Design Supply Installation Testing and Commissioning of 100 Tr capacity FRP cooling tower and its associated works for New building AC systems at IMSc, Chennai

Dismantle/Removal of Existing Cooling Tower (Paharpur make) on the terrace (At Pump Room 1) with its complete accessories including all existing pipelines, connected pump sets and its all assembling works including welding, cutting and all mechanical works suitable for site condition and clear the site and as directed by engineer in charge. All servicable materials shall be handed over to IMSc and all unservicable materials shall be shifted to scrap yard at the IMSc Guest house side.

Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of NEW 100TR FRP cooling tower on the Terrace (At Pump Room 2), counter flow -induced draft, 5 hp less blower sound, square type, continuous operation, suitable for 50CMH condensor water flow TOP through model as per IS 4682 (Part 5) : 2024 complete set with all accessories as specified in the technical specifications of cooling tower and as directed by engineer in charge.

Replacing/Removal of existing corroded metal pipelines (4” and 6”) connected in the existing cooling tower arrangement placed in the Pump Room 1 & 2 and including the pump sets (At Pump Room 1 & 2) including modification of existing pipelines suitable for new cooling tower installation and at the pump sets (At Pump Room 1 & 2) including installation of necessary pipe connections and valves and other accessories suitable for the site condition and as directed by Engineer in charge

Site preparation to install new cooling tower on the roof of Pump Room2 including removal of existing unwanted all RCC pedestals and leveling of the floor suitable for new cooling tower installation. Providing new RCC / Brick work pedestals and metal supports / Channels to the new cooling tower RCC foundation, shall be designed considering operating weight of cooling tower including water load with neat workmanship and as directed by engineer in charge. Cost includes supply and installation of minimum 4 nos new foundations with bolts, washers and nuts suitable for the new civil work foundation.

Supplying, erection, testing and commissioning of IS : 1239 schedule NB 150mm (6“) dia MS pipeline, C class, > 4 mm thickness along with necessary clamps, vibration isolators and fittings such as bends,tees, etc. adequately supported on rigid supports duly 2 coats painted with enamel paint/buried in ground excavation and refilling etc. as per specification and as required complete in all respect and completion of entire work including cutting, assembling and welding as directed by Engineer in charge. (The AC condenser water connections between pump sets and the main plenum and to distribute the water to the all outlet pipes suitable for the AC plant).

(The AC condenser water connections between pump sets and the main plenum and to distribute the water to the all outlet pipes suitable for the AC plant)

Supplying, fixing, testing and commissioning of 150 mm dia (6”) BUTTERFLY VALVE (MANUAL) with C I body SS disc nitrile sheet & O - ring & PN 16 pressure rating as specified for condenser water circulation as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-in -charge.

Supplying, fixing, testing and commissioning of 100 mm dia (4”) BUTTERFLY VALVE (MANUAL) with C I body SS disc nitrile sheet & O - ring & PN 16 pressure rating as specified for condenser water circulation as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-in -charge.

Supplying, fixing, testing and commissioning of 100 mm dia (4”) NON - RETURN VALVE with dual plate of C I body SS plates vulcanized NBR seal flanged end & PN 16 pressure rating as specified for condenser water circulation as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-in -charge.

Supplying, fixing, testing and commissioning of 150 mm dia (6”) STRAINER POT/FLANGE/Y Type of Ductile CI Body flanged ends with stainless steel strainer for condensor water circulation as specified and as per suitable to site and as directed by Engineer-in -charge.

Supply and installation of 10 HP Mono block pump sets suitable for 3 phase,415V, AC supply, IP 55, Class F insulation, Mechanical seal, Coupling, Anti Vibration pads, Foundation bolts, starter compatibility with complete set including base frame and all civil foundation works for the AC condenser water system to distribute the water to the all outlet pipes suitable for the AC plant and completion of entire work as directed by Engineer in charge.

Supply and fixing of all MS flanges, reducers, elbows, Tee, nipples, bends, couplings, fasteners with all gasket for the above pipeline modification works to various pipelines and the cooling tower arrangement and completion of the all works as directed by Engineer -in -charge.

Charges for carrying out the entire cutting, assembling, welding works to all metal works like pipes, reducers, elbows, flanges, bends, couplings, fasteners etc and completion of the works suitable for the newpipe line arrangements provided for the new cooling tower directed by Engineer-in -charge.

Supply and laying of professional grade FRP coating as per IS 4682 (Part 5) : 2024, to the 6” and 4 “ dia. MS pipelines provided to the AC systems with minimum 2mm thickness including, rust removal, primer, glass fiber wrapping to avoid the corrosion with minimum 5 years Guaranteed workmanship and completion of the work as directed Engineer in charge.

Supply, fabrication and installation of various MS strucutral items such as Plates, Angles, Channels etc for pipes and pumps as per the site requirement includes ‘L’ and ‘U’ bolts and nuts including all acessories and completion of the work with 2 coat enamel paint with primer etc complete as required .
