Shrink Sleeve and repair of pipeline coating with special repair patch materials as per specification,pre-testing etc. of complete string made for crossing access for Contractor etc and execution of, but not limited to, following works in accordance with specifications scope of work and instructions of Engineer-in-charge and as per all provision of Contract Document.
Pre-construction surveys based on site visit, collection of historical data from irrigation/ concerned department including design & calculation and detail engineering and making of crossing drawing for getting their approval from concerned Authority/ Engineer-in-charge, getting work permit/ NOC for water crossings/ road crossings as well as utility crossings (if any) encountered during crossing prior to start the execution of work.
Directional drilling to required depth from top of road including maintenance of drill hole in all types of strata ( other than hard rock, crossing by HDD in hard rock is covered seperately) at all depth to accommodate the pipeline at all conditions encountered during rail/ road crossing by approved HDD methods for providing minimum cover specified in code/ specification or the actual depth as decided by concerned authority, whichever is more.
In case of water crossing, drilling to the required depth on the banks and bed including maintenance of drill hole in all types of strata (other than hard rock, crossing by HDD in hard rock is covered seperately) all depth to accommodate the pipeline a by HDD methods for providing with minimum cover over top of the pipe at all point across the maximum possible width of water bed (as per drawing) either 1.5 mtrs. below the predicted scour profile expected during the life time of the pipeline or 2.5 mtrs. below the available lowest firm bed (if scour profile/ depth not available) of the water crossing by ascertaining bed level upto 50 mtrs. both the side from crossing location or the actual depth as decided by concerned Authority/ Engineer-in-charge whichever is more.
Laying of the pipeline by the approved HDD method across the crossing including, strings preparation of pipes, welding, testing, radiography, welding repair and retest, coating of field joints with special type Dirax Heat Shrink Sleeve or equivalent and repair of pipeline coating with special PERP-80 repair patch or equivalent material as per specification, pre-hydrotest of complete strings made for crossing etc.
Backfilling of the ditch/ trench including restoration and clean-up of area etc. to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge/ Concerned Authority and all other works including pigging, cleaning, final hydrotesting etc. alongwith mainline works (as mentioned in item no. 1.0 above) required as per specification, approved drawings, calculations, methods and to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge and/or as directed by concerned Authority.
Post installation hydrotest dewatering and tie-in with pipeline at either side of crossing/banks etc.
All other works including pigging, cleaning, final hydrotesting etc. alongwith mainline works (as mentioned in item no. 1.0 above) required as per specifications, codes, approved drawings, calculations, methods and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Crossing of River/Road/water/ canal/ nallah/ drain/ channel crossings by carrier pipeline of size 10"NB x 6.4 mm thk. of API 5L X-70 by HDD Method
Crossing of Road/water body/canal/nallah/ drain/ channel crossings by carrier pipeline of size 250 mm NB x 6.4 mm thk. of API X-52 (along with laying of 4'' Steel Pipe for MDPE if necessary) by HDD Method .
Installation of carrier pipes by rock drilling for Road/water/Canal/ nallah/ drain/ channel/along the road, or wherever required in all types of hard rock. It includes survey of the underground utilities, submission of profile for approval, execution of the work as per the standard procedure, including , excavation of the pits, insertion/pulling of the carrier pipe, removal of malba, subsequent backfilling and restoration of the facility crossed as per original condition, including supply of all other materials, equipment, consumables, manpower etc including string preparation of pipes, welding, welding repair, radiography, coating of field joints with special type of Heat Shrink Sleeve (Direx) and repair of pipeline coating with special repair patch materials as per Specification, pre-testing etc. of complete string made for crossing/ laying access for Contractor etc. and execution of, but not limited to, following works in accordance with specifications and instruction of Engineer-in-Charge and as per all provision of Contract Document. Balance activities as defined in SOR Item of open trench. Note:The length of HDD mentioned is tentative and may vary to the considerable extent depending upon requirements as per site conditions. The length mentioned in SOR is indicative for all the crossing to be done by HDD, numbers and locations shall be decided by Engineer-in-Charge depending upon site condition. Payment for the length of final tie-in carrier pipeline string with mainline laid by HDD are inclusive in this above item rate. No separate payment shall be made under other clauses mentioned elsewhere. Payment shall be based on the actual length (i.e. length between tie-in joints) of pipeline laid by HDD. Exact location of tie-in shall be approved by Owner/ Owner's representative. Above Rate for steel pipeline laying is inclusive of carrier pipe string preparation, Welding, NDT, Pretesting, Coating, Post Hydrotesting, Hydrotesting, Precommissioning & etc..
Crossing of River/Road/water/ canal/ nallah/ drain/ channel crossings by carrier pipeline of size 10"NB x 6.4 mm thk. of API 5L X-70 by HDD Method
Crossing of Road/water body/canal/nallah/ drain/ channel crossings by carrier pipeline of size 250 mm NB x 6.4 mm thk. of API X-52 (along with laying of 4'' Steel Pipe for MDPE if necessary) by HDD Method .
Note: (i) Crossing width & Actual string length for HDD shall vary as per design calculations & site condition so that pipe is not under stress as permitted by codes/ specifications. However final length of string & cover from top of pipe shall be decided by concerned Authority/ Engineer-in-charge.
(ii)Payment shall be based on the actual length (i.e. length between tie-in joints) of pipeline laid by HDD. Exact location of tie-in shall be approved by Owner/ Owner's representative. Above Rate for steel pipeline laying is inclusive of carrier pipe string preparation, Welding, NDT, Pretesting, Coating, Post Hydrotesting, Hydrotesting, Precommissioning & etc.
(iii) Payment for the length of final tied-in carrier pipeline string with mainline made for crossing laid by HDD method are inclusive in the above item rate and no separate payment shall be made under other item mentioned elsewhere.
(iv) Width of above crossings indicated are tentative. The width indicated are not for any single crossings. This shall be as per requirement at site for crossing at different locations.
(v) The rates shall include bore holes for soil investigation, collection of disturbed samples from bore holes and visual engineering classification of soil at crossing location. Minimum 2 nos of bore holes ( 01 no each at both end of crossing) are required on each crossing and submission of detailed report to Company.Boreholes shall be made at locations as direct by Engineer in-charge at crossing location to find out the presence of rock strata. Boring shall be carried out in accordance with the provision of IS:1892. Minimum diameter of boring shall be 150 mm.
Note: (i) Quantity mentioned under item nos. 4.1 , 5.0 are indicative only for different location of roads/water/ canal/ nallah/ drain/ channel Crossings. (ii) Actual length & width of individual crossing and cover from top of casing pipe/ carrier pipe string may vary depending upon site condition, approved crossing drawings, specifications etc. and / or as decided by Engineer-in-charge/ Concerned Authority.
(iii) Payment for supply & installation of Zinc ribbon anode and its design excluded from above item and covered elsewhere in the SOR. (iv) Payment for the length carrier pipeline string inserted in casing pipe laid by Boring are covered separately and shall be paid under other clauses mentioned elesewhere in the SOR.

Commissioning Contractor scope shall provide all necessary assistance in term of supply of man-power, equipment, tools and tackles required amount of nitrogen for purging of entire terminal piping system including equipments etc. to the company during commissioning activities.

TEMPORARY CATHODIC PROTECTION SYSTEM
Design, detailed engineering, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the temporary Cathodic protection system using Mg/ Zn galvanic anodes to protect the external surface of 3 LPE coated entire 10km (approx.) long steel pipeline network against corrosion for design life of minimum 1 year or till commissioning of PCP system whichever is later as per standard specification No. MNGU Steel/TS/15 for temporary cathodic protection system, Scope shall also include but not limited to the following for completion of jobs
Measurement of soil resistivity along the right of way of the main pipeline route as per specification for design & installation of anodes.
Collection of additional data related to cathodic protection along the right of way of pipeline as per specifications.
Supply, installation, testing & commissioning of one set of spark gap arrestor with 2 plate Zinc grounding cell of 20 kg net weight each across each insulating joint as per specification.

However, the rating of polarisation cell (krick) shall not be less than 5 KA & number of 20 kg net weight zinc anode shall not be less than two.
Supply & installation of Zinc Ribbon Anodes at 4-8 O'Clock position in the interval of 2 metre (max.) on carrer pipes at all cased crossings i.e. railways/roads etc.
Monitoring of the protection system for 6 months.

Calibration of the instruments listed below including removal of instruments from pre-installed locations like panels, enclosure racks, fields etc. and refixing them back in respectivel required places, providing equipments, necessary test jigs, instrument air and all consumables. Calibration reports shall be prepared and to be submitted to the Purchaser/ Consultant.

Laying of MDPE pipe along with Steel pipe line Excluding supply of all MDPE pipe (PE 80/100,SDR11), but Including supply of Bends, Couplers, End caps, Tees, PE Reducer, CS to PE Fitting, Saddle Tapping, Warming mat, etc. as required to complete the job. ( Particular job specification.) "Receiving and taking over“ as defined in the specification, handling, loading, transportation and unloading of Owner supplied MDPE line pipes (PE80/100, SDR11) of all sizes (as free issue items) from Owner's designated place(s) of issue to Contractor's own stock-yard(s)/ Work Shop(s) work-site(s) including proper storing, stacking, identification, providing security & insurance cover , including supply of accessories of all sizes & thickness like Bends, Couplers, End caps, Tee, PE Reducer, CS to PE Fittings, Saddle Tapping, Warning Mat, etc..
Stringing/ uncoiling of the MDPE line pipe on the pipeline Right-of-Use, laying/ installation of MDPE line pipe alongwith steel pipeline (alongwith installation of required accessories as mentioned above) of following sizes, including executing all works; fabrication, access for construction; supply of all materials (except Owner supplied materials), consumables, labour and other incidental works and handing over the same after return of the surplus pipes to the Owner's designated stockyard(s); carrying out all temporary, ancillary. auxiliary works required to make the MDPE pipeline ready for commissioning as per drawings, specifications, scope of work indicated in PJS and other provisions of Contract document and instructions of Engineer-in-charge.

PIPING WORKS FOR SECTIONALIŞING VALVE STATION-CUM-TAP-OFF POINT All works for fabriaction and installation of all piping above ground at all elevations and below ground at all depth for Sectionalising Valve Station alongwith preparation of construction drawings duly approved by EIC, in all type of terrains and soils including transportation and handling of all Owner supplied materials i.e. extended stem butt welded sectionalising gas actuated ball valve, other types of valves, line pipes for mainline, 4" NB pipe for all branch line including ventlines from Owner's designated place(s) of issue to work site.
Contractor shall supply all required size & type of piping material like pipes, fittings & flanges etc. as per PMS alongwith 2" NB pipe for all branch line & vent line (wherever required) including supply of all consumables, manpower, machinaries, materials etc. and carrying out all mechanical works of underground and above ground piping including fabrication, welding, nondestructive testing of welds, weld repairs/ retesting, cleaning/flushing, pre-hydrotesting & hydrostatic testing, dewatering, functional testing, cutting of mainline and bevelling (if required)
assembly, including radiography of tie-in joints, corrosion, coating and external painting as required, installation of instruments like pressure/ temperature instruments/ gauges alongwith complete SS Tubing works including supply of SS Tube and thier accessories etc., as required, obtaining all statutory clearances, approvals and permissions for the works (wherever required), making of valve pit (for detail refer relevant drawings) for SV Stationscum-tap-off points enclosed with tender filled with sand, excavation and filling in all types of soils including soft/ hard rock for installation of piping pipe supports providing pipe supports, area fencing and gate including all associated civil and structural works; painting, finishing, clean-up and restoration of site; preparation of as-built drawings, documents and project records and performing all works as per drawings, specifications, other provisions of Contract document and instructions of Engineer-in charge. In this item, instead of Brick Work RCC will be done
