Milling/ Cutting of existing Bituminous surface on road or similar pavement in patches of required shape, depth and width where the overlay is proposed to be laid by deploying pavement milling machine with attachment of conveyor belt system. The rate inclusive of loading the milled materials directly to the truck by conveyor belt with adequate lead and lift, cleaning and dressing milled road surfaces, cleaning the spilled mateirals etc., complete as per direction of engineer in charge. The rate inclusive of disposing the collected milled materials out side the campus. B/F page no:4
Providing and laying bituminous macadam using crushed stone aggregates of specified grading premixed with bituminous binder, transported to site by tippers, laid over a previously prepared surface with paver finisher equipped with electronic sensor to the required grade, level and alignment and rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers as per specifications to achieve the desired compaction and density , complete as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-Charge. 50 to 100 mm average compacted thickness with bitumen of grade VG-30 @ 3.50% (percentage by weight of total mix) prepared in Batch Type Hot Mix Plant of 100-120 TPH capacity
Providing and applying tact coat using bitumen emulsion RS conforming to IS:8887, using emulsion pressure distributer including preparing the surface & cleaning with mechanical broom. On bituminous surface @ 0.25kg/Sqm. As per MORTH specification No.503
Over bitumen surface-supply and applying of Centreline/Edge line Road marking / speed breaker marking of size (1.85*0.75m) over speed breaker using thermoplastic paint (manufactured by Brand: RST / Automark or equivalent approved by Engineer incharge)(Hot Application) White/Yellow by indigenous modern propeller road marking machine with a single coat of 2.5mm thickness as directed by the Engineer incharge including cost and conveyance, all ingredients such as Binder, Glass beads 250gms per Sqm (Potters or equivalent approved by Engineer Incharge, Titanium Dioxide, Calcium Carbonate. Inter pillars, pigments as per MORTH specification of clause 803.4.2.2
Supply and fixing of 3M / Avery Dennison Moulded Red/Yellow/White road studs of category A at raised pavement markers made out of Poly Carbonate moulded body and reflective panels with micro prismatic lens capable of providing total internal reflection of the light entering the lens face with retro reflectance and chromaticity values and the product shall confirm to ASTM D4280 and also meet all the testing conditions of ASTM D4280 and fixed to the road surface using the adhesive recommended by the manufacturer. The reflective raised pavement markers shall also confirm to the MORTH circular no.RW/NH.33023/10/97-DO.III and length, height and width of the body shall be minimum of 90mm, 15mm and 100mm and base of marker shall be flat within 1.3mm and outermost faces of configuration of marker shall not deviate more than 1.3mm from and flat surface, with 2 stems of 20mm diameter width 30mm depth. The marker shall support a load of 13635 kg tested in accordance with ASTM D4280. Lenses shall be moulded of methyl methacrylate or equivalent confirming to ASTM D788. The Slope or retro-refectory surface shall preferably be 35 5 degree to base. Each reflector shall have CIL not less than values specified in table 1 of MORTH circular dated 11.6.97 respectively
Providing and laying micro-surfacing (Re-surfacing) (fibre reinforced microsurfacing) over the existing bituminous layer. The surfacing coarse should be comprising of aggregate of Type III grading specification, polymer modified cationic slow setting bitumen emulsion with 65% total residue which includes minimum 60% binder, minimum 3.65% polymer (latex), opc 33 grade of approved brand, chemical additive and water as per MoRT&H . Micro surfacing should be reinforced with glass fibers (minimum content of 0.1 to 0.2 % total weight ) having high resistance to chemicals, alkalis and acid. Fibre should have softening point above 800oC and tensile strength above 1500 MPa and should be able to mitigate reflective cracking (test result for the same to be submitted by the contractor. The thickness of the layer should not be less than 8mm (table 500-34). The detailed mix design should be given by the contractor and design should be approved by IITM prior to execution of work. The test results for the ingredients should be done with a reputed labs . The contractor should give bank guarantee for 10% value of the work towards warrantee for the works valid for 3 years. 50% of the amount will be released after successful completion of defect liability period of 1.5 years. The defect liability for the above work will be 3 years from the date of completion of work which include repairs to any defects / damages within 10 days from the intimation of the defects by engineer incharge. The contractor should give detailed quality control measures to be adopted for this work along with the technical bid. The rate inclusive of tools and plants, specialized labour, taxes and any other over head. The rate inclusive of through cleaning of existing surface, removing the existing road studs and marking etc., complete.
