Water proofing treatment to sunken floors of kitchen, toilets, laboratories, bath and WCs etc shall be as under :- (a) The top surface of the sunken RCC slab shall be laid with cross slope as indicated in drgs towards the spouts. The min thickness of the RCC slab shall be as specified in drg. (b) 25mm thick PCC 1:1.5:3 fillets at corners with 12.5mm graded aggregate shall be provided. (c) Plastering in CM (1:3) 15mm thick with WPC on walls as well as on sunken floor finished even and smooth using extra cement. (d) GI Pipe 40mm dia medium grade be inserted at the end of lateral slope projecting at least 15cm beyond the outer most projected part of the building below the drain pipe upto two storey construction and 25cm beyond two storey construction. (e) After doing the plaster, testing be carried out by ponding (for 72 hrs) the sunken portion before further treatment to the sunken slabs. Any leakage/seepage observed shall be rectified before carrying out water proofing treatment. (f) Two component Acrylic modified Cementitious coating:- (i) The surfaces to be applied shall be completely dry and free from containments such as dirt, dust, oil, surface treatments and old coatings. Concrete substrates must be mechanically prepared using abrasive blast cleaning or milling to remove cement laitance, existing coating and achieve a gripping profile that is clean, dry and free from laitance and dry other form of surface contamination. The installation instructions in manufacture's published literature should be strictly complied with, including but not limited to the following:-

(ii) Chipping out any visible cracks in "V-Groove" pattern as applicable. Special attention on this part. Cleaning of cracks & then filling those cracks with SIKA latex SBR 100 putty/ Dr Fixit 302 SBR latex/ Perma latex SBR/ Asian paint latex as required. Final cleaning of surface with power grinder, wire brush, hair brush & vacuum pressure if required. (iii) Dampen all surfaces immediately ahead of application of Acrylic modified Cementitious coating of sika Top Seal-107/Brush Bond FOSROC/ Dr Fixit/ STP/ CICO. (iv) Whilst the surface is still damp from saturation (S.S.D), apply one coat of Acrylic modified cementitious coating of SIKA Top Seal-107 /Dr Fixit/ STP/ CICO of viscosity as per manufacturer's instructions. (v) Apply glass fabric sheet of SIKA Fab 1/ FOSROC/ Dr Fixit/ STP whilst the first coat is wet. (vi) Once touch dry, apply second coat of Acrylic modified cementitious coating of SIKA Top Seal-107/ Brush Bond FOSROC/ Dr Fixit/ STP/ CICO/Burger of viscosity as per manufacturer's instructions on the entire area. (vii) Second coat shall be applied after 6-8 Hrs of application of previous coat and in the direction right angle to the previous coat. (viii) The waterproofing coating should be taken to a height minimum 300mm above the finished floor level on the vertical surfaces. (ix) It is essential to cure Acrylic modified cementitious coating immediately after application (minimum 6-8hrs drying) for a minimum of 3 to 5 days to ensure full cement hydration and to minimize cracking.

(x) A protection plaster 12-15mm thick) in CM 1:3 admixed with appropriate integral water proofing compound has to be applied on the walls. Admixture: SIKA Plastocrete Plus/ FOSROC/DR Fixit/ STP/ CICO conforming to IS 2645. Providing and applying a protection screed of 50mm thick 1:4, cement sand mortar admixed with SIKA Plastocrete over the applied water proofing coating on horizontal surfaces. Admixture: SIKA Plastocrete Plus/ FOSROC/ DR Fixit/ STP/ CICO conforming to IS 2645. (xi) All the corners and joints should be pre-treated with an elastic waterproofing sealing tape with a woven bonding mesh on each surface and an elastic expansions zone in the centre of Make SIKA Seal Tape/ FOSROC/ Dr Fixit/ STP. (xii) The membrane has to be protected in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations until placement of concrete. The membrane to be inspected for damage just prior to concrete placement and make repairs in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations. (xiii) Waterproofing treatment has to be carried out through applicators authorised by the respective manufacturer's and approved by GE. (g) All the joints of pipes and traps within the sunken portion shall be sealed properly by epoxy sealant. (h) All CI traps in sunken slab to be enclosed with PCC 1:1.5:3 (Min 15cm) all around. Note:- Plan area of sunken portion shall be measured and paid.

Supply and applying high built elastomeric waterproofing coating based on pure hydrophobic polyurethane cold applied of spray/brush applied, membrane with an elongation of 280% and tensile strength of 2.7 N/mm2 as per ASTM D 2370, crack bridging ability of 3mm, no leakage upto 5 bars of water pressure as per DIN 1048, min 88% solid content. The system includes cleaning of surface and made free from dust for final base preparation, epoxy primer 1: (resin: harder) application with 100% water dilution and pure polyurethane application in 2 coats with a tortal min consumption of 1.25 kg per Sqm. Application should be done with Graco sprauer by a company authorised applicator
