Taking down existing GI strip 32x6mm thick as earthling lead with its accessories and re fixing to wall/roofs etc. drawn in conduit/GI pipe etc all as specified and directed. Note:- Unite rate is deemed to be included for old broken insulators/ clamps replace with new insulators of existing size from site and making good disturbed surfaces of floors/walls/ceiling etc complete all as directed.

Checking of any breaking in the link of earth strip wire of Galvanised/Copper/Aluminium Strip any size and jointing them by Exothermic Welding or Brazing including taking down old unserviceable one, complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply only common salt commercial in trenches to improve the ER value of existing earth pits.

Supply only charcoal dust/Breeze each bags of 25 Kg in trenches to improve the ER value of existing earth pits Note: (i) Earthing charcoal dust/Breeze shall be supplied in packing as per originally packed by the manufacturer.

Supply only Magnesium sulfate in trenches to improve the ER value of existing erath pits.

Excavation in existing defective earth pit as notified by the Engr-in-Charge and spreading Common Salt, Charcoal dust and Magnesium sulfate complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note:-Common Salt, Charcoal dust and Magnesium sulfate shall be measured in relevant item of schedule. However labour element for spreading is deemed to be included.

Repairing Damaged Earth Pit Cover Factory Made Earth Chamber in cement concrete 1:3:6 (20mm stone aggregate) as shown in Electrical Plate No. 03 of MES Schedule Part- I and providing Pre-cast RCC 1:2:4 (20mm graded stone aggregate) in Slab /Pit Cover 450x450x 50mm in size, reinforced with and including 10mm dia TMT Bars @ 100mm Centre to Centre in both ways including Funnel and cleaning the surrounding of Earth Pit Cover and pouring Salt Water to improve the resistace and measuring and recording the same in presence of Engineer-in-Charge, complete all as specified and as directed.

Air Termination Single Pointed Aluminium Rod 16mm dia and 300mm long with Arrester Clamp 16mm made out of Brass/ Gun Metal including provision of Cement Concrete 1:2:4 (20mm graded stone aggregate) Block 300x300x300mm and necessary Fixing Arrangement at Roof, all Joints should be connected by Exothermic Welding or Brazing complete including taking down existing one all as specified and as directed.

Taking down existing one and refix the same Air Termination Single Pointed Aluminium Rod dia upto 20mm and length upto 300mm including provision of Cement Concrete 1:2:4 (20mm graded stone aggregate) Block 300x300x300 mm and necessary Fixing Arrangement at Roof, complete all as specified and as directed. NOTE : If threaded of the Rod is damaged then Contractor will be responsible for cutting of thread for fixing the Rod. Any minor repairs/ materials is deemed to be included.

Mild Steel Sheet of size approximate 300x200x1.6mm thick Sheet Egg type, Half round type, Rectangular type and Triangular type with welded 1ʺ (Inch) dia 2ʹ (Feet) long Mild Steel Pipe with duly different Synethic Enameled Paint cutting of Equipment Earth/ Lighting Arrester Earth/ Singnal Earth etc. complete as specified duly painted as specified and marking of Earth Plate Number/ Description of Earthing/Type of Earthing on Plate with White Paint including Earth Plate No. and Earthing Resistance with Earthing Check Date and Earthing Check Due Date including taking down old unserviceable one, complete all as specified and as directed.

Earth test point for down conductors on wall with 32x6mm GI strip, 25x3mm aluminium strip, epoxy insulator and GI bolts, nuts and washers complete including taking down all as specified and directed by Engr in charge.

Factory Made RCC 1:2:4 (20mm graded stone aggregate) in Slab/Pit Cover 350x350x50mm in size, reinforced with and including 10mm dia TMT Bars @ 100mm Centre to Centre in both ways, complete including taking down existing one all as specified and as directed.

Stainless steel screw/ nut and bolts (machine made) with hexagonal or square heads at one end and screwed the other each screwed end to be fitted with washers and one hexagonal or square nut of dia 5mm to 10mm, n. exc 25mm long complete all as specified.

LDPE 40 mm bore of pipe for insulation of earth strip from bldg at entry points complete all as specified including taking out old unserviceable LDPE pipe complete all as specified and as directed.

Stop valve, cast copper alloy, screwed down, high pressure with crunch or butterfly handle screwed both ends for union and fixed for size 20mm bore pipe complete including taking down existing one all as specified and as directed.

Cutting and screwing existing GI tubing of size 20 /25/ 40 mm bore for alterations or additions

Arrester clamp for lighting arrester of size 16mm made out brass including taking down old unserviceable one, complete all as specified and as directed.

Cable to tape junction clamp for connecting PVC copper/ aluminium cable with the earth strip made out of brass including taking down old unserviceable one, complete all as specified and as directed.

Checking of earth resistance of following chemical/conventional earthing, identifying the earth and recording of test results in a prescribed format all as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Note for item No 23 to 27 : The following items are deemed to be inclusive of quoted rate :- (i) The above job shall be carried out by a trained technician having ITI in electrical and well known regarding earthing test. Documantary proof of the education of tradesman shall be produced, before commencement of work.

(ii) The aforsesaid test will be carried out in presence of user and MES represnetative. (iii) Two Party (consisting 2 x 1 No. Technician with 2 x 1 No. Helper) will report every Morning at 9 AM to JE E/M for Daily earth testing.

(iv) They will test Earth Resistance Every Day ( not more than 12 Nos earthing/day) in presence of user & MES rep and will record it in prescribed format , same will be put to Engineer-in-Charge,JE E/M duly signed by user & MES rep on very Next Day, failing which a Sum of Rs. 100.00 per Day will be recovered from the Contractor.

(v) Earth Resistance Tester will be provided by the Contractor. (Tester should be caliberated from Authorised Company/ Lab).

(vi) Contractor will be responsible for pouring of water in the Earth Pits Weekly at their own arrangement with Water Tanker, etc. (water will be provided by the contractor at his own arrangement and nothing extra will be admissible).

(vii) Checking of Earth Pits existing and improve it by watering / adding a layer of Salt/ Magnesium Sulphate/ Charcoal, etc.

(viii) Contractor will be responsible for marking of Earth check date and due date on existing Plate with paint as specified by Engineer-in-Charge.

(ix) Contractor will be responsible for cleaning of bushes and grass all around upto 1.50 Metre Area of existing Earth Pit with tightening of Strip.

(x) EP No should be mentioned on individual earth pits and ER value of installation etc all as specified and directed by Engr In Charge.

(xi) It will be the responsibility of the contractor to liase with Station authority to obtain security pass as per station rules for enetring/ working in high security tech area.

Material and labour, earthing complete with copper earth plate electrode of size 600mm x 600x 3.15 mm thick burried directly in ground vertically (depth of pit not less than 2.25 m below normal ground level),with top edge of earth plate not less than 1.5m below normal ground level, eart plate surrounded from all sides by 15cm thick packed alternate layers of charcoal dust and common salt, magnesium sulphate (1 : 1 : .5), electrode connections using copper strip of size 20 x 3 mm thick (upto body of equipment) by means of brazing / welding conencted to main switch board or main control board or test point, protected by galvanised iron pipe light grade 40mm dia bore nd watering pipe 20mm dia bore GI medium grade with funnel and wire mesh including all neesary(excavation & earth work, PCC chamber in PCC (1:2:4) type B-1 & RCC cover, all as shown in elctrical plate No 3 of MES schedule Part-I (2009), testing on completion, complete including dismantling of exisitng earthing all as specified and directed.

Notes:- (i) RCC pit cover shall be pre-cast of RCC (1:2:4) type B-1, 80 mm thick reinforced with XPM not less than 4Kg/ Sqm.

(ii) PCC pit cover shall be constructed 500mm away from the edge of eath pit.

(iii) Rate shall include GI strip and protection pipe of length 7.5m, excess beyond 7.5m lenth required at site shall be measured and paid sepaarately.

(iv) Earthing shall be tested after completion of work by the contractor in presence of Engr-in-charge, user and proper record shall be maintained duly signed by all concerned.

(v) Earth resistance tester will be provided by the contractor. Tester should be calibrated from authorised company/ lab.

(vi) Earth resistance should be less than 3 Ohm, In case the test results are not found below 3 Ohm, complete earthing will redone without any extra cost to Govt.

GI strip 32 x 6mm thick as earthing lead fixed to wall/roofs etc including taking down existing one all as directed.

Aluminium strip 25 x 3mm with saddles and fixing screws etc. for roof conductors and down conductors above ground including taking down existing one all as specified.

Epoxy base insulators of suitable size 40mm height for fixing GI earth strip on wall/ceiling/floor/poles etc including taking down existing one all as specified. NOTE : Quoted Unit Rate deem to be included drilling holes per Metre or as specified on GI/Aluminium/Copper Strip of any type and size.

Brazing / exothermic welding arrangement for existing copper strip of size 32 x 6 mm / 20 x 3 mm thick complete all as specified and directed.

Connecting of copper strip with aluminum strip including bi-metal nut, bolts and washers complete all as specified and directed.

Galvanised Iron Tubing/Pipe 40mm bore, light grade for Strip Protection, fixed in Walls/Floors with suitable type of Clamps, etc. including taking down old unserviceable one, complete all as specified and as directed.

Test Point Terminal Block made of Gun Metal or Phosphorus Bronze size 75x75x25mm, drilled and screwed including 3 No. 8mm dia, 25mm long hexagonal Head Screw including taking down old unserviceable one, complete all as per specified and as directed.

Supply, installation, testing & commissioning of maintenance free chemical earthing system comprising 17mm dia copper bonded rod 3 mtr long horizontally pre welded T-terminal rod with provision for connection size of 50 x 150mm long, 6mm thickness with equal space either side, with 12mm dia hole of 02 numbers each on either side of the terminal clamp with 250 microns (average) coating thickness, tested and certified by CPRI India alongwith 50 Kg earth energizer compound and 10 litres earth resistance reducing liquid. The earthing energizer compound and resistance reducing earthing liquid shall be tested as per IEC-62561-7 read with ASTM G57-06, CI 3.4 A by any NABL accredited lab. The above mentioned rod shall be installed in 8-10 inch bore, 12 feet depth with a distance of minimum 3 meters between each installation. Make : Model HTSP 3I7 of safeTrode or equivalent in OBO Betterman/ FURSE/ERICO.

The quoted rate shall also deemed to be included the following :- (i) Prior to installation of maintenance free chemical earthing, soil resistivity test to be carried out at the location where earthing work to be done in presence of Engr-in- Charge/JE (E/M),user and the report has to submit to Garrison Engineer with recommendation of manufacturer, if required additional interconnection of earthing (not more than 04 number of earthing) to achive earth result less then 1 Ohms. The arrangement done for soil resistivity testing and submission of report with recommendation deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

(ii) The description/ size/ qty of items mentioned in above are for indicating only however qty/ size may vary at site condition to maintain the earth resistance 1 ohm. The contractor shall quote rate by considering all factors.

(iii) Rate of earth energizer compound of 25 Kg of 02 bags and earth resistance reducing liquid 10 litre per cane for each pit deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

(iv) Resistivity of earth energizer compound and resistance reducing earthing liquid shall be certified by any NABL accredited lab carried out as per IEC-62561-7 read with ASTMG57-06, CI-3.4A and the certificate of same shall be submitted by the contractor before commencement of work.

(v) Earth enhancing material should not leach into the adjacent soil or underground water channels and its PH valve should be in neutral range complete all as specified and as directed. It should solidify when mixed with water and set like concrete.

(vi) Copper strip of size 20 x 3 mm should be fixed on proper post insulator at the instrument end ( The rate of earthing strip up to 7.5 Mtrs is included in the quoted rate).

(vii) Testing of earth shall be carried out in presence of departmental and user representative and report shall be submitted to Garrison Engineer duly signed by all concern.

(viii) Earth resistance tester will be provided by the contractor. Tester should be calibrated from authorised company/ lab.

(ix) Earthing shall be tested after completion of work by the contractor in presence of Engr-in-charge, user and proper record shall be maintened duly signed by all concerned. After testing if the desired earth resistance of less than 1 Ohm is not obtained, the earthing will be redone at no extra cost to Govt. till desired result is obtained.

(x) The contractor shall given a written guarantee of minimum three years for maintaining the earth resistance less than 1 Ohm after certified date of completion.

(xi) No further maintenance or periodic watering or recharge shall be required in earthing during its guarantee period of over 03 years in all type of soil including dry or rocky soil.

(xii) During the guarantee period, if earth resistance is not maintained less than 1 ohm the contractor has to redo or rectify at no extra cost to Govt till desired result is mainained.

(xiii) A security deposit of value equal to 2.5 % of the rate quoted for chemical earthing per each earthing shall be retained from payment due to the contractor for the guarantee period.

(xiv) The electrode shall carry manufacturer's name .

(xv) The connection clamp shall be permanentlly welded to the copper bounded rod to avoid any kind of connectivity loss,.The pre-welded copper bounded rod shall not need any additional clamp for termination.

(xvi) The acceptable earth resistance at earth busbar/ test point shall not be more than 0.1 ohm.

(xvii) The contractor shall submit CPRI India certified document for copper bonded rod to ensure genuity of material.

(xviii) Sign board of mild steel 2 mm thick duly painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide Zinc chrome primer showing result of earthing should be fixed near the earth pit after completion as directed by engr -in- charge.

(xix) Earth work such as auguring and making good the surrounding area shall carried out in any type of soil.

Air termination single pointed aluminium rod of 12mm dia 300mm length fixed to GI strip 32x6mm/aluminium strip 25x3mm including nuts, bolts and washers including taking down old unserviceable one, complete all as specified and as directed.

Water tubes of size of 20 mm bore medium grade ISI marked galvanized with all fittings such as bend, elbow, socket, tee etc and fixed complete to wall and ceilings or laid in floors including taking down old unserviceable one, complete all as specified and as directed.

Bib taps 20 mm bore, cast copper alloy with crutch or butterfly handle, screwed down, screwed for iron pipe or for brass ferrule and fixed complete including taking down old unserviceable one, all as specified and as directed.

Supply only chemical i.e. ground enhancing compound in bag of 25 Kg each complete all as specified and directed. Note : Material shall be delivered in the store yard of AGE E/M or as directed by AGE E/M and nothing extra shall be payable on this account. Make :- Safetrode, OBO Betterman, ERICO.

Copper strip 20 x 3mm thick as earthing lead fixed to wall/roofs etc including taking down existing one all as directed. NOTE : All Joints should be joined by Exothermic Welding or Brazing.

Earth pit cover made of heavy duty poly plastic of high grade polypropylene tested and certified by any NABL accredited lab for load bearing capacity not less than 9.2 tonnes with top dia not less than 250mm, bottom dia not less than 330 mm and height not less than 260 mm dia for each electrode pit complete all as specified and directed. Make : Model SEPC 250 of SAFE TRODE/ Electrogrip Model/ EGTEK3LC of ISG Global or equivalent in OBO Betterman/ ERICO. Note :- The contractor shall submit load bearing capacity certificate from the manufacturer.

Earthing with Galvanised Earth Plate Electrode 600x600x 6mm thick burried directly in Ground (Earth Pit not less than 2.25 Metre below Ground Level) with Top edge of the Plate not less than 1.50 Metre below Ground Level, connected with Galvanised Earth Strip of size 25 x 6mm by means of Bolts, Nuts, Check Nuts and Washers of GI or Steel and connected Earthing Testing Point/Bus-bar including GI 40mm bore (dia) light grade Protection Pipe, Earth Plate surrounded by a packed thickness of Char Coal or Coke Dust mixed with Common Salt, magnesium sulphate (1 : 1 : 0.5) in alternate layers of not exc 150mm thick, PCC Pit in Cement Concrete 1:3:6 (20mm graded stone aggregate) and Pre-cast RCC Cover Slab of size 350x350x50 mm in Cement Concrete 1:2:4 (20mm graded stone aggregate), reinforced with 10mm dia TMT Bars @ 100mm Centre to Centre in both ways, GI Wire Mesh, Funnel with GI Watering Pipe 20mm bore (dia) medium grade including necessary Excavation in Soft/Loose Soil, Returning, Filling in and Removal of surplus Spoil upto a distance of 50.00 Metre and all as shown in Electrical Plate No. 3 of MES Schedule Part-I and Testing on Completion including taking down old unserviceable one, complete all as per specified and as directed.

Note :- (a) All Joints should be joined by Exothermic Welding or Brazing.

(b) After completion of work earthing shall be tested by the contractor in presence of Engineer-in-Charge, User and proper record shall be maintained duly signed by all concerned.

(c) Earth resistance tester should be calibrated from authorised company/ lab.

(d) After testing if desired earth resistance of less than 5 Ohm is not obtained, the earthing will be redone at no extra cost to Govt till desired result is obtained.

Supply, install, testing and commissioning of energy conversion digital grounding apparatus three phase 4 wire 240 KA with inbuilt 100% lighting surge protection, noises, ESD, EPR and abnormal electrical characteristics which enter power and other service lines and ensuring clear bonding potential (Earth to neutral voltage) less than 1.0 volt to be connected in parallel to the circuit, conforming to IE, tested and certified as per latest certification (IEC 61643-1, IEC-61000-4-5, IEC-61000-6-1, IEC-61000-6-3, MIL-STD-810-G, ISO 14001-2004) in prewired metal enclosure with pulverulent body painting all accessories required for installation etc complete all as specified and as directed.
