IMPROVEMENT TO EARTHING INFRASTRUCTURE

Dismantling the existing earthing of any type from equipments/building after disconnecting the connection complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Earthing with copper plate electrode 600mm x 600mm x 3.00mm thick burried directly in ground (Earth pit not less than 2.25 mtr deep below normal ground level ) with top edge of earth plate not less than 1.5 metres below normal ground level, copper strip 20x3 mm dia connected to earth plate electrode by means of copper bolt, check nut and washers, earth strip protected with 40 mm bore light grade GI pipe all as shown in electrical plate no 3 of MES schedule part-1, with and including PCC 1:3:6 type C1 pit with cover of RCC 1:2:4 type B1, reinforced with welded steel wire fabric not less than 4 kg per sqmtr with handle, GI pipe medium grade 20mm dia for water pouring, GI funnel with wiremesh, filling with alternate layers of common salt and charcoal, necessary excavation, refilling, removing away soil and earth work in any type of soil, including test point, testing and commissioning complete including painting and wiritng the earth value on the MS sheet cover all as applicable and as per direction to be given by Engr in charge.

Providing Chemical earthing complete with copper earth plate electrode 900 mm x 600 mm x 5 mm thick buried directly in ground (Earth pit not less than 4.0 m deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 3.25 mtr below normal ground level connected to and including copper strip 32 mm x 6 mm size by means of copper brazing, filling with layers of charcoal & magnesium sulphate, fixing of funnel with wire mesh on watering GI pipe and testing of earthing all as specified by Engineer-in-charge as follows:-

(a) Earthing has to be done in presence of Engineer-in-Charge. (b) For Chemical earthing , Charcoal small pieces - 75 Kg, Salt (crystal) - 250 Kg, Magnesium sulphate (crystal) - 100 Kg shall be used. (c) Copper strip shall be braced with copper plate electrode. d) Alternate layers of charcoal and salt should be laid in the earth pit upto the top of copper plate from bottom at least in 5 layers . (e) After laying the 5 alternate layers of charcoal and salt, two layers of magnesium sulphate has to be laid. (f) The Salt, Charcoal and magnesium sulphate should not be mixed but are to be laid in layers only. (g) The copper strip is to be extended inside the equipment and power room and it should be routed in the side wall of under ground duct fixed with Bakelite/porcelain spacers as required at site.

(h) During execution of work, pour sufficient water in earth pit before and after doing earthing. (j) 25 mm dia GI pipe medium grade with perforated of suitable length has to reach just above copper plate fitted with funnel meshed along with cap ( k) 40mm dia GI pipe light grade for protection of copper earth strip from top of earth plate to test point to be provided. (l) Brass nuts & bolts with proper washers shall be used for copper strip jointing and necessary bracing shall be done as directed. (m) Copper strip beyond 7.5 m shall be measured and paid separately. (n) The test point shall be made as directed. (o) The test report shall be submitted in triplicate. (p) Construction of earth pit chamber shall be with PCC (1:3:6) type C1, using 20mm grade stone aggregate, RCC 1:2:4, type B-1 cover, 50mm thick with 8 mm dia TMT bar 100 mm centre to centre with lifting handles of suitable dia complete. complete all as specified and directed.

S & F earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc. as required of copper strip 20 X 3 mm size including as required suitable clamps/PVC insulators, screws, nuts, bolts, washers, etc. complete all as specified and directed

S & F earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc. as required of copper strip 32 X 6 mm size including as required suitable clamps/PVC insulators, screws, nuts, bolts, washers, etc. complete all as specified and directed

Supply, Install, testing and commissioning of Isolation transformer copper wound 10 KVA capable of protection of load from noise spike and surge that appear in main supply and minimise the earth to neutral potential with single phase 230 Volts 50 Hz input and single phase 230 Volts 50 Hz output transformer ratio 1:1 with class "F" insulation, air cooled type including suitable capacity MCB DP on incoming and outgoing side, Voltmeter with push button has to be fixed on outgoing side to check E-N voltage complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply, Install, testing and Commissioning of Isolation transformer copper wound 30 KVA capable of protection of load from noise spike and surge that appear in main supply and minimize the earth to neutral potential with three phase 415 Volts 50 Hz input and three phase 415 Volts 50 Hz output transformer ratio 1:1 with class "F" insulation, air cooled type, including suitable capacity MCB three phase on incoming and outgoing side, Voltmeter with push button has to be fixed on outgoing side to check E-N voltage and complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix Voltage stabilizer for automatic operation, three phase, naturally oil cooled, indoor type & designed for input variation between 300 V to 480 V with output voltage stabilized at 415 with accuracy ± 2.5% and speed of correction 8 Volts per second and of capacity 10 KVA all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix framed brackets of angles or tees with web and flanges cut to shape, drilled and countersunk for screw, including bending and welding angles, as necessary, gusset plates, reviting, etc. conforming to Fe.290 Gde E-165 complete for making earthing identify plates on triangle/oval/rectangular shapes as required at site complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M & L for PCC 1:3:6 type C2 (using 40mm graded aggregate) in foundation, filling and mass concrete all as specified and directed.

M & L for Plain cement concrete 1:2:4 type B1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate as in pedestal / coping of Earth identifying plates/water tap points including form work If necessary all as specified and directed.

M & L for preparation of new steel surface of any description over 10cm girth or width not otherwise described and applying two coat of synthetic enamel paint over one coat of red oxide complete all as specified and directed

Note: Painting colour will be vary on plate to plate and shape as required at site for item No.10 as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Supply and lay in trenches/floors/walls of GI tubing medium grade with all fittings such as elbow, tee, union, short pieces etc of size 20mm dia bore complete all as directed.

Excavation in trenches n.exc 1.5m wide and n.exc 1.5m in depth and getting out in hard/dense soil for laying of pipes/valves etc all as directed.

Returning, filling in including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers in exc 25 cms in soil all as directed.

Removing excavated materials to a distance n.exc 50m and depositing where directed at a level n.exc 1.5m above the starting point all as directed.

Supply and fix Gun metal, globe or gate valves, with iron wheel head, screwed both ends for iron pipe of size 20 mm dia complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix Bib tap, cast copper alloy with crutch or butterfly handle, screwed down, screwed for iron pipe of 20mm dia complete all as specified and directed.
