CERTAIN REPAIRS TO SIGN BOARDS PATH/HARDSTANDING DRAINS AND STRENGTHENING OF RUNWAY EDGES BY EARTH FILLING OF AIR FIELD AREA AT AFS ADAMPUR

SIGN BOARDS :-

Dismantling of sign boards any size made with MS or aluminium tubes/squares framework including digging embedded portion and demoliton of concrete and its removal complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

Supply and fix 5mm thick polycarbonate sheet panel, suitable for stickers on one side for various types of sign boards any size in Air Field Area all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge. Note : Stickers will be measured & paid separately under item No 1.03 & 1.04.

M&L for HIP (Reflective) stickers of various size and shape on different types of sign boards of Air Field Area using 3M TM High intensity grade Prismatic Reflective sheeting 3930 to 3937 series of approved colour fixing with pressure sensitive adhesive for unique construction providing high levels of retroreflectivity for multiple traffic situations provinding long term reflectivity and durability all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

M&L for AV 450 series colour vinyls stickers of various size and shape for sign boards as writing numericals, alphabats, border and arrow etc. of Air field area complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

S&F of CPVC Pipe of 5mm thick and 50mm bore fixed to Polycarbonate sheet panel and Aluminium sections/ angles of various sizes as in support/stay for sign boards etc. complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

S&F of aluminium angle/ sections of required size and shape suitable for fixing Polycarbonate sheet panel as in sign boards of various sizes in sign boards etc. complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

Removal of damaged Sign boards up to distance of n. exc 2.00 km of any type and size from the Air field area and removing to store complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

Fixing of sign boards of any type and size in PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate Blocks of size 300x300x450mm in the Air Field area including necessary excavation and earth work complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge. Note : - Item No "1.02 to 1.06" Sample of sign board is kept in the office of AGE B/R-I of this office and can be seen by the bidder's before quoting their offer.

DRAINS :-

Dismantling brick work built in cement mortar of any specification and in any position complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M & L Brick work using sub class ‘B’ bricks (old size) straight or curved on plan exceeding 6 metre mean radius, built in CM (1:4) complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

All as per item 2.02 above but using old bricks retrieved from dismantling under item 2.01hereinbefore including cleaning and removal of mortar from old bricks complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

Brick work in cement mortar 1:4 using sub class ‘B’ old size bricks, straight or curved on plan to any radius in half brick thick walls complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

All as per item 2.04 but using old bricks retrieved from dismantling under item 2.01 hereinbefore including cleaning and removal of mortar from old bricks complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

Flush pointing to brick walls in cement mortar (1:3) complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Excavation in trenches in soft/loose soil not exceeding 1.5 metre wide and not exceeding 1.5 metre deep and getting out complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Removal of surplus soil to a distance not exc 50 metre and depositing where directed at a level not exc 1.5 metre above the starting point complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for PCC 1:3:6 type C-2 (using 40mm graded stone aggregate) as in surface channels and drains complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

Demolition of un-reinforced cement concrete in any position incl. its removal outside MOD land complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

M&L for 450mm bore reinforced concrete pipes , class NP2, laid and jointed with collars complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

M&L for PCC 1:3:6 type C-2 (using 40mm graded stone aggregate) as in fdns, filling and mass concrete complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

Pre-cast Reinforced cement concrete (1:2:4) type B-1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate as in manhole covers and set in cement mortar (1:6) including form work complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. (Reinforcement measured separately).

Mild steel 10mm dia and over TMT bars as in reinforcement cut to length bent to shape required including cranking, hooking at ends and binding with mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9mm dia complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Path/ hardstanding:-

Demolition of un-reinforced cement concrete in ground floor and paving not exceeding 15 cm thick (below or above ground level) incl. its removal outside MOD complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for 100mm thick PCC 1:4:8 type D-2 (using 40mm graded stone aggregate) as in sub base of path/hardstanding complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

M&L for PCC 1:2:4 type B-1, 75 mm thick using 20mm graded stone aggregate as in flooring finishing even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

M&L for PCC 1:2:4 type B-1, 50 mm thick using 20mm graded stone aggregate as in flooring finishing even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

M&L for cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-1 (using 20mm graded aggregate) as in kerbs or mud stops,rounded or chemfered on edges complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

M&L Machine pressed precast concrete interlocking paver blocks any shape and size confirming to IS15658-2006 of 80 mm thick (M-40 Grade) with grey cement and no pigment complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge

M&L Chequered cement concrete coloured tiles 25cmx25cmx25mm thick set over & including 20 mm thick screed in cement mortar (1:6) with neat cement and pointed in grey cement mixed with pigment to match the shade of tiles complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L Fine sand filling under floor in layers not exceeding 25cm each layer including watering and well ramming complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Demolition of un-reinforced cement concrete (PQC) 300mm thick as in isolated slabs of pavements /termac of size not exc. 4.5x4.5mtr with mechanical rock breakers or compresser breaker pin. The outer periphery of each slab to be demolished shall be first cut to full depth to isolate it from continous slab with diamond cutter of suitable size and capacity complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge. Note :- Utmost care to be taken not to disturb adjacent pavement slabs while cutting / dismantling slabs.

Removing demolition rubbish/materials to outside MOD land exceeding 8.00Km and depositing complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

M&L for 300mm thick pavement quality concrete work in pavement of flexural strength 45 kg/sqcm in field using min 400 kg cement per cum as per design mix, mixed with spread and compacted by using needle and screed Vibrators and all as specified and incl necessary formwork, bullnosing rounding off edges finishing by brooming/belting curing etc. complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

M&L for laying 400 micron HDPE polythene film incl. all necessary cutting overlaps not less than 300mm and wastage incl applying VG-10 @ 2.5 Kg/10 Sqm tack coat complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for forming construction joints 25mm deep x8mm wide providing polythene backup rod 10mm dia and sealed with polyurethene sealent(min depth of sealent 12mm) ,priming the sides complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Strengthening of Runway Edges :-

M&L for Bringing approved earth (soft/loose soil ) from out side of defence land (any distance ) and depositing in shoulders of flight strips(Air field area) duly cleaned the grass and vegetation growth and laying of earth in layers n. exc. 25cm thick , spread and levelled to the required gradient/ slope as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge by Engineer incharge. Earth shall be measured on carriage vehicle before unloading and record will be maintained by users and Engineer Incharge. Cost of earth and removal to any lead shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rates. complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

Earth filling along edges & low lying areas of runway and flight strips of air field area by digging/scraping of earth using/deployment one JCB on hourly basis incl. driver and one unskilled labour from 0900 hrs to onwards. Location of Earth digging /scraping and its removal for filling will be directed by ATC Authorities and Engineer incharge complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge. Notes :- Following provisions are deemed to be included in the quoted rates per unit. :-

The time of working hours will be accounted from starting of work actually at site, not at the time reporting of JCB at ATC/site complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

Log book shall be maintained by ATC authorities and contractor for JCB indicating the working hours with time, date and location and shall be produced alongwith every payment duly signed by both parties for technical check.

Earth shall be sweeped with brooms from near runway and taxi track immediately after filling/cutting.

Contractor shall provide One JCB and one unskilled labour (with all necessary T&P required ) to ATC on demand. In case the contractor fails to provide the requisite machinery alongwith labour within three days of written/verbal/telephonee demand, a penalty @ Rs 2000/- per day for JCB and Rs 400/- per day for one labour shall be recovered from the contractor dues. Contractor himself or his rep. shall attend positively verbal / telephonee calls of concerned executives any time.

Earth filling along edges & low lying areas of runway and flight strips of air field area by loading/unloading of loose earth using / deployement of One tractor and trolley (having hydraulic lifting arrangements) on hourly basis including driver and one unskilled labour from 0900 hrs to onwards. Location of Earth loading / unloading will be directed by ATC Authorities and Engineer incharge complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge. Notes :- Following provisions are deemed to be included in the quoted rates per unit. :-

The time of working hours will be accounted from starting of work actually at site, not at the time reporting of tractor,trolley at ATC/site.

Log book shall be maintained by ATC authorities and contractor for Tractor trolley indicating the working hours with time, date and location and shall be produced alongwith every payment duly signed by both parties for technical check.

Earth shall be sweeped with brooms from near runway and taxi track immediately after filling/cutting.

Notes : (i) Amount of credit for retrieved materials is mentioned in Sch 'A' Section-II of tender documents in pdf form which will be deducted while acceptance of tender offline.
