Eligibility Criteria

Tenders from Joint ventures are not acceptable.

Bidders shall not be under a declaration of ineligibility for corrupt and fraudulent practices issued by Government of Karnataka

A copy of valid KPWD-4registration certificate.

It shall be the responsibility of the Bidder to ensure credit of Tender Processing Fee and EMD into the respective receiving bank accounts of e-Procurement on or before the last date and time of bid submission.

EMD Payments through e-Payment mode shall be made as one single transaction and payments made in part are liable for rejection.

Valid EPF registration certificate.

A valid copy of Caste certificate (with RD number) issued by Tahasildar of the concerned Taluka duly attested by the Gazetted officer. (For the works SC/ST/CAT-1/CAT-2A Contractors only).

The contractor belonging to the SC/ST/CAT-1/CAT-2A shall be the domicile of the state of Karnataka for more than 10 years. Hence, relevant Domicile Certificate of bidder for applying to works shall be scanned and attached to e-tender document.

To qualify for award of the respective contract each tenderer in his name should have in the last five Years period i.e. from 2021-22 TO 2025-26 Achieved in at least One financial year a minimum financial Turnover (in all classes of civil engineering construction works only) of value usually not less than the Estimated cost under this contract for works).

Eligible Tenderers will be qualified only if their available tender capacity is more than the total tender Value. The available tender capacity will be calculated as under Assessed available tender capacity (A x N x 5.0 - B) (only for reserved work)

The amount put to tender mentioned in is exclusive of GST. The contractor is informed to quote his bid without GST and will be paid at prevailing rate.

The necessary certificates / documents shall be scanned and attached to e-tender document. Scanned signature of the bidder/ authorized representatives of the bidder shall be attached while uploading the bid document. The original certificate/ documents shall be produced prior to the opening of bid for verification. The original of all above documents shall be produced for verification otherwise the tender will be treated as non responsive bid and rejected

Prior to awarding of work the Lowest (L-1) bidder should produce the original documents in support of the uploaded documents to enter in to the agreement. If the lowest bidder (L-1) does not produce the original documents for entering into an agreement then his bid can be treated as non-responsive bid as per Clause 26(4) of the KTPP Rules. The name of the bidder who do not produce the original documents shall be barred from participation in any of the tenders to be invited by KBJNL apart from forfeiting the EMD paid through e-cash.

During technical evaluation, if the employer finds that any certificates/information furnished is false, such bidders will be disqualified and barred from participation in the bid.

The intending bidders are advised to visit the site of work, make themselves familiar with local situation about the availability of construction materials, work men, land required for construction activities, etc before submission of bids.

Incomplete tender documents will be rejected.

The contractors/firm shall send the authorization letter for their representatives duly attesting their signature

The contractor should adhere to the time period specified for completion of work, under any circumstances without linking to the pending payment of the work & also Land acquisition problems, if any.

Typographical errors, if any will not be the ground for any claims by the Contractor.

If any of the dates mentioned above happened to be a general holiday, the next working day holds good.

Conditional tenders are liable to be rejected. The officer competent to accept the tender shall have the right to reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason whatsoever.

Corrigendum will be published in the web site /newspapers for all modifications / corrections if any.
