Excavation in trenches, n exc 1.5 m wide and n exc 1.5 m in depth; for taking out pipe / cables/ earthing and earth lead etc. n exc 10 sq m on plan and n exc 1.5 m in depth and getting out in soft/ soil complete all as specified and directed.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25 cm in soft/ soil complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated soil n exc. 50m and depositing where directed at a level n exc. 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for PCC 1:3:6 type C1 (using 20mm graded stone aggregate) earth pit chamber having inner dimension of size 54cm x 54cm x 54cm with wall & floor thickness of 150mm thick; laid over 75 mm thick, PCC 1:4:8 type D2 (using 40mm graded stone aggregate) foundation including necessary form work, earth work to earth pit, demolishing old brick Masonry/ PCC chamber and supply and laying of prefabricated RCC earth pit cover of size 60cm x 60cm X 50mm made using RCC 1:2:4 type B0 (using 12.5mm graded stone aggregate) and 8mm dia Fe-500 grade TMT reinforcement bars @ 140mm center to center on both ways, including two nos 8mm dia TMT bar handles embedded into pit cover complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repairs fixing Galvanised iron strip of size 25x4 mm fixed to wall with Galvanised iron saddles and screws / buried in ground/ drawn in conduit/ fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing including connected upto test terminal point complete all as specified and directed. Note : - Insulators/conduit/pipe shall be measured and paid separately under respective iteam of works

S&F in repairs funnel made out of aluminium sheet in conical shape, dia of the funnel should be similar to existing funnel complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for plate earthing in replacement of old earthing complete with galvanised mild steel plate electrode 60 cm x 60 cm x 6 mm thick buried directly in ground vertically (in earth pit not less than 2.25m below normal ground level) with the top edge of the earth plate at a depth not less than 1.5m below normal ground level, the earth electrode surrounded by adequate quantity of charcoal dust and salt to a packed thickness of 15 cm on all sides and including GI earth strip 32 x 6 mm bolted (with GI nuts, bolts & check nuts) and riveted to earth plate at one end and connected to metallic bodies of equipment's/ earthing test point etc., at the other end, earth strip encased in and including 40 mm GI light grade pipe with all fittings from top of electrode to body of equipment fixed with and including 25x4mm iron clamps, bolts, nuts and washer and also including providing watering pipe 20mm bore GI pipe medium grade from bottom of earth pit to top of electrode complete with wire mesh funnel and earth pit in PCC 1 :3:6 type C-1 using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregate and Cl cover and frame complete all specified and shown in electrical plate No 3 of SSR Part-1 including testing earth resistance and submitting test report to AGE E/M by the contractor complete all as specified and directed. Note: - (i) Rates for excavation and earthwork in any kind of soil/ strata, testing on completion, GI strip 32x6 mm and 40 mm dia light grade GI protection pipe upto 7.5 metres from earth plate is deemed to be included in the rate quoted. (ii) On testing after completion the value of earth resistance achieved should be less than 5 ohm if the same not achieved, earthing will be redone by the contractor at no extra cost the department till achieving desired value of earthing resistance to entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge.

Material & labour for maintenance free grounding solution set earthing in replacement of old earthing comprising of high tensile low carbon steel rod of 3 meter length & 17.2 mm dia with 250micron (average) molecularly bonded copper thickness on the outer surface along with earth enhancing back-fill compound strictly be a carbon based conductive concrete type which has a resistivity of less than 0.12 Ohm Mtr. Back- fill compound should be electronically conductive (Like in metals) and should not depend on moisture for conduction, back-fill compound should be environment friendly, should solidify when mixed with water and set like concrete and should not leach / diffuse into the ground, back fill compound shall not be mixed with any soil while pouring in the bore hole. The earth electrode should finally be housed in a heavy duty readymade type PVC chamber with future access cover. (ii) On testing, after completion, if the earth resistance< 5 ohms is not obtained, earthing will be rejuvenated without any extra to the department. (iii) Test certificate from the OEM has to be produced by the contractor for the material used in earthing.

Supply and fix in repair Copper strip of size 100 X 50 X 5 mm drilled and screwed including 3 nos 8 mm dia screw and washers connected to Copper/ Aluminium / GI strips after taking down old one complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in repair Air termination single pointed aluminium rod not less than 12mm dia and 300mm long end threaded all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix in repair Post insulator epoxy LV type suitable for aluminium/ GI strip 25 x 4 mm lightening conductor fixed on wall/roof/pole including screw after taking down old one complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and laying in repair 32 mm bore class 3 grade PVC pipe for protection of earth strip completein trenches / fixed to walls fixing with suitable clamps at 0.5 meter apart spancomplete all as specified and directed. Make:- Finolex, Polycab ( NOTE :- Rates for flat iron clamps, bolts, nuts and washer etc are deemed to be included in rate quoted)

Taking down old unserviceable roof earth continuity conductor/ static discharge strips of any type and description/ size from wall/roof/floor and refixing the same with insulator epoxy coated at 0.5 metre span including brass nut , bolts, washers etc. and making good to the disturbed surfaces to match the existing complete all as specified and directed at site. Note : - Insulators shall be measured and paid separately.

Labour charges to carry out ohmic resistance test and recording the resistance value of lightning protection system in presence of MES/ Air force representative complete with air termination but without earth connections by dividing the system into convenient section at testing point by suitable joint by using kelvin bridge or other suitable portable precision testing set all as per IS -2309 of 1969. NOTE: - Wornout missing nuts, bolts, washers, rivets etc shall be replaced and roof/down conductors shall be straightened. The result should be recorded in the result sheet and on building at place directd by Engineer-in-chg.Two seprate team should be used for recording the test result and the Test result should be submitted to the AGE E/M Office on daily basis. Testing equipment & ladder has to be arranged by the contractor on his own. The quoted rate is deemed to be inclusive of this provision.

Labour charges to carry out Earth resistance test with well calibrated suitable earth resistance tester after opening the test points and recording the result in presence of MES/ Air force representative complete all as per IS 3043 of 1966. NOTE: - (i) The result should be recorded in the result sheet and on building at place directd by Engineer-in-charge. (ii) Two seprate team should be used for recording the test result and the Test result should be submitted to the AGE E/M Office on daily basis.Testing equipment & ladder has to be arranged by the contractor on his own.The quoted rate is deemed to be inclusive of this provision.

Note:- The amount against the Schedule of Credit mentioned in the tender document shall be deducted from the total amount quoted against Sch 'A' while deriving the Contract Sum for Acceptance.
