Notes for BOQ items:- 1. Contractor is required to deploy the Tradesman & helper daily (except holiday & Sunday) as under:- (a) One Carpenter with One helper for all carpentry related items including Aluminium joinery and steel joinery of Sch ‘A’. All the trandesman shall be available at MES service centre at Bharatiyar Nagar from 0830 Hours to 1630 Hours on all days. The rates quoted by contractor shall deemed to be include this aspect. In case, if the contractor fails to employ the above persons, a recovery of Rs 700/- per tradesman per day and Rs 400/- per helper per day will be deducted from the payments due to him. Contractor shall produce attendance register of tradesman at the time of RAR payment duly signed by AGE. 2. Attendance register alongwith details of complaint to monitor the arrival and departure of tradesman shall be maintained by JE-in-Charge and signed by the contractor on daily basis. 3. The tradesman employed by the contractor shall have experience in their trades. The contactor will get the names of tradesman approved from Engr-in-Charge. The accepting officer reserves the right to reject the employment of such person forthwith. No claim what-so ever be entertained on this regard.

Taking down Chowkhats or frames exc 1.5 sq. m but n exc 4 sq. m with shutters (without taking off shutters from the frame) each all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Taking down Chowkhats or frames (WOOD / PVC) n.exc 1.5 sq. m with shutters (without taking off shutters from the frame) each all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Taking down shutters exc 1 sq. m and n exc 2 sq. m all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Taking down shutters of any description of area exc 1 Sqm but n.exc 2 Sqm each and refixing shutters in same opening or other opening including necessary minor repairs or resecuring or easing as required at site all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: The quoted rate includes necessary materials required for repairing.

S&F Second class Hard Wood Plain solid straight chowkhat and frames, wrought, framed rebated on the solid rounded or chamfered put together with glue pinned at joints all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

S & F Second class hard wood Plain framed, panelled shutter (two panel) 35mm thick with lock rail and panel of 9 mm B.W.P. commercial ply or 12 mm veneered particle board with conmlercial veneering on both faces. The size of rail and stile as per IS: 1003 (Part I), kiln seasoned and chemically pressme treated fitted to chowkats all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

S&F Second class hard wood Glazed and skeleton shutters 30mm thick, open rebated and prepared to receive glass, gauze, etc. (without sash bars), edges of framing plain, chamfered or rounded. fitted with cut and mitred beads for securing glass, etc.; sizes of members of shutters as specified in SSR Part I, Section 8, clause 8.24 (a); supplied and fitted to chowkats all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Factory made solid panel PVC door shutter 30 mm thick (style) consisting of frame made out of M.S. tubes for top & bottom rails. M.S. frame shall be covered with heat moulded plain colour PVC ‘C’ channel having a PVC sheet strip of 20mm width stuck inside with solvent cement for stiles and plain colour PVC sheets for top rail, lock rail & bottom rail on either side & as gap insert for top rail & bottom rail; Panelling of plain colour PVC sheet to be fitted in the M.S. frame welded / sealed to the stiles & rails with suitable PVC sheet beading, and joined together with solvent cement, suppling & fixing in the frame at site as per specification & drawing all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Solid PVC Door Frame of size 50mm x 47mm made out of 5mm plain colour PVC sheet reinforced with M.S. Square tube, suppling & fixing in opening as per specification & drawing all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Dismantling of Aluminium and mild steel works of any description not otherwise provided all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Rendering 15mm thick CM 1:6 on fair face of brick walls or concrete surface finished fair and even all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for prepration of new plastered surface and applying three coats of white wash on walls all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Hacking out old broken glasses any thickness size , quality, description from metal frame including punching or drilling out old glazing pins /spring clips etc all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

S & F 3 mm thick sheet glass ordinary quality and glazing with oil putty and cilips in squares n. exc 0.5 sqm each pane all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for Securing glass of any description in existing metal frames glazed with putty including removing loose or decayed putty, painting/oiling one coat on rebates, grooves, reputtying incl pins and painting/oiling puttied surface to match existing work all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (New length of frame reputted shall be measured)

S&F box hinges for Mild steel windows by means of welding including replacement of damaged hinges / member and making good the surface by painting with one coat of primer and two coats of synthetic enamel paint all as directed by Engr-in-charge. (Note:This work shall be carried out from outside of building. The quoted rates includes for necessary scaffolding as required at site.)

M&L for preparing of steel surface and painting 2 coats of synthetic enamel paints over a coat of red oxide primer all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

S&F Stainless steel wire cloth 0.36 mm nominal dia of wire and average width of aperture 1.40mm and fixed with stainless steel wire staples all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

S&F Plywood 10 mm thick, grade BWR, type BB, fixed with screws to timber frame work all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
