Providing and constructing gabian structures for erosion control, river training works and protection works with polymer wire crates divided inti 1 m compartments by cross netting with mesh opening size 150mmx150mm, made from 9mm polymer rope (PP) having weight of 40grm/m with a tolerance of + or -8%,1560 kg breaking strength (min) and after 1000 cycles of abrasion the rope shall be subjected to tensile test as per IS: 7071 (Part IV)-1986, which shall be more than 85% of the original breaking strenth of the rope, the crates shall be filled with bloulders with least dimensions of 200 mm, all loose ends to be securely tied with 9 mm polymer wire as per the specification of standard specification of gabions and as per the direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
