Dismantling Concrete Work : Cement Concrete Plain1:2:4 Mi (HSR 8.6(d) and disposal of waste material with all lead and lift as desired by Engineer-in-Charge.
Construction of embankment, sub grade and shoulder in new road with soil of minimum CBR (4 days soaked) of 8% obtained from borrow pit with all lead and lift transporting to site, spreading, grading to required slope and compacted to meet requirement of table 300-2 of MoRT&H specification clause No. 305. The finished road surface will be as per X-section approved by engineer with respect to GTS. At no place top of sub grade of road shall be less than 0.90 m above adjoining NSL. NSL for a block of 100m will be worked as mean of 6 levels taken on 20 m center to center length of road. These six levels are at three location on both side one at edge ROW. Other at 5 m and 10 m away from ROW. In case the quantity of earth work calculated with NSL and finished level found to be less than 3459.19 cum. Then actual quantity (less than 3459.19 cum) will be paid. In case quantity worked out is more than 3459.19 cum, then only 3459.19 cum will be paid. Excess quantity shall be incidental to work and nothing extra will be paid. Further it shall be ensured that atleast 500 mm of sub grade with earth of CBR 8% shall be constructed at each location. Wherever any cutting of existing subgrade is required on this account excavation as well as handling and disposal of earthwork to accommodate minimum 500mm thick subgrade of minimum 8% CBR shall be carried out by the agency at his own cost. Nothing extra will be paid on this account. Before start of work, L-section shall be got approved from the employer with respect to GTS. However, typical X-section attached at section 5 of DNIT.
Preparation of Sub grade , including trenching, rough dressing of spoil , final dressing of earth, to given levels and camber , watering, rolling with road roller , and compacting the bed [HSR 24.1]. Note: in widening portion sub grade will be prepared with use of Baby roller (HSR 24.1) or width of excavation should be made sufficient wide to accommodate road roller. Extra width required for compaction of sub grade shall not be paid and its expenditure shall be in incidental to the work.
Providing and laying 150 mm thick granular sub base consisting of drainage layer confirming to Table 400.1 Grading –VI of MoRT&H 5th edition, mixing in a mechanical mix plant at OMC, carriage of mix material to the site of work, spreading in uniform layer with motor grader on prepared surface and compacting with vibratory power roller to achieve desired density complete as per clause No. 401 of MoRT&H specifications. Providing, laying 100 mm thick spreading and compacting graded stone aggregate to0 Wet Mix Macadam (WMM) specification including premixing the material with water at OMC in mechanical mix plant carriage of mixed material by tipper to site, laying in uniform layers with paver in sub- base/ base course on well prepared surface and compacting with vibratory roller to achieve the desired density as per MoRT&H specification for road & bridge (5th Revision) of 2013 as per drawing and design directed by the Engineer complete in all respects as per clause No. 406 (N.S) Note: 1.Only crushed metal material should be used. Providing & Laying 50mm thick compacted Dense Graded Bituminous Macadam (DBM) in one layer with drum type hot mix plant/100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant and with a hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with appropriate rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per clause No. 505 MoRT&H specification for road and bridge works (5th edition) 2013 using minimum 4.50% to bitumen grade VG-30 as binder content by weight of total mix, complete in all respect including cost of bitumen instruction issued from time to time by MoRT&H regarding machinery & bitumen will be followed strictly. The use of self propelled mechanical paver fitted with electronic sensor device conforming to MoRT&H specification (5th edition) 2013 in mandatory. If bitumen required more than 4.50% as per job mix formula no extra payment will be made, extra bitumen required will be considered as incidental to work.(NS) Note: Before carrying out bituminous work, coating & stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is to be performed in accordance with IS-6241. If coating and stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is less than 95% anti-stripping agent will be used by contractor. The anti stripping agent should conform to the requirement as stipulated in IS 14982:2017. The cost so incurred will be considered as incidental to work and noting extra shall be payable. The type and brand of anti-stripping agent along with procedure shall be approved by SE-in-charge in writing before start of work. A proper record of results be maintained and same shall be submitted along with bills by the contractor. Note:- Where there is DBM on existing black top, cracks shall be sealed as MoRT&H specification 5th revision clause No. 3004.3, which may consist of (i) Fog Seal/ or (ii) Crack Filling and or (iii) patch work repair as required at site in accordance with clause No. 3004.3.2, 3004.3.3 and 3004.2 of MoRT&H specification 5th revision respectively. Proper measurement and consumption shall be entered in MB for cracks sealed but no payment on this account shall be made as crack filling is incidental to work.
Providing and laying 30 mm thick compacted Bituminous Concrete (BC) in One layer with 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant and with a hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and with pneumatic tyred roller of 12 to 15 tonne weight with a tyre pressure of at least 0.56 MPA and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per clause No. 507 MoRT&H specification (5th Revision) 2013 for road and bridge works (5th Revision) 2013 using minimum 5.4% to bitumen grade VG-30 as binder content by weight of total mix, complete in all respects including cost of bitumen instruction issued from time to time by MoRT&H regarding machinery & bitumen will be followed strictly. The use of self propelled mechanical paver fitted with electronic sensor device conforming to MoRT&H specification in mandatory. If bitumen required more than 5.4% as per job mix formula no extra payment will be made. Extra bitumen required will be considered as incidental to work. The agency should have own batch type hot mix plant of capacity atleast 100-120 TPH in his ownership. Note:- Where there is only BC on existing black top, crack shall be sealed as MoRT&H specification 5th revision cause No. 3004.3, which may consists of (i) Fog seal/ or (ii) crack filling and or (iii) patch work repair as required at site in accordance with clause No. 3004.3.2, 3004.3.3 and 3004.2 of MoRT&H specification 5th revision respectively proper measurement and consumption shall be entered in MB for cracks sealed but no payment on this account shall be made as crack filling is incidental to work.
Providing and laying 100mm thick Dry Lean Cement Concrete Sub –Base Construction of dry lean Cement Concrete M-10 sub base over a prepared sub grade with coarse and fine aggregate conforming to IS 383 the size if course aggregate not exceeding 25 mm aggregate cement ratio not to be exceed 15:1 aggregate gradation after blending to be as per table 600-1 of MoRT&H specification (5th edition) cement content not to be less than 150 kg/ cum optimum moisture content to be determined during trail length construction, concrete strength not to be less than as 10 MPA at 7 days mixed in the batching plant transported to site laid with a paver compacting with 5-10 tonne vibratory roller, finishing and curing as per clause 601 of MoRT&H specification (5th edition ) 2013. Note: - If cement contents are required more than 150 Kg. per cum to achieve strengthening it will be incidental to work and nothing shall be payable on this account.
Providing and laying 230 mm cement concrete of un-reinforced, dowel jointed, plain cement concrete pavement M-40 over a prepared sub base with 43 grade cement @ minimum 360 Kg. per cum, coarse and fine aggregate not exceeding 25mm, mixed in a batching and mixing plant as per approved mix design, transported to site, laid with a fixed form or slip form paver, spread, compacted and finished in a continuous operation including provision of contraction, expansion, construction and longitudinal joints, joint filler, separation membrane, sealant primer, joint sealant, debonding strip, dowel bar, tie rod, admixtures as approved, curing compound, finishing to lines and grades as per drawing and MoRT&H specification No.602. 5th edition 2013 (NS) Note: - Minimum cement contents will be 400 Kg. per cum of concrete as per Job mix formula. If the cement content is more than 400 Kg/CUM, then the extra cement will be incidental to work and nothing shall be payable on this account.
Providing and marking center line/ side line 2.5mm thick (minimum) with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint 10cms wide/ 15 cm wide complete in all respect such as furnishing all labour, materials, tolls equipment including all incidental costs necessary for carrying out in work at site confirming to the technical specification as clause No. 803 of MoRT&H specification for road and bridge works (5th revision) of 2013/ latest edition. Each container of the thermoplast material shall have the name trade mark or other means of identification of manufacturer, batch no., date of manufacture colour maximum application temperature and maximum heating temperature. The thermoplastic paint material shall be of asian paint- apcomark/ berger-sigmarc/ prismo. The glass beads shall be of potters/ sovitec/ fleolite. The thermoplastic material shall be sampled and tested in accordance with appropriate ASTM/ BS method. The contractor shall furnish to the engineer in charge a copy of certified test reports from the manufacturer of the thermoplastic material need all requirement of the specifications. The reflectorzing glass beads shall need the requirement of the clause 803.4.2 and test methods mentioned in clause 803.4.2.4 shall be meticulously followed. The minimum thickness specified is exclusive of surface of glass beads. The method of thickness measurement shall be in accordance with appendix B&C of BS: 3262(Part 3). Note: Before start of the work the contract shall give brand, batch no., manufacturing date of the material to be used and get approved the same from Engineer-in-charge before use.

Note:- Contractor shall supply bill of manufacture of pipes. Pipes should bear name of manufacturer and ISI mark along with bill duly valid ISI certificate of manufacturer should be supply. Without these bills certificate no payment shall be released.
