Providing, installation, testing and commissioning of silent type, modular design, vibration free, light weight Eco-friendly Diesel Generator Set of 25.0 kVA capacity with an output of 415 V, 3 phase, pf 0.8 (lag) at 50 Hz for Ranbir Canal Main Head works at Akhnoor. Diesel Generator and alternator shall be coupled and mounted on a base plate of robust construction. The Diesel Generator and alternator shall be fitted on AVM pads on base frame and housed in an accoustic enclosure. The specifications of Diesel Generator Set components are as mentioned: • The Alternator shall be self excited and self regulated of 25.0 KVA rating in three phase at 415 Volt, 50 Hz, 1500 RPM and 0.8 power factor and shall conform to IS: 13364(Part 2)/1992(reaffirmed 2003). The alternators shall be of brush less type with fast response thyrister type electronic automatic voltage regulation which shall hold the voltage within limits of + 1%. The alternators shall be provided with screen-protected drip proof enclosure with minimum IP-23 degree of protection as per IS: 4691/85.The class of insulation of the Alternator would be ‘H’ as defined in IS-4722. The alternator shall be liquid cooled with radial fan mounted on the rotor. • The Diesel Engine shall be turbocharged, liquid cooled and electric start developing required B.H.P at 1500 RPM with Class A-0 Electronic Governing for alternator to deliver specified continuous KVA output at 0.8 lagging PF at NTP conditions (all rating shall be tested at 0.8 PF). The Diesel Engine should be capable of providing 10% overload for one hour for every 12 hours continuous running at full load. The engine should be ISI marked and turbocharged and shall conform to IS: 13018/1990 (reaffirmed 2000). • The Manual Control Panel shall be fabricated from MS sheet of 16 SWG of minimum duly pretreated and aesthetically finished. The Control Panel shall be canopy mounted, dust and vermin proof, floor mounted having composite meter (for digital display of Generator Voltage, Load Current, Power Factor, Frequency, Energy), MCB of suitable rating and standard make, Microprocessor based digital controller, Push Button On-Off Switches, Pilot Lamp Indicators, DG Sets shall be provided with integrated acoustic enclosure which should conform to CPCB/SPCB norms. DG sets shall meet the requirements of Environmental (Protection) Rules applicable or amended till date in respect of noise and emission norms. The DG set shall also be provided with one Battery charger of suitable capacity for charging the battery. Scope of installation & commissioning shall as follows: 1. Foundation: Foundation shall be of PCC type with the ratio of 1:4:8. The length and breadth of the foundation shall be 300 mm more on either side from the respective length and breadth of the complete DG set with enclosures. The height of the foundation shall be 400 mm i.e. 200 mm below and 200 mm above the ground level. The Diesel Generator shall be mounted on Foundation using foundation nut and bolts arrangement of suitable size. 2. Cable: Armoured PVC Aluminium cable and its necessary laying and termination including making connections. 25 mm2, 3½ core Aluminium armoured cable shall be used. Total length of the cable shall be 80 metres (approx). The cable shall be laid underground from generator set upto additional bay and from diesel generator set upto EOT on old bay by clamping on wall through PVC conduit and terminate in junction box. Provision for making connections to be provided by the firm. 3. Earthing: Building suitable earthing station and necessary connections shall be done by firm. The total number of earthing pits/stations shall be 3. The consignee should choose installation site in such a way that the earthing stations can be made within 20 metres of the DG set. Earthing station shall be typically built as per prevalent standard practices. 4. Installation of Day Fuel Storage tank of standard capacity, battery charging, and battery connection. 5. Unloading and placement of DG set on foundation. 6. First fill of lube oil and all filters shall be provided by the tenderer. The tenderer shall also provide 20 litres of Diesel for DG sets. 7. The consumables provided by the firm cover the trial run of DG set as well. The firm shall conduct trial run of the DG set with the available electrical load at site. The trial run shall be for TWO hours. The available electrical load shall be less than or equal to the rated capacity of the DG set. The diesel generator set shall be provided with a warranty of 3 years or 5000 running hours whichever is earlier. This warranty clause shall be applicable to all the components installed for successful commissioning of the Diesel Generator at site. Any other item necessary for completion of providing, installation, testing and commissioning of Diesel Generator Set shall deemed to have been included in the Scope of work for which no extra payment shall be made.
